  • "Another business lunch with someone who had never been to Andrei's......Made alot of positive points...A must for a business lunch"

  • "Everyone enjoyed their lunch. The lamb burger was delicious."

  • "Great for casual lunch with nice ambiance. Food was ok, I ordered shrimp salad and the shrimp was too hard. Music was too loud so not so good if you are having a business conversation."

  • "Celebrated my B-day with the family at Andrei's and loved the atmosphere and food. Happy Hour prices are a steal so you must begin your evening before 7pm."

  • "I love eating out of the ordinary foods. So tired of chicken and beef. I was pleasantly surprised to see Antelope Shank on the menu and promptly ordered it. It was very flavorful. Very good - a bit salty for me, but that is probably just me, as I do not eat a lot of salt and rarely use it when cooking at home. Overall the dish was great.!!!!"

  • "Food was good with nice presentation, service was super, room was chilly on chilly evening with windows open. Brrrr"

  • "Decided to re-visit Andrei's during Restaurant Week, and was sooo glad I did. We had the lunch menu prix fixe and loved every morsel. The macarons from Pastry Chef Elyssa were a perfect ending to the meal. Chef Yves' Chili as a soup starter was to die for."

  • "I attended a networking event held in the bar area and stayed for dinner afterwards. Service was great in both places. The bar area was "busy" but not so crowded that you could not move around or carry on a conversation. Appetizers in the bar area were very good. Transitioning to dinner was easy as our table was ready and close to the bar area (it's not a big restaurant). It was "Res-taurant Week” so all but one of our party of seven had the 3-course for $30 dinner. Fabulous! Parking was easy as well - you can self-park in the parking structure behind the office towers. There's no attendant after 7 pm. Or you can valet for $3 at the restaurant. Great food, great loca-tion (close to the freeway), great evening!"

  • "I took 10 girlfriends here for restaurant week and they all loved it... I knew Andrei from college and so it's a sentimental place for me! The food was delicious... I had boar chili, half of the mahi mahi & half of the BLAT sandwich - yum!!!!!!"

  • "The restaurant had a nice lounge feel - dim, somewhat noisy when there are large parties but the atmosphere is still cozy enough to take a date. I thought my grilled trout was delicious however they can work on the risotto. the starter soup i had - mushroom and truffle also needs some work - it wasn't very tasty. The service on the other hand was wonderful, our waiter was super friendly and he was genuinely nice and helpful. Overall, the food might be a little overpriced and in my opinion needed some improvements but all other aspect of the restaurant was nice."

  • "I have to tell you - Andrei's is amazing. Some "foodie friends" heard about it from several oftheir friends. My husband works in Irvine and had not even heard of it. We went once for dinner and loved it. I have a friend who was leaving our company after 8 years and she is very particular about where she dines. She does Purchasing of food and knows good quality. She noticed all the details from the napkins to the wood floors to the presentation of the food, etc. She was very impressed and even said she would be bringing her husband back. My broker is from Dallas and when he comes in to town, I am bringing him to Andrei's!"

  • "Our first visit to Andrei's to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was perfect. We had reservations and were seated right away. Waiters and bussers were always passing and attending to us. They gave us great recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious and unique. Portions were perfect. Service was OUTSTANDING. Desserts by Elyssa ... STUNNING!"

  • "Decent food, what I expected for the prices. Can't really complain other than that it was too much food. The macarons were good, but still can be improved. Chili was great and chicken was great as well. Enjoyed the apple bourbon. Apples were too strong with alcohol, I think they should be simmered a little less. Great restaurant, would go again."

  • "Husband and I went to Andrei's for Restaurant Week. The food was great; we had the beef short ribs and the polenta lasagna. Desserts were pretty good (Creme brûlée and carrot cake). We thoroughly enjoyed both the service and the ambience; both were amazing! Our waiter was top-notch, very professional, sincere, efficient, and well-spoken. Other waitstaff waited on us also, and all were amazing. The ambiance was upscale and romantic: the noise level was just right. My husband and I will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to others."

  • "My husband and I went for lunch and had a wonderful meal, priced well, and served in beautiful surroundings. So why isn't this place busier? We shared portabello mushroom fries, which are fabulous and then each had the Moroccan wrap sandwich. The sandwich is spicy and delicious and served with a side. There are so many dishes on the menu that appeal to me. The table are further apart than in most restaurants and they are more than willing to rearrange them to suit the needs of your group. I wonder if people don't realize how easy it is to park. There's a garage, where it's easy to find a spot, and they validate. I This place is a find, especially when it's so difficult to find a non-chain restaurant, and I worry that they won't last."

  • "Great night at Andrei's! We had a reservation and were seated promptly (although at a booth right next to the kitchen - the reason for 4 star rating instead of 5). Waitress was personable and attentive, and their wine special was fantastic. Food was delicious and the beignets for dessert were to die for. I felt slightly underdressed in boots, jeans, and a blouse. Overall, great experience!"

  • "I have been to Andrei's two times before, once for brunch and an early dinner on the weekend. This time it was a Thursday and the bar was packed! Lots of young professionals all seeming to be having a great time. Their extended happy hour until 7 p.m. is a good deal."

  • "I keep coming here and getting 2 of my faves: beets salad and warm octopus salad. However , I like to try some of their new dishes too. They have always something different and unique. The ambience is relaxing and the service very attentive"

  • "Food menu was limited, most dishes didn't appeal to me. We got some gnocchi and steak. Service was slow and amateurish. Loved the ambience and romantic setting."

