Very disapointing... Way too
expensive for the quality of the food and for the quality of the space. it's like eating in a hotel lobby. They charge $30 for a steak (I mean the meat alone) and then they charge you separately for what goes with it: $8 for brussel sprouts for example, $8 for fries, $5 dollars for an assortment of steak sauces. Then the real disapointment: My daughter's sirloin smelled like you just took the meat from the animals guts. I do not know if the meat went bad or if it was mixed with other parts of the animal... Explaining why the meat smelled the way it did would have been really nice. Not saying anything about it was the worst part. Bottom line, I am not going back there."

We had a group of 11, and had a
private room, with a fireplace, so the setting was nice, and the service great. It is a bit pricey but the food is very good, maybe not excellent for the cost. I have experience with both high and low end restaurants living in NYC (and New Orleans), so I may be "spoiled". You can get a good idea of costs, and entrees by looking at the menu. Decent wine list, although not a lot by the glass, so-so beer choices."

We had a fabulous dining
experience at Angelos PrimeBar in Clifton Park The food was prepared beautifully . Everything was expertly seasoned and delicious. The ambience is ok, you definitely know you are in a hotel restaurant. But the food makes up for the lack of atmosphere. We will return!"

Our first visit was for
Valentine's Day dinner. I have no complaints. The food was cooked to perfection. Great quantities. We left satisfied but not engorged. My husband and i ordered the pork Saratoga chips which reminded me of Carnitas nachos, a kick, and tons of pork. We both ordered steaks, again cooked perfectly to our liking. The Sides were interesting and yummy! Our server Christopher i believe, was informative, friendly and honest. Perfect service. Considering how they gave us romance on Valentine s day, we're already scheduling our next date night."

Nice dinner on Valentines Day..
Both the service and food were good. A bit pricey but worth it."

last time. We missed the butter on
the salt slab, but the $1.00 per oyster special was superb. We made a meal out of appetizers and salad and it was very satisfying, especially for low-carb types. (Even though it was impossible to resist at least a taste of the rosemary olive bread and the salted bread sticks.) It was a bitter cold night and the selection of soup other than the ubiquitous (and cliche) French Onion Soup was non-existent. Attentive and well-trained wait staff. The furnishings are very modern and nicely done. Just make sure you don't look out the windows, because your view is the Hannaford Shopping plaza across the street. Perhaps removing the windows and replacing them with a mural? Clifton Park is strip mall blight."

My wife and I recently dined here
before attending a show at Proctor's in Schenectady. Although the menu is limited, the quality and presentation of the food and service was consistent with the high quality found at all of Angelo's restaurants. My wife pronounced the scallops to be among the best that she had ever had. Negatives: Because the restaurant is located in the lobby of a Holiday Inn Express, the lighting is extremely poor and there was no place to check a coat (there was an unattended portable coat rack placed in the hotel lobby, but nearly all patrons appropriately chose to bypass that option and hung their winter coats on the back of their chairs)."

This was a disappointing dinner
for,my husband & I. The ambiance was less than pleasing and the food, from start to finish was mediocre. I would not suggest this restaurant to any of my friends."

My wife and I took a friend here
and had a wonderful time. The service is amazing and the food delicious. While almost full the resturant is still quiet enough to be able to enjoy a nice conversation. We go here several times a year and always have a great experience!!!"

Having experienced most of
Mazzones restaurant's, I would have expected the menu to have a bigger entrée selection.... Only disappointment."

Angelo brings a great prime type
choice to CP. Food is great as I have come to expect, but prices are more what you would expect in CP. You can go for the steak, which I have and is good, but the casual fare hit the spots. Service is outstanding, every time I have been there it has been above average. For same price (maybe a little more) than a standard CP chain you can have 100X better food better service. Really only "negative" is that its in the lobby of a hotel, but really they have done a good job of making it feel separate, not when you walk in, but certainly when you sit down, and the bar really feels separate. Will go again and recommend it."

Very overpriced!!! At least they
could include a salad with the tiny steak portion! Service was fine but a tad rushed. Staff was friendly but dinner was definitely not worth the price."

We love Mazzone restaurants:
Aperitivo and Tala. Went to Prime for son's 27th b-day and to check out the venue for his upcoming wedding. He, his fiancee, 20 y.o brother and us, parents, all had a great time. We mostly stuck to small plates, no steaks (but, i am am sure, they are awesome). I could not help but sample the French dishes: fois gras, onion soup, creme brulee - all were outstanding. "Kids" raved about specialty burgers and desserts. The bread basket was fantastic. Our very friendly waitress Sheena fit like a glove, since my kids and she found common grounds as hard core Phish-heads. I would have liked more of a choice of non-alcoholic drinks (they had regular ice tea and lemonade) - flavored teas, "virgin" fruity cocktails etc."

4 different Main Entrees were all
very good. Everything is A la Carte and the sides were a bit pricey and only ok, also sides not hot. My Filet was very good but need to go back to try the Brick Chicken that my friend said was excellent."

Very solid restaurant but a step
below Angelo's other places (i.e. 677 Prime, Prime at Saratoga National)."

While we enjoyed our food, drink
and atmosphere, the constant return of our server and a busboy to ask if they could remove items from our small table for two, became very annoying after the third time. Easily, six or more intrusions is well beyond the norm. If management is encouraging this, they should reconsider."
Dined on 12/21/2013
There on a very quiet night. Food
was Great - as anticipated from any Mazzone restaurant."

