Annapolis SmokehouseGreat Place!As I live less than a mile away I have eaten at the Smokehouse since day 1. At first they had a few things that needed to be worked out but they seem to have come into their own. Very nice staff, atmosphere and the food is great. The food was delicious and the staff was absolutely terrific. One of us had a sampler plate, one had the barbecued shrimp and I had salmon. We talked to the owner who is obviously committed to ensuring this new restaurant in Annapolis is a success. In fact, she was our server so you know the commitment is there--clearly hands-on and it shows. We will definitely be back. Even our waitress saidits tough for people to hear her tell the daily specials over the noise, saying most people thought the soup of the day was ham instead of lamb.
It's also cold so bring a sweater, especially if they seat you right next to the door!
Food is terrific though-3/23/2013 12:00:00 AM1at Impressions Say A Lot!Our 1st visit, interior was beautifully decorated; loved the interesting prints on the walls. Service was impeccable. Food portions were great. Smokehouse mac and cheese was ok. The Armidillo eggs were excellent, the Fried Green Tomatoes were great (even got my husband liking them and he hates fried green tomatoes, and the Shrimp,Corn and Sweet Potato Chowder was surprising to see on the menu, and we're so glad we ordered it. A light soup with so much flavor. The chef came out to greet us and was pleasant and warm. Overall, good food, nice atmosphere, easy to find, great service & prices. We will be back.3/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I came hereMy husband and I came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We had never been before. They seated us right away and our server, Sam, was extremely friendly and helpful. We had the wings naked and they were the best we ever had. We also had the crab dip which was very good.
