Diner Reviews
  • "Dinner was terrific. Easy to recommend. Made a reservation and was seated immediately on arrival. Very busy place, but service was on time and efficient. No rushing."

  • "My first and second visit to this restaurant went well. The third visit, on the other hand, did not. My party of four ordered dinner at 7:15 this Saturday night and did not receive it until around 8:15. The food is slightly above average, but not worth the wait when it is crowded."

  • "Food and service were outstanding. We even were interrupted by a fire drill before we ordered but once we got back in everything was seamless. Food was great, service excellent. Would definitely go back!"

  • "We were seated promplly away from loud large and raucous tables but not far enough. After an hour wait the food had not yet come. Then mercifully the fire alarm system was activated and the entire restaurant was evacuated. We did not return. Deus ex machina?"

  • "I was pleasantly surprised. I went when it was Brix 67 and it was good but Anna's is better. I was happy to see the kitchen was now closed and the dining room though a bit close created a nice atmosphere. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves as I looked around. I ordered a fish dish that was a little overdone for my taste but my husbands lasagna was delicious! The menu had a nice variety. I had trouble choosing. The cheeses appetizer was great! It had a nice selection to choose from. They also had a small wine list of CA wines even though its a BYOB. Serves by the bottle or half bottle only. I will definitely go back and try what they have. It might even be nice to just go in for wine and cheese! :)"

  • "I have eaten here before so we thought we would go back. The food is very good & thats where it ends. The service is poor . The hostess had an attitude from the moment we walked in. It is BYOB , but you can purchase wine by the bottle or half bottle only."

  • "My husband and I recently met long time friends for dinner at Anna's on a Saturday night. Reservations were made and we were promptly seated. I loved that it was a BYOB. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs. We never felt rushed. In fact we were there for 2 1/2 hours chatting, eating and catching up! We shared a fried Calamari appetizer which was average. We all tasted the Beet Salad which was quite fresh and tasty! All of us enjoyed our entrees which included Chicken Parmigiana, Linguini and Shrimp in a Marinara Sauce, Margherita Chicken and Whole Wheat Penne with Chicken. I would definately recommend ths restaurant."

  • "Tables have less than two feet of space between them. Having no privacy at all for conversation."

  • "My husband and I returned to Anna's three weeks after our first time there. This time we brought our aunt who had not been to Anna's before. The food, service, etc. were even better this time - so much so that we will be returning this weekend when both of our children are home from college."

  • "Everything was pretty good, except the squirmy kid who was kicking my girlfriend. The tables are kind of close together."

  • "First time going to Anna's and it won't be the last! Wonderful wait staff and very attentive. I had the Veal Saltimboca and it was to die for. The veal was very tender and it had an excellent wine reduction sauce. We will definitely be back."

  • "My wife and I scrambled to find a reservation on a Saturday night in Summit and the only place of interest with availability was Anna's. We were hosting friends and were concerned that we may be in for a let down but we were both pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was lively yet we could maintain a conversation with our guests."

  • "My husband and I tried Anna's Ristorante in Summit the day after Valentine's Day. We both enjoyed it. Parking is not a problem since the Summit parking deck is close by. My husband ordered steak which he likes extremely rare. He is often disappointed since it usually comes out overcooked. However, he said the steak at Anna's was perfect. I had the lasagna which was a bit of a disappointment - lots of meat, sauce and cheese but I had trouble finding any pasta. But, that being said, I would return to try one of the other delicious-sounding dinners on the menu. My husband loved the bisque which was a special and I enjoyed my salad."

  • "Rude hostess set the tone for the night. Asked to make a substitution and they wanted to charge $3. We are talking pasta here. And to boot there was nobody but us in the restaurant. When the dinner did come the pasta tasted like Chef Boyardee. Complete mush. The manager could care less. Didn't bother to come over and apologize or offer to make it right. On top of that, they rushed our dinners as we were not done with our first course and my husband was served his dinner and I had to wait. For mushy pasta. Could not wait to get out of there. Seriously there are so many places in Summit and the surrounding area that I would not waste your money on this place. Overpriced, less than mediocre food"

  • "I loved Anna's! There's something for everyone on the menu and the food was delicious. Prices were very fair and the service was excellent. Ronni"

  • "Just ate at Anna's on a recent Saturday night, great food and a local gem especially on a cold, dreary winter night when you don 't want to have to travel far for a really good dinner. It was busy and lively and the 4 of us all enjoyed our dinners. Their choices are all delicious and the service is relaxing but on top of whatever is needed."

