  • "We go here for special occasions and we were not disappointed. A great meal with incredible service!"

  • "(We have been here before) - Exquisite experience; minor issue with seating, quickly, pleasantly resolved; my before-dinner cocktail served in a way I've never had previously - excellent; table-side prep of fresh, pulled mozzarella - excellent; entrees and sides - all excellent; knowledgeable and congenial staff-ALL"

  • "the dining area was a little to modern for the mansion itself. I played on the mansion front lawn when i was a child and the old time feeling wasn't in the dining room at all. Nothing on the walls or shelves that resembled back in time. colorful glass reminded me of Corning NY (corning glass museum) not Glen Sanders Mansion."

  • "Went for a special occasion dinner not knowing what to expect, since we were from out of town. Tremendous service, top notch food and a first rate atmosphere. Punches above its weight; better than many fine dining places in much larger cities. We'll be back."

  • "We celebrated our first anniversary here and were not disappointed. Our waiter, Bryan, was right on top of everything. His presentation of the caprese tableside was very impressive. The little gal kept our water glasses filled at all times. We certainly would come back again."

  • "We looked forward to our meal at Tavolo for WEEKS having had a very positive experience prior. This time NOT SO MUCH. Although we had a reservation, we were told to "sit wherever you like" and not escorted to our table. Bad start. There was a VERY loud group at the bar, which took away from the quiet and cozy atmosphere we enjoyed on our prior visit. On top of everything, 80's rock ("Don't Stop Believing") was playing. To have to listen to that while eating a $30 entrée is ridiculous. I brought the music to the waiter's attention, and he asked the bartender to change it. He put on DAVE MATTHEWS station. Is playing appropriate dinner music really that hard? For us, the little lapses, noise, cold temp. ruined the experience. Bummer. "

  • "We have never had a "bad" meal at Tavolo. However, this most recent meal was not very good. Wife's daily special main course, pasta with crabmeat and peas,($28) was overly salty. To our server's credit she offered to have the chef make a new plate, but wife declined since it would basically disrupt the entire meal flow...a few tastes later she regretted the decision. My veal chop ($35) was ok but oddly was buried under a large pile of arugula, which, to me, did nothing to complement the meat. At the least it served as a substitute for salad, leading me to my major complaint..neither salad, vegetable, or starch are inlcluded with any entree. Salads are a minimum $6, vegetable $10' and potato or pasta $6. We no longer find any value here. "

  • "Had a great dinner at Angelo's Tavolo and have not been there since it was redecorated and it's very nice. Food was very good. Would recommend it for a special occasion. It's not inexpensive but worth the treat."

  • "They seemed to be very short staffed on Mother's Day evening. We were there for quite a while before a server acknowledged us, and then it was to apologize and say it would be a little while longer. Then another server took over for the first, but we still found ourselves waiting for every step in the process - Entrees, plates cleared, ordering dessert, and the dreaded having to wait to ask for the check. This was even though the Dining Room was half empty when we had our entrees. This would have been poor service at a neighborhood italian place, it was very surprising at a place of this caliber."

  • "Our waitress Rachel was seemed to be the worst of the bunch. She arrived at our table with what I would call a sort of 'flip' attitude which continued through the evening. She says are you ready to order, my wife says what do you recommend, and instead of talking about the specials for the evening a flip remark. She never brought over bread, and we spent most of the night looking for her; except to drop off the bill and to take it. She actually interrupted our conversation to take the check 10 minutes after dropping it off. Extremely poor taste. I asked for low sodium, because I have high blood pressure, and she spent 10 minutes telling us why she might not be able to accommodate our request. Like an act of congress. "

  • "The food was delicious and our waiter was very personable... but the service ended up being VERY slow in the end as he was the only waiter for entire lounge."

  • "This establishment executes consistently well on both food and service. I found the menu to be creative, balanced and delicious. The service was proficiently excellent while allowing for just enough informality to take service from good to great. This meal was an important business dinner and my guest was duly impressed; the environment was perfect for a private discussion. Very much enjoyed. Cheers"

  • "As always Tavolo did not disappoint. Bryan and Suzy were awesome as always. The service was great, even considering it was a holiday(Easter) and very crowded. Food was flavorful. Dessert delish "

  • "We went to Tavolo at Glen Sanders Mansion because of the Price Fix Menu for Mazzone's Restaurant week. The food was superb as always and so was the service. It was a nice way to celebrate my raise at work."

  • "We went here for our 43rd Anniversary Celebration and had a wonderful time. The fresh made mozzarella - at the table, was wonderful and very filling. We both had the veal chops - prepared different ways and they were amazing. Service is very attentive and we are always happy to go back here for special occasions."

  • "We enjoyed this dining experience! From the bread served, to the mozzarella "made" at the table, to the entrees and desserts, everything was delightful! Very nice staff--efficient and pleasant!"

  • "We were not made aware of the fact that on Sunday nights, dinner is served in a different room, more of a bar-pub atmosphere."

