Anepalco's CafeFantastic Food!We went there with a large group for Father's Day. The food was innovative & delicious! There were a number of vegetarian dishes fir some of our group and they were raving about the flavor of an omelet with a lovely basil flavor. I had the huevos divorciados which was like enchiladas with a fried egg on top with two sauces that were absolutely wonderful. The service was a bit slow and it was loud inside the restaurant (they recommended we sit outside on the patio, but there was quite a bit of traffic noise out there), but it was probably more crowded than usual. We'll definitely be back to try some of their other dishes.6/16/2013 12:00:00 AMInteresting mixThe menu is an interesting mix of French and Mexican cuisines. The Chiliquiles are well known as being one of the top attractions here.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and serviceVery creative menu options. Food is prepared well and consistent.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial food for a special occasionAll three of us enjoyed our recent Mothers Day visit to Anepalco's Cafe. The food was delicious, different, and the presentation was lovely. The atmosphere was vibrant and the staff were all very attentive. We will be back!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAnepalcos on Mother's DayI enjoyed our day at Anepalco's very much. The only complaint was that they did not serve the dishes they known for, i.e. chilaquiles. What I mean is that they have a separate lunch and dinner menu. I've been to Anepalco's many times and I really wanted to have the chilaquiles but felt a little blind-sided because of the menu change. If I would've known this, I would have made my reservation for earlier in the day. I know chilaquiles are a breakfast/lunch item, but I'm a loyal paying customer and I expect certain "staple" items to be available all day long.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst visit on recommendationFirst visit on recommendation of daughter. Enjoyed the food. Service generally good, but time for food seemed a little longer than expected. Great flavors, using many different types of chiles and spices. This isn't your usual Mexican food! The Shrimp appetizer was great, as was the Tuna appetizer. I had the scallops, which were perfectly cooked. Caesar Salad presentation is really nice, with each leaf of lettuce layered on top of the other with dressing between the layers. The Santo Tomas Savignon Blanc paired well with most of the items.
I will definitely be back, as there are more things I want to try!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat FoodFirst time at this location. Love the food and service. It was a great, affordable place for a group for Easter Brunch.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely restaurant, nice ambianceI have heard a lot about Anepalco. I tried it with a friend for lunch.