Was unable to get a drink at the
bar while waiting for our table and there were 2 bartenders on and not that busy.. Had to wait 10 min each time we ordered a drink at the table.. Menu was bleak and overall the food was not great .. Very disappointing for what we paid..."

Angelo's Prime Bar & Grill is a
great alternative to the multitude of chain restaurants in the Clifton Park Center area. There isn't necessarily anything on the menu that is going to blow you away (except for the 7 hour cherry pepper pork that is carried over from the 677 Prime menu), but you are going to get above average food at reasonably fair prices. The decor is comfortable and you might never realize you were eating in a hotel lobby if you didn't have to walk past the check-in desk to get to the restaurant. Poor beer list, expensive cocktails, nice wine by the glass selection. Not the best in the area, but you can do far worse."

I was looking for something on the
fancy side but not too fancy, too the point of feeling the need to really dress up. It was nice and quiet and pretty laid back but fancy at the same time"

Very nice all around - attentive
staff, delicious steaks, fresh local food."

My wife and I invited another
couple to join us for dinner at Prime Bar and Grill. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. Our server was attentive. The Executive Chef came to our table for a brief visit. The tomato consomme was out of this world. Our friends were delighted with the food and service and we were proud to have shared this neighborhood gem with them."

Was pleasantly surprised that
Prime in Clifton Park had very good food (expected) at lower prices than downtown location (not expected). Service was very good, very profesisonal but still friendly and accomodating. Food was very good and we will go back, particularly for the fresh oysters! Big improvement to Clifton Park dining scene. Area certainly needed a more upscale, high quality restaurant/steak house."
Dined on 9/21/2013
Totally average in every way
except pricing. Pricing was way above average and it's not worth it. Mazzone has really been declining in the last couple of years. Too bad."

If you have a small group of 6 to
10 people, call ahead and ask to be seated in the Library. It's a great room separated from the main dining area. Everyone at our table loved the salmon dish or the seared scallops. Friendly and efficient service."

This was our second visit to
Angelo's Prime and it was as good as our first visit. The food is excellent and the service is superb. Our daughters have allergies to dairy, egg and peanut. This was not an issue for them. They were very accommodating, including the bread, which is rare with most restaurants."

When I go into a restaurant called
"Prime Bar and Grille" I expect to see a number of quality steaks on the menu; not just three; and one of them darned well better be a Prime Rib! I also don't expect that the only reason i can order a baked potato with my steak is because there just happens to be a big catering function. What kind of steak place does not have baked potatoes as a MINIMUM in their selection? I am in New York... right? Not Abu Dhabi!!! OH!... Sorry... My mistake... You get baked potatoes with your steak in Abu Dhabi..... Let me think of another place where you don't.... Hmmmmm.... Johannesburg? No.... Capetown??? No.... Acra? No..... Manama???? No..... Brussels? Nah!!!"
Dined on 9/13/2013
We requested the filet steak as
well as the 2 pork tenderloins to be medium rare, but they were all cooked medium to well. The steak choices should come with a side like the other entrees. It's too expensive to pay $30 plus $8 for a side. The desserts were great. Chocolate cake, coconut cake and creme brûlée. Menu choices are limited. There should be more wild caught fish choices, prepared in a low-cal recipe. The mystery basket ingredients are too strange to order."

Food was very good excellent
service Menu limited but that's ok with me. looking for to a lunch there sometime, menu looked good and reasonable."

We love The Prime Bar and Grill!
It is really wonderful having a true gourmet restaurant right in out home town. The service is outstanding, the food is superb (I highly recommend the seared scallop entree, to die for!) and the ambiance is relaxing and pleasant."

Thanks for the good food & great
service! We have a very good time at Prime B&G. I'm sure that we'll return to dine again in the near future -- thank you! :)"
Dined on 8/18/2013
The drink was good and the service
was fine but the main course was very disappointing. My husband had a filet which was just a hunk of meet with no special dressing or sauce. I had the skirt steak special and the steak was like cutting rubber. The dessert and coffee were good. The price was way to high for the food served."
Dined on 8/8/2013
We loved Angelo's Prime! Waitstaff
was very efficient and friendly. Enjoyed a meats and cheese platter for appetizer with fig jam that was delicious. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Unbelievably large and yummy desserts (coconut pie and chocolate cake). Had a lovely evening."

- and agreed we would definitely return. Relaxing, casual, very good food - what more would you want?"

$24 Prix Fixe - Sunday to Thursday
- excellent value. Three courses plus wine. Food well prepared and very good."

A great addition to Clifton Park.
The food and service are excellent. This is the fourth time we dined here and the restaurant continues to improve. The service staff is exceptionally well trained and the menu continues to improve. We both had the house salad, one entree was the salmon which was cooked perfectly and the other entree was the brickhouse chicken. The chicken was flavorfull and delicious. A selection of breadsticks and bread was served with the meal. The wines by the glass are interesting and reasonably priced."

Ok appetizer good the rest just
fair boss burger came Luke warm to table didn't care for BBQ sauce on burger and put all over onion rings made them soggy."

We are a quiet older couple would
wanted to celebrate our anniversary in a different atmosphere. Although we found the prices higher than our usual dining experiences, it was well worth the few extra dollars. The staff was very attentive but not at all intrusive. They were most accommodating to our needs. Angelo Mazzone certainly knows how to pick his chefs and wait staff. The ambiance was terrrific: smooth jazz that was loud enough to hear but soft enough for us to carry on a conversation. Delightful! We came early to a mostly emply restaurant, lingered leisurely, and departed to a restaurant buzzing with happy energy. The food was exquisitely prepared and presented and the wines were delicious! No dessert: too full! Will return!"