  • "Two years ago, my wife and I married at 677 Prime. It was amazing - not just the food, but the attention to detail behind it, the service, the professionalism. Since then we've had repeat meals at Prime. We are big fans of the meals we've had at Apertivo and Tala. We go there to experience fine dining, great service and because we're foodies who love a great meal. The mozzarella could not be prepared table-side but we gave it a shot anyway. It was bland for a small plate. I ordered the Prime rib medium-rare and it came out medium-well. They had a new one out in ten minutes and comped our dessert. I get a misread ticket - it happens - and they did their best to fix it...but Tavolo did not stand out to us on our anniversary."

  • "I brought a friend there for her first time dining there. The brunch was delicious as usual. I was somewhat surprised that didn't keep up with refilling some items as it wasn't busy. The bagel tray was empty at one point and the dessert table seemed sparse in comparison to prior visits. I love their hot veggie mix - usually has whole, skinny baby carrots with asparagus or green beans. This time, when I went back for 2nds, carrots were regular carrots shaved to look smaller and were harder than I like. That said, everything that I ate was delicious. The bread pudding (different flavor every time we go) was Snickerdoodle and it was the best one I've had there so far. The omelet station chef was very friendly (he made the bread pudding)"

  • "We loved the experience of our waiter making fresh mozzarella from the curds right at our table. We enjoyed that woth delicious grilled asparagus. The main courses were also quite flavorful."

  • "A colleague and I had dinner at Angelo's during restaurant week. The specials were excellent...perfect size portions and very nice variety. I had a cannellini bean appetizer with pancetta and a brisket entree. The Sharecropper Cabernet was as nice pairing. The dessert was a small portion of creamy banana pudding. I also had an espresso that was flavorful and hot. My colleague likewise was pleased with his pasta."

  • "I took my girlfriend here for a dinner date. The food was excellent, slightly pricey but that was expected. The atmosphere was nice and the service was very good. The only complaint we had was the mixed drink list. My girlfriend ordered the apple mojito which wasn't exactly what she expected taste wise compared to other mojitos. I order a mai tai which wasn't on the drink list but they said they could make it. It didn't have the taste I was expecting compared to other restaurants that serve mai tai's. Overall, the food and service were good though."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our first year wedding anniversary at Angelo's Tavolo. Overall the experience was wonderful. We booked our reservations online (I thought that was very convenient!) and we were seated right away. The ambience was romantic and very relaxing. The staff were very friendly and they took their time to explain everything to us! They also made wonderful suggestions! Our waiter was great!!! Both my husband and I thought our waiter was outstanding and had a wonderful outgoing personality. The food seemed to come out at the perfect time! We did not feel rushed nor did we have to wait long. Food was very delicious! My only regret is not getting dessert! Next time I will get it to go for later. I highly recommend!"

  • "Visited Tavolo after a matinee at Proctor's. Thought the service and attention throughout our stay was attentive without being intrusive. Server Emma was very professional. Food was great! From the bread presentation to the dessert the meal was flawless. Really appreciated the spacing of the tables. You could have a conversation easily with your tablemates. Not inexpensive but certainly worth it!"

  • "Four of us visited this restaurant on New Year's Eve. We were all pleasantly surprised that their menu was not limited like some restaurants do on this special day. Wine list was excellent! The complimentary appetizer was delicious! Our meals were superb. And we still managed to find some room for dessert - a real special treat! The special was pistachio gelato which my husband ordered. My friend and I ordered the coconut cream pie - large enough to share. We managed to eat everything. The highlight of the night was our waiter, Justin. He was attentive, efficient, professional - and fun. Thank you again, Justin. We definitely recommend Tavolo for that special occasion."

  • "My wife and I held our wedding reception six years ago at the Glen Sanders Mansion. The Glen Sanders Mansion provides a ideal setting to celebrate great times with family and friends. The staff at the mansion are always so pleasant. Since our reception my wife and I have returned several times to the mansion to enjoy the Angelo's Tavolo restaurant and have always had great experiences. The great food and service is always 5 stars."

  • "My husband and I have been raving about this restaurant to anyone who will listen. We met friends who we only see once or twice a year, and we were able to truly enjoy our visit because of the impeccable service. The waiter was knowledgeable about the food and wine, and also knew how to provide good service without being intrusive. Regarding the food, each of had something different, and each of us was very impressed with the meal. The snapper was cooked perfectly and the creamed spinach was not too heavy. The pork chop, steak and swordfish were also given top ratings. I really loved the fresh mozzarella which was prepared tableside. The wine list was extensive and versatile in that we were able to find a good wine for an afforable price."

  • "We were a party of 6 for my mom's birthday. Our server was very nice and prompt. Refilled our drinks without having to ask-love that! Food: Equal choices of breakfast and lunch options-hot and cold. very good quality food. Lunch had a seafood paella, eggplant parm, Saratoga dough boys and lots more... dessert selection great: bready sweets, cannoli, pies, assorted mousses. only suggestion would be to have the kitchen chef make the scrambled eggs. at that time, the omelet chef was also responsible for the scrambled eggs on the buffet, so there weren't any scrambled eggs avail bc so many people were asking for omelets. and they were asking for omelets bc there were no scrambled eggs! vicious cycle, lol."
