I found Anella late in the game on a Saturday night when my husband and I were betwixt about where to go so I went on Open Table and looked for something new (to me) and different that might be available - boy am I glad I did. The restaurant has a down home warmth and a reasonably priced, deliciously prepared menu that offers a broad range of options for diners. Add to that a friendly, energetic staff with a wonderful sense of humor and you have a great place to dine! I've already booked my next dinner there.

Simply delicious food. The buccatini carbonara was absolutely heavenly (and the heavy cream didn't keep me from flying high.) but the free favorite is the amazing bread, baked in a clay flowerpot. Delicious, be careful not to eat too much because whatever food you order will be gone in 60 seconds.

  • A Must See!

I was browsing the internet for restaurants to make a reservation for my birthday. I wanted to keep it in Greenpoint (my neighborhood) and came across Anella. I have since been back and have been greeted immediately and warmly upon walking in. The staff gives you a finer dining experience (i.e. the host carrying my parties bar drinks on a tray while taking us to our table). It is a small but well layed out space so you are bound to exchange at least a hello with everyone from the host, multiple servers, the manager, busser, and the chefs. The food is clearly given a lot of attention and was delicious and thoughtful. The wine and cocktail list has something for everyone. I recommend it as a place for a special event or a nieghborhood go to.

Really really lovely...I brought some folks living in LIC and we are all hoping we can convince this smart restaurant group to join us across the Pulaski with another venue!
