We were seated in their covered porch area and had a wonderful and attentive server. We enjoyed the little extra touches of complimentary glassed of sparkling cider, the gorgeous view of their beautiful gardens and the fabulous apple pie and ice cream they gave us for our anniversary. One of our guests had the caprese salad as an appetizer and she commented on the excellent flavor of the tomatoes. It is hard to find
tomatoes in St. Louis this time of year that actually taste like the were ripened by the sun in the garden.

My only complaint would be when there are large groups , the noise level is very high in the outer dining room. On this last experience, I had a guest from out of town and we were interrupted a number of times by loud bursts of laughter and shouting. This may have been a one time experience. The halibut, a daily special, was topped with Mediterranean components and melted on the palate like butter. While the service began great, the busier the restaurant got, the service quality diminished slightly.

Our server was amazing from start to finish with explaining everything from specials to any questions we had. The server overheard me say Happy Birthday to my significant other and she popped up and said " O, I am so sorry I did not know it was your birthday, I greatly apologize. Let me get you our apple pie and cinnamon ice cream to go". Just was a wonderful and delightful experience. Could not have asked for a better experience!!

They were very accommodating with our reservation, the food was superb, and our server was very friendly and patient with my husband who is a very "no-fuss" diner when it comes to food. The only improvement on our experience would have been where we were seated. We requested a booth and were seated in the bar.
