  • "If you want an authentic Italian experience ,this is the place to go. The food was superb ,tried eggplant appetizer and veal marsala. The staff was charming and attentive. The prices were very reasonable for the area. Great experience. "

  • "I order here all the time on seamless and the food is pretty good, went with a few friends on Friday night and the place was empty. Can't really complain, I think I expected a top of the line Italian restaurant. This is probably great for lunch or a low key dinner, but not special occasions."

  • "We LOVED our pizza and salad at Angelo Bellini. Our waiter was most helpful with the wine selection. Perfect salad size to share and our pizza was one of the best we've had. We will certainly come back on our next trip to NYC!"

  • "We were surprised at the lack of people, there were just 6 (including us) when we started and just 3 when we left. The takeout business was booming - I was looking forward to a nice dinner with my wife and was very disappointed."

  • "I enjoy lunch and dinner here. The food is great, and the service is warm and welcoming - and very efficient. The portions are generous, and all the items are flavorful, well prepared and attractively presented. Mira has taken care of us many times. She always makes us feel at home. Though everyone here is great. You'd never know from walking by that there are lovely brick walls, a beautiful wood bar, and wood burning oven inside! Give Angelo Bellini a try. You won't be disappointed!"

  • "I come here every week with my girlfriend and we always enjoy everything on this restaurant. The service is always great, the food portions are perfect and the price is unbeatable for the quality of food. We found it couple months ago by looking at reviews and since then we always go there. I wanted to share our great experience and definitely recommend it to other people."

  • "The wait staff was fantastic, the pasta was cooked perfectly but the sauce was a little bland. The tiramisu was very good."

  • "We have been checking out local places since moving to NYC two months ago. We are so glad we discovered Angelo Bellini. It is one of the places that just feels right. The Caesar Salad was well mixed, crisp and large enough to share. The entrees were ample such that we each took some home with us. The waitress's wine suggestion was excellent and moderately pried. The staff was cheerful and pleasant. It was just an overall great experience. It could be a little more romantic if they dimmed the lights a bit."

  • "Great food and service with reasonable prices. So nice to find a new neighborhood spot."

  • "This a small neighborhood restaurant with excellent food. The menu is traditional Italian with many options (fried calamari, chicken parm, etc.) so it's good for families or groups that have to satisfy different tastes. The calamari and Caesar salad were excellent, although some of the main dishes seemed slightly overcooked. The ambience was nice and quiet with soft music playing. Our only complaint was that on a cold night, the front door didn't stay closed (and people hold it open after entering) and a cold draft was coming in. We were glad we weren't in the front of the restaurant or we would have had to eat dinner with coats on. I would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a traditional Italian menu in a cozy setting."

  • "I found this restaurant on Open Table and wanted to make a reservation somewhere since we were going into the City during a busy holiday week. This place had good reviews and wasn't far from where we were sightseeing so figured I would give it a try with my 3 kids, husband and sister. We had a reservation for 7 but were done earlier than expected so decided to head over to the restaurant at 5:30 to see if there was anyway we could sit down sooner and they accommodated us no problem. The food was GREAT and really reasonably priced for the area. The ambience was great and very relaxing, they didn't rush us out at all. It would be good for a group of adults or a family! Definitely worth a try!"

  • "After reading reviews on Open Table we decided to try this neighborhood restaurant based on its recommendation for pizza, of which we were surprisingly disappointed. I would not recommend the pizza to anyone."

  • "I work a block away and discovered this wonderful neighborhood restaurant a couple of months ago when a business colleague booked it for our lunch meeting. I have been back for lunch almost every other week since then. They have a great menu - both for lunch and the regular menu. It is quiet, easy to get a table, reasonably priced and very nice service. Best and most important of all - the food is terrific. I have had salads, pasta, pizza and several main courses over the times I've been there and the food is consistently delicious. It is a great place - whether for business or social meetings."

  • "This restaurant really did a nice job with the service to our large group of people (including sleeping babies in strollers). It is not the largest place but we did feel like we were in our own world and important to them."

  • "We ate there as a group of 16- two groups of 8 in a row. The food was average and came out piece meal over a 10 minute period. The restaurant has a nice feel to it and is good for large groups just looking to have a fun meal and not too worried about having great food."

  • "I live in the neighborhood and have walked by this restaurant for some time. Thought it was more of a pizza place, so I wasn't in a rush to go there. Finally tried it and loved it - what a pleasant surprise! The food is excellent, the wait staff is terrific, the menu is very diverse to make everyone happy and it has a very nice ambiance. It also has a good wine list for a small restaurant, and they even offered tastings of wines to help us decide which wine to pick. The Bellini salad was delicious - it was huge and full of fresh veggies - perfect for 2 or even 3 people. The rigatoni bolognese was also excellent, and the bread is amazing from the pizza oven. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes and the pizza!"

  • "I guess the number of stars does have as much to do with price, as with quality, though even so, I'm a bit surprised. A very ordinary restaurant; I live in Jackson Heights, and I could have done better staying home--and that's not saying much. The food was very ordinary, well cooked enough, but nothing to think about repeating. And the glasses of wine we had brought the total to about $65 per person; not exactly a huge bargain. It was quiet because--while we came very early--when it was very empty, we stayed for two hours (talking, not eating) it never filled up. All in all, a disappointment."

  • "Eight of us from Florida, Baltimore, and New York wanted a spot to meet in midtown that wasn't too expensive and would have good food. This spot fit the bill. Our table was ready and our server was delightful. We were not rushed and the food was piping hot. Favorite choices included eggplant parmesan and veal dishes. My shrimp was a bit dry and over cooked, but they made an accommodation and served it over sautéed spinach instead of pasta which was delicious. The wine list and cocktails are old school - no craft cocktails here. Having said that, our choices were fine. Calamari was very tasty. Salad was HUGE - we shared it with at least 4 people. Very good. The prices are very reasonable for any city let alone NYC. Great place!"

  • "This was within walking distance to our hotel (the Marriott Courtyard). It was a Sunday night of Columbus Day weekend. The place was adorable , small and had linens on the tables. Things to note: choose beer or wine - the mixed drinks were awful - but I the waiters were mixing drinks. I had an eggplant calzone (in Rhode Island that would be a dough pocket, layered with breaded eggplant and baked). This calzone was flled with ricotta and diced eggplant. It wasn't horrible just not what I expected. My son had the Chicken Marsala, my mother had veal parm, and my husband had chicken francaise or picotta. All were pleased. I would defintely go back and order pizza, salad and a glass wine."

  • "One of the best neighborhood gem! We had the salmon and veal marsala. One word amazing! The salmon comes with vegetables and salad in a great lemon sauce and veal in creamy mushroom marsala sauce. Not to mention also the great service of the truly, friendly, honest staff. I highly recommend this place."

  • "I don't like writing review but i just had to do it for this restaurant. I was very pleased with everything, from the ambient to the food, i particularly liked how the noise was very nice and kind of like cozy along with the ambient. All in all, a restaurant that should market itself more. Miei amici, tutto era perfetto."