  • "We were a large group that went for lunch. It was very nice, the food was good and the service attentive. I would go back for dinner."

  • "Gave this restaurant a second try. Ordered eggplant parm which was good but came with no side for $17. Never had that happen before. Always comes with side of pasta. Ordered a $13 dessert that was not as described and was awful. Called the caramel apple crunch, was no more than raw apple cut up and thrown iver a small scoopnof icecream with some caramel syrup drizzled over it. Too many other great Italian restaurants in thearea to return here."

  • "The food was very good., The pasta was al dente and was seasoned very nicely. The vegetables in the pasta dish were fresh. A very nice restaurant.,"

  • "This is a nice restaurant with an interesting menu and one of us raved about the burger. Lots of attractive, open space. We all had different choices and liked them. Table clearing was awkward with leaning across and stacking instead of walking around."
    Dined on 1/17/2014
  • "We had high hopes but came away totally disappointed. Antipasto salad was bland with what felt like supermarket quality meats. Cheese was boring with mozzarella cheese dry and rubbery. Veal and chicken was nothing to rave about. Mashed potatoes were cold and under seasoned."

  • "We dined at Anna's on New Year's Eve. The servers were energetic and friendly and the food was delicious as always. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a good Italian meal."

  • "We have been to Anna's Ristorante before, and were never disappointed- the food is great- service usually very attentive- wine list very nice. We wanted to spend a quiet Christmas Eve Dinner together, and chose this new favorite of ours- only to leave saying- not again at a special night. When we arrived, it was fairly empty and still reasonable quiet. Service, while friendly, was very rushed! We ordered a cold appetizer, which came right away- and we had not even finished our last bite- the entrees were on the table. We could hardly continue our conversation. Coffee came with the check- and a dismissal from the server. Disappointed for what should have been a nice Christmas Eve dinner. Will come again- but during the week."

  • "My husband and I ate Christmas Eve dinner at Anna's. Food and service were great. I ordered Chicken Murphy. For those who love hot & spicy, this dish was exceptional. I loved it. My husband had white clam sauce and clams over linguine. His dish was also great. We definitely will be back in the near future."

  • "I had the house salad along with the house dressing- a creamy balsamic-delicious, I would recommend. My husband started off with a personal margarita pizza- it looked and smelled so good I had to steal a slice. For our main courses, I had the sausage lasagna- nice size portion, lean sausage, a smooth tomato sauce perfectly seasoned. My husband had whole wheat rigatoni with calamari, crab, and shrimp in a lemon sauce- light, healthy and delicious. Dessert, again lots of homemade choices- had the flourless chocolate torte- cant and didn't go wrong with that . Great service as well. We cant wait to go back and explore more menu options..."

  • "every time i dine here i have a great experience…this did not disappoint. we had a large party that was easily accommodated; the waitress waited patiently for the complete party to arrive, and was not at all disappointed when, about 30 minutes later, we realized the missing person was not coming. she was very gracious and provided excellent service. the food was awesome as always and the evening was enjoyed by all."

  • "We've had nothing but positive experiences at Anna's. The appetizers have been a particular favorite; in this case it was the beet salad. The entrees were outstanding - a seafood pasta and a grouper over an arrugula risotto. Service was very attentive on a snowy evening. It's a very comfortable neighborhood restaurant."
    Dined on 12/14/2013
  • "Have been there a number of times. Lasagna is outstanding; veal Marsala-outstanding. Grouper-very good. Chicken rollotini-was a little bit dry. Good food at a reasonable price. BYOB"

  • "We have been making Anna's a habit lately. For a change I ordered Momma Anna's lasagna. I is made with sausage and fresh pasta. It was so delicious I ate all of it after saying I was going to take 1/2 home. I am always skeptical about eating red sauce in restaurants, because I am partial to my own, but I would eat Momma's everyday. We ordered the Red sangria and it was very fresh and fruity but a little too sweet for me."

  • "Very sweet waitress, who let an old friend and I have plenty of time to catch up (didn't interrupt). Bread served before dinner took me back to my Nonna's kitchen, so good, in fact, better than my entre (whole wheat pasta with chicken and asparagus."

  • "This is our favorite restaurant to bring our grandkids. Our server, Lauren I think, was very accommodating to the kids. Water and Juice in covered cups and we asked for their food to come out as soon as possible and it did. The kids really liked going to a grown-up restaurant. Grandpa and I ordered the Nori tuna as always. Excellent!"

  • "We had a delicious dinner, with great service. We appreciate the ability to have the kitchen share our apps, salad and main courses so we have the ability to enjoy multiple items on the menu. It was a great evening."
