Angelo's Prime Bar & GrillSecond visit to this delightfulSecond visit to this delightful dining experience, service excellent, friendly, prompt and professional. I would recommend to anyone. Less formal than Saratoga Prime, 677 is for very special occasions, this is for informal or formal dining. will return, I was very surprised therefore to have an over cooked Delmonico, the wait staff realized this immediately and I was offered to have it replaced, my Wife and Son had already began eating there delicious Brick Chicken so I declined. again highly reccomended6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMMonday Night AdventureFood was fantastic; service was excellent; the crowd total was low, so we had "Plenty of Room"!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the prix fixe menu:We had the prix fixe menu: cod with bok Choy. The cod was seasoned a little too heavily, but cooked to perfection. The bok Choy and it's sauce was wonderful. The peach cobbler had way too much topping and not enough peaches. Tasted kind of like a Drake's cake.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the prix fixe menuWe had the prix fixe menu which is an excellent value. Our cod was cooked to perfection, but a little too heavily seasoned. The accompanying bok Choy and sauce were wonderful. The peach cobbler had too much topping and not enough peaches. Our server was very good and the assistant manager came over to our table to get feedback about our meal.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently GreatThis was my 3rd visit, and each time the food and service have been terrific. I tried the calamari for the first time, and it was the best calamari I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of breading. And the dipping sauce brought the perfect amount of heat.
The other highlight is the chocolate cake. The menu describes it as "big, big", but that falls about 3 "bigs" short of accurate. It's huge and, by far, the best chocolate cake I've had in a restaurant.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time there. The foodFirst time there. The food was very good, the service a little slow and it was a very slow night there. But regardless, the food was very good. The atmosphere is a little odd since its in the lobby of the hotel. but it was still nice.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything from the bread,Everything from the bread, the salad, to the entrées was delicious. We had the squash ravioli with the house salads. The crème brulée for desert was perfect. Our server was friendly and efficient.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a lovely dining experience. We had a lovely dining experience. Excellent!4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA delightful meal served byA delightful meal served by a professional server in a romantic setting. Perfect for a date.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAlthough a little pricey,Although a little pricey, you can count on having a great meal.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waiter was excellent,Our waiter was excellent, patient and knew the menu and explained the dishes well. However, the cauliflower puree was cool under the scallops; the pork shank was tender and was a large portion, however, as consumers who do not like salt, we found that both the scallops and pork shank were salty (most likely from the marinade- as they were both tender). Cut back on the salt please.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMA Cut AboveMy husband and I both had the salmon. It was perfectly done (medium) and a portion size that was reasonable- not over-sized. The carrot puree that it rested on was delicious with the quinoa and currents. The tzatziki on top was delicious. The salad was mixed baby greens. I had creme brulee topped with two raspberries as a dessert- also very good. The coffee was weaker than I like, but what I expect in U.S. restaurants. We are not wine experts, but very much liked the buttery smooth oaky chardonnay we selected. Our companions liked their pork shank and lamb chops.
Angelo's Prime is a cut above any other Clifton Park restaurants with the possible exception of Antipasto's if you are vegetarian.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMM in CPWonderful addition to Clifton Park. Fresh, carefully prepared food. On the pricey side and don't expect large portions. Make reservations by phone--online reservation showed no seating 6-7, which was incorrect.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really liked our food.We really liked our food. we have visited other restaurants during special pricing restaurant week but Angleo's was operating smoothly even with large groups in their other rooms and a busy weeknight crowd. Thought our table was a little close to our neighbors. It was not like we could hear their conversation but the wait staff had little room to maneuver between our tables.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first visit and we willOur first visit and we will return. Had a special anniversary dinner, staff was very nice and making the reservation through open table was easy.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner with friends. We were a party of 4. Made reservations and our table was ready even 10 mins. earlier.
