  • "We have visited Andrei's many times but found this evening to be a disappointment. The octopus salad used to be fantastic but is very bland and tasteless. The gnocchi was like mashed potatoes heaped in five mounds on the plate. The third member of the party had roasted chicken which he said was excellent. The drinks from the bar were incorrect, and the waiter even spilled a martini on one of us. The restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night. The experience for the money was not worth going to the restaurant. Sadly enough, we won't be returning as this was so disappointing."

I admit that I always get the same thing. I start with the portabello mushroom fries and love the Moroccan wrap. It's not the usual fare."

Our Server Colleen was outstanding, the hostess Christine, charming and the chef accommodated our food allergies and Colleen made sure to double check prior and was not a problem.   • "This was a great evening starting with the friendly valet. The hostess and waiter were friendly, accommedating and attentive. The menu which uses local produce and vendors was varied. The watermelon-heirloom tomato salad was tasty and presented beautifully. We had the sea bass (served with artichoke hearts, tomato, asparagus and a wonderful garlic sauce) was yummy, again presented beautifully. Their breads, rolls and raisin bread, were homemade tasty and served warm. It was a delightful evening and we can't wait to go back!!! :)"

  • "My family and I dined at Andrei's for Mother's Day Brunch, and it was a perfect experience. The restaurant is beautiful and sleek, the wait staff was very attentive, and the manager stopped by our table several times, and even offered my mother a different entree choice when she mentioned a note on her crab-cake eggs benedict. The Blood Orange Mimosas are a must-have, as well as any of their seafood options. My sisters and father had the French Toast, and they raved about it. Overall, a perfect dining experience that made for very fond memories this Mother's Day."

  • "I've been to Andrei's several times, including two dinners. This last time, the food was the best it's ever been, The place is beautiful and there are always many things on the menu I like, which is sometimes an issue since I don't eat beef or pork or anything creamy. Last night, I had pistachio-crusted halibut in a broth with clams and potatoes and it was delicious. I tasted my husband's sea bass and that was excellent too. We started out with portabello fries and shared a beautiful salad and loved our desert, which consisted of four little ice cream and sorbet cones. I just don't understand why this place is so dead at night. I wonder if people don't realize that the parking in the garage behind the restaurant is free."

  • "I love eating out of the ordinary foods. So tired of chicken and beef. I was pleasantly surprised to see Antelope Shank on the menu and promptly ordered it. It was very flavorful. Very good - a bit salty for me, but that is probably just me, as I do not eat a lot of salt and rarely use it when cooking at home. Overall the dish was great.!!!!"

  • "I attended a networking event held in the bar area and stayed for dinner afterwards. Service was great in both places. The bar area was "busy" but not so crowded that you could not move around or carry on a conversation. Appetizers in the bar area were very good. Transitioning to dinner was easy as our table was ready and close to the bar area (it's not a big restaurant). It was "Res-taurant Week” so all but one of our party of seven had the 3-course for $30 dinner. Fabulous! Parking was easy as well - you can self-park in the parking structure behind the office towers. There's no attendant after 7 pm. Or you can valet for $3 at the restaurant. Great food, great loca-tion (close to the freeway), great evening!"

  • "I have to tell you - Andrei's is amazing. Some "foodie friends" heard about it from several oftheir friends. My husband works in Irvine and had not even heard of it. We went once for dinner and loved it. I have a friend who was leaving our company after 8 years and she is very particular about where she dines. She does Purchasing of food and knows good quality. She noticed all the details from the napkins to the wood floors to the presentation of the food, etc. She was very impressed and even said she would be bringing her husband back. My broker is from Dallas and when he comes in to town, I am bringing him to Andrei's!"

  • "Husband and I went to Andrei's for Restaurant Week. The food was great; we had the beef short ribs and the polenta lasagna. Desserts were pretty good (Creme brûlée and carrot cake). We thoroughly enjoyed both the service and the ambience; both were amazing! Our waiter was top-notch, very professional, sincere, efficient, and well-spoken. Other waitstaff waited on us also, and all were amazing. The ambiance was upscale and romantic: the noise level was just right. My husband and I will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to others."

  • "The restaurant had a nice lounge feel - dim, somewhat noisy when there are large parties but the atmosphere is still cozy enough to take a date. I thought my grilled trout was delicious however they can work on the risotto. the starter soup i had - mushroom and truffle also needs some work - it wasn't very tasty. The service on the other hand was wonderful, our waiter was super friendly and he was genuinely nice and helpful. Overall, the food might be a little overpriced and in my opinion needed some improvements but all other aspect of the restaurant was nice."

Chili was great and chicken was great as well. Enjoyed the apple bourbon. Apples were too strong with alcohol, I think they should be simmered a little less. Great restaurant, would go again."

  • "My husband and I went for lunch and had a wonderful meal, priced well, and served in beautiful surroundings. So why isn't this place busier? We shared portabello mushroom fries, which are fabulous and then each had the Moroccan wrap sandwich. The sandwich is spicy and delicious and served with a side. There are so many dishes on the menu that appeal to me. The table are further apart than in most restaurants and they are more than willing to rearrange them to suit the needs of your group. I wonder if people don't realize how easy it is to park. There's a garage, where it's easy to find a spot, and they validate. I This place is a find, especially when it's so difficult to find a non-chain restaurant, and I worry that they won't last."

  • "Great night at Andrei's! We had a reservation and were seated promptly (although at a booth right next to the kitchen - the reason for 4 star rating instead of 5). Waitress was personable and attentive, and their wine special was fantastic. Food was delicious and the beignets for dessert were to die for. I felt slightly underdressed in boots, jeans, and a blouse. Overall, great experience!"
