The service was great and they were willing to cook my guest another steak after she mentioned that it was not tender enough. Overall, Annona had good service which matched the food."

  • "The menu itself is great - both I and my guest chose from the summerlicious menu. The service wasn't that great, as our server didn't check up on us that much although he was friendly. The food was good too, however when it got to the table it didn't feel hot, as if it sat at the pass too long. The wine list is impeccable and extensive with any wine you can imagine. Overall good experience."

  • "Strong fish odour in dining room (special was fish, but whole restaurant reeked like kitchen). Staff friendly enough, which was the one compliment I can make about this place. Drinks overpriced but not surprising given venue ($17 cocktail). But wine list was ridiculous, several lower quality bottle that retail for $15 were being offered at $75-$100. Mostly non-LCBO, guess they were hoping customers wouldn't know. A wine we often buy at LCBO for $40 was $300. Will always be markup, but standard is about 2.5 times retail, this was offensive. Menu was disappointing too, so we ended up checking open table for other options nearby, found several, and finished our drinks and left. Saturday evening and the place was empty -- now I know why. "

  • "My husband and I had dinner at Annona for the first time on a recent trip to Toronto. The dining room was quiet and soft music played in the background so that we could talk and easily hear each other - so relaxing! I ordered a delicious kale salad tossed with tangerine slices and oyster mushrooms that had been sautéed in sesame oil. This was followed by the seafood risotto which was creamy, rich and had large chunks of shrimp and lobster.....my mouth is watering just thinking about the flavors. I ordered the risotto in the smaller size and still wasn't able to finish it because the portion was substantial, besides, I had to allow room for dessert! We ended the evening with the coconut cake, a latte and a stroll through Yorkville."

  • "I think there was a miscommunication between the restaurant manager Noel and the server. Noel was extremely accommodating with respect to the dietary request I had made at the time the reservation was confirmed. The request was to substitute one person's portion of the smoked salmon pinwheel and tuna tartlet with a chicken or vegetable alternative. However, the server did not know about this substitution when we explained TWICE after seeing that the request was not met. Then when he went to make the substitution, we assumed he understood our request. He returned with the alternatives as requested BUT he also substituted the shrimp cone. They also ran out of mini red velvet cupcake. We were disappointed with the server's confusion. "

  • "Loved the option to pick the size of your protein (e.g. Fish 3.5 oz/7 oz, filet 4 oz/8oz, etc) and one of at least six accompanying sauces, and then select two sides. You end up with a delicious, equally gourmet meal as the other fixed menu options. I had the halibut with asparagus and beets and citrus salsa sauce. The fish was flaky and light with a crispy sear atop the asparagus and all surrounded by beets and a mini cup of the salsa on the edge of the plate. My husband had the best filet (off the regular menu) he had in all our nights at restaurants topping steakhouses. We finished with a fruit gateau, strawberry and rhubarb in an almond cake served with homemade vanilla bean ice cream. Delightfully defeated my small portion. Worth it! "

  • "I wasn't too impressed with the quality of food that was served for the special mother's day afternoon tea. The special menu was about $10 more than the normal menu, so I had expected better food. The macarons that were served was made by a beginning pastry chef. It was hard, hollow and tasted like nothing but sugar."

  • "There was such confusion about our reservation. Phone calls, emails etc. in the end it wasn't crowded but hotel insisted on my credit card number and then never confirmed my reservation. The brunch itself was incredibly expensive , far too expensive but partly our fault as it was way too much food at one sitting"

  • "I particularly appreciate that Annona accommodates everyone from grandparents to Toddlers with food and service to match all needs. This is our "go-to-it" restaurant for Sunday brunch with family and friends. The Eggs Benedict is wonderful, fresh grilled asparagus and baked tomato with the Urban Breakfast is perfect and limitless (terrific!) coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice make Annona a real find! The atmosphere is friendly and efficient with lovely white table cloths that the staff have no trouble changing in the event of "baby spill". Highly recommended."

  • "Situated beneath the South tower of Toronto's posh Park Hyatt, Annona is as good for romantics as it is for the single guest needing a proper meal. Olive focaccia bread is tasty, filet mignon on a ed of spinach and blue cheese gnocci hearty & tender, veggie curry on basmati rice delicious and spicy, bitter green salad a perfect starter...very pleased with the room, the wine selections, the service, and the extra candy treats when I couldn't decide on a dessert. Stayed at the Park and glad I experienced Annona at a table, as it's a room I'm now recommending anyone in Toronto eat at, regardless."

  • "My husband and I enjoyed a tasty dinner. I am on a restricted diet so I was so happy that they offered a la cart with small portions. I'm not eating grains so I was able to pick exactly what I wanted. I had a 3 oz piece of chicken with asparagus and portobello mushrooms. The sauce I picked was a pesto sauce. So healthy and delicious. My husband enjoyed the surf and turf off the regular menu. He said it was delicious. The presentation of both meals was awesome, which is very important to us. The atmosphere was nice with the white table cloths and nice decor. I definitely would go back again. "

  • "I went there with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I did not know about this restaurant before, and just found it through Opentable because it was close to where I was. The restaurant was smaller than I expected, but the atmosphere was nice, more on the quiet side, fitting its location in the Park Hyatt. We were greeted and seated nicely, as you would expect from such restaurant. We did not order from the fixed menu, but decided to go a-la-carte. The food was surprisingly nicely done, and very well presented. Service was definitely a highlight for this place, as staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. My wife was quite impressed with the restaurant, and our anniversary well celebrated!"

The halibut was cooked to perfection and was probably the best such fish we've eaten in a long while.   • "I went there with my friends for the winterlicious on that day. I was exciting to go there so badly and I recommend to my friends and I brought my friends for had a brunch. Unexpectedly, first appetizer that they bring, not carefully put it down on the table properly and one of my friends are still drinking the soup but without asking, they took away. It wasn't busy that time, and the waiter should remove the knife/folks a bit of the side quietly and put the dish down on the table nicely not put it down like make the noise as a cheap restaurant. They should retrain the service otherwise will get another bad comment like this. The food was good but service wasn't good let's say."

  • "Service started a little slowly - we were seated and then ignored for 5-10 minutes - maitre de was basically standing close by - wouldn't happen at Canoe. Once given menus the attention to detail and service levels were superb. Food was beautifully presented and of a high standard. portions were reasonable - all in all a very good experience. Beautiful understated elegant room exactly what one would expect in an older top Toronto hotel."
