Decor was nothing special for NYC. There was a strong stink from the kitchen and bathroom of mold or bad food, The dinnig room was a bit worn looking and warm on a summers night. The food was very good.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2004

The amuse bouche was simply incredible. The same can be said for the tuna with 3 mints and the scallop appetizers. Unfortunately the japanese snapper and lamb tenderloin main courses missed the mark a bit. The fish was dry with very little flavor and the lamb while perfectly cooked was a bit gamey. The side dishes accompanying the lamb were outstanding. Dessert was tasty-chocolate biscuit pudding with banana mousse, but it's a misnomer-there's no real biscuit (I get it, it "looks" like a biscuit) nor pudding. It's a molten chocolate cake. Everyone does it and here it's done well, as is the banana mousse but it's nothing new and at $9 a pop I should be wowed. I'll definitely check out Annisa again. The service rated a 10/10

food was outstanding, presentation was simple. Just good enough portion of 7 course meals. only one thing I'd like to say. each table was so close that we sat next the obnoixiously loud group that they seemed to own this restaurant. Those people need to learn some manners in small space. Otherwise, it was great dinner and excellent wine.

We've dined here about five or six times and have never been disappointed. The chef's tasting menu is a great way to experience the variety and creativity of the cuisine. The food is always exquisitely prepared and presented. The wait staff uses a team approach to serve and describe the various dishes (and their many ingredients) quite effectively. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Annisa is a very nice restaurant. They have a lot of items that true "foodies" would go for such as chicken with pig's foot and a sea urchin dish. Since my husband and I are adverse to new protein sources, we were loath to try the more exotic dishes yet we were both loved our food. The marinated, Indian-style eggplant was great. Also, I loved my miso marinated Sable fish and he loved his lamb tenderloins. The restaurant is situated on a quite street in the Village. Yummy.

Disappointing for a 27 in the Zagat - Expectation are high with 27 in the Zagat The appetizer were very average though the desserts were excellent. The space is tiny! we had to wait at the bar ( tiny too ) and we were disturbed 4/5 times by the hostess or some waiter to go through. The decor is ...sort of inexistant. Finally at the table where we were there was this very annoying smell of rotten cheese like a piece of old cheese was stuck to the couch we sat on

Food was great and the service was friendly but professional. The chicken liver amuse bouche was very tasty - and I hate liver. The portions were on the smaller side but i didn't leave hungry. I really trusted the judgement of the server on food/wine selection and the chef delivered on the recommendations. The dessert choices were too ambitious in my opinion - I was hoping for one choice that I was really drawn too, but we left without eating dessert. The wine list was appropriately priced and we were happy with the choices of wines by the glass.