  • "Although the food and dining experience was very good, we were a little disappointed that the regular menu was not available. The choices were made from a Valentines Menu, which was good, but more limited. I totally understand why this was done as it was a very busy night, but i don't recall having been told that this was the case by the restaurant. The Valentines Day menu was $65 per person!"

  • "My husband suggested coming here after seeing they have vegan-friendly dishes. Although we came for dinner, they were very accommodating and let me order the vegan burger off the lunch menu (with lettuce instead of bun for a gluten free option). The vegan dish on the dinner menu (not GF) looked really good too though. My husband had a hamburger that he enjoyed. Only complaint was that the onions (they must have been sauteed or caramelized) made the bun soggy. We would go back."

  • "Valentine's Day dinner was our second visit to Andrei's and it did no disappoint. Atchara was a wonderful server. The drinks were generous and well-crafted. Salads were fresh and tasty. Entree's were done to a turn, beautifully presented and dessert was spectacular. Did I mention we liked it? Recommend this place highly."

  • "Found Andrei's through a recommendation on Open Table. The menu was more than enough to draw us in. The story about the restaurant, as related by our waiter, was very compelling. We'd never heard of a not-for-profit restaurant. The food was outstanding and the service superb. We will definitely go again."

  • "Took my lady here for Valentines Day. Everything went well I guess. There were times where we had to wait a while for our courses to come out. Not that big of a deal but near the end after paying for the meal, the server asked why I didn't include tip on the receipt multiple times and I had to explain to him that I was going to leave it in cash. First time that ever happened and found it slightly rude. After getting home I noticed that I was charged TWICE for my meal... Outing was okay, nice ambiance but poor customer service at times.."

  • "A friend recently introduced me and I LOVE this place! The food alone is worth making it a top spot, the people and philosophy around the business (sustainability, local purveyors and green thinking) makes you feel great about supporting this restaurant that clearly earned it by the quality of the food and service!"

  • "Food was outstanding as usual...Great server and the place was jumping at 6 pm"

  • "We tried the restaurant on a Friday night. Impressive building and decor - clean, tasteful, open. The restaurant was about half-full. We ordered a variety of items from the appetizer menu, and two main courses. Everything was OK, but none of the items was anything special. The ingredients were fresh, but somehow the flavor profiles weren't quite what I was hoping for - can cook with salt and pepper at home too... will probably not be back."

  • "This is a wonderful restaurant; extremely fresh and tasty food with great presentations. It is my new "go to" place for business and the service cannot be beat. I love the contemporary decor and the free valet parking (but of course, never forget to tip the valet) is a great addition. We'll definitely be considering having our corporate parties at Andreis and I look forward to going back with friends in non-business time as well."

  • "We met both the Executive Chef and the Pastry Chef, who were kind enough to introduce themselves and discuss the menu with us. The story about the restaurant is very interesting: all profits are donated to a foundation created in honor of the owners' son who died at a young age."

  • "We all ordered different entrées and my pork chop was overcooked and let wait staff know they were willing to re-do but came back and let us know that they could not cook the chop medium rare due to their restrictions, they should have told us when we ordered. The cop salad was very good, the chicken breast entrée was dry and not very tasty, the last entrée was short ribs, they were delicious. Overall a 50/50 experience."

  • "Four of us had dinner at Andrei's on a Saturday night. I had only been there for lunch previously and was surprised that it was pretty empty. We had the restaurant week dinner. My salad, entree (Joh Dory) and desert (salted caramel creme brulee) were all very good, but nothing special. The service was wonderful, however, and we definitely got the feeling that Andrei's wants to please. The dining room is beautiful, big with huge windows. I will return but it's not one of my top choices."
    Dined on 1/11/2014
  • "The place was very nice, the ambiance was great, and the service was excellent. The presentation of the food was great, however the food was pretty average. We did one of the Restaurant Week specials. The beet salad was disappointing, the green salad was much better. The JohnDory was pretty good the chichen was much more flavorful. The deserts looked great, but again they were just OK."

  • "We went there for New Year's Eve so it was a fixed menu for $65 each. I had the prime rib and it was tough as a piece of leather. I'll never go back."

  • "I have had great experiences here at lunch. Dinner is a whole different thing. We were informed they do not do specials at dinner, and there wasn't much on the menu that was appealing. Should have left then. Everything is supposed to be locally sourced, but where do you get antelope from in Irvine? The fish choices were trout and sole. Neither one my first choice. The trout, which my husband ordered, had a moroccan spice, and that is pretty much all you tasted. I had the sole, and I should have noticed it was crusted in potato and came with ... mashed potatoes! For dessert we ordered the salted caramel brûlée. It was very grainy and heavy, not silky and light as a good brûlée should be. And the top was soggy, not caramelized."

  • "My husband, daughter and I had lunch on Friday and it was a huge success. We loved what we ordered and the service was great. Things were slower than usual because it was a couple of days after Christmas. I've always loved the ambience with the big windows that can be opened on a nice day and the tables that are spaced farther apart than the norm. I had the Morroccan wrap, my daughter had the spiced shrimp salad and my husband had the Mediterranean Tasting and they were all delicious and served beautifully. While I usually don't eat chips, the homemade ones accompanying my sandwich were too good to pass up. My only regret is that the restaurant isn't open for lunch on Saturdays since it will be difficult to get my husband there again."

  • "The entrees were wonderful. I will definitely be back. Food is delivered daily to guarantee freshness. Also, check their calendar on their website because they offer free corkage nights a few days during the week. I highly recommend!"
