I was skeptical about our first time there after reading the mixed reviews. However, we had a great experience. The food.... oh my... the food was so good! Starting with the complimentary brushetta, I could have eaten just that all night! Artichoke and crab soup was absolutely amazing, great flavor and very comforting. My husband had the veal parmigiana and I had the smoked salmon pasta, and all I can say is wow. Perfect pasta, perfect sauce everything was terrific. We ended with desert pecan praline cheesecake, which was just as pretty to look at as it was to eat and a canolli. I have to say, as a lover of canolli's I was truly disappointed with it. It tasted nothing like a canolli at all. Overall, it was a great experience.

The waitress seemed to be in a hurry at first, pushing us to order drinks, and while we were considering what to get, asking what appetizers she could get started for us. Then, when we ordered drinks, she eventually came back to say that one of the choices we made wasn't available, but she could recommend an alternative that was 4 times the price (no thanks). Next, the appetizer we chose turned out to be "the only thing on the menu we don't have tonight." Lastly, when one of the entree's arrived, we asked why it wasn't topped with caviar like stated in the menu. Again, the server looked at us, and we could all finish her sentence - we're out of that, too.

My gf and I wanted to try Andreas for dinner before a movie. The location is a bit awkward getting to, but not too bad, especially with their very tall sign as a reference point. Our server Brandy was cheerful and enthusiastic, but was a bit limited in her ability to make good recommendations. The complimentary bruschetta we were served was very tasty, and the fried calamari we ordered was good but not memorable. Our entrees were rigatoni carbonara and veal fettacini alfredo. Both were very good, but the rigatoni dish had been left under a heating lamp too long, congealing the very tasty sauce. Brandy rescued the meal by having the chef make some fresh sauce. Great service recovery. Overall a nice experience. I would go again.

We have eaten at Andrea's several times and it is always excellent. The food is great and offers something for everyone. My husband asked the server for a special type of salad that is not offered during dinner. Our server got the lunch menu and offered to have something prepared from that menu. The service was fantastic! We never had to ask for anything. Chef Andrea will come out and spend time at each table making everyone feel special.

My wife and I are new to Louisiana and we were looking for a place to celebrate her birthday. We did find Andrea's on the internet. It was not a chain restaurant so we were excited to try it. The food was delicious and our waiter (George) was tremendous! To add to the wonderful evening, my wife so glad to receive birthday wishes from the owner (Andrea). The best thing about the place was the delicious food. Thank you Andrea's Italian Restaurant!

Fantastic menu, outstanding service, and absolutely delicious dinner. Took a group of 5 ladies ranging from 11-78; The eggplant skewer appetizers were unique, fried beautifully! Divine veal, trout, crab-filled homemade ravioli, and wonderful desserts! The chef visited us especially and prepared a surprise hot chocolate for my sweet niece--she'll never forget it! Elegant presentation, decor and simply a neat restaurant in the Metairie area. We were celebrating 6 months of healing for my mother's neck surgery! The menu was so inviting, I can't wait to find another reason to return!

Andrea's is a fantastic place to eat. You don't have to go into to New Orleans to get a great meal with great service. You can find it in Metairie right off Causeway Blvd. The food is wonderful. The eggplant crab cakes are a must. The cioppino is my recommended favorite. The service is to notch and Andrea, the owner/chef, came to the table to talk to us.

I've read several terrible reviews lately but we have been coming for the past few years to Andreas, so we were a little worried that it might have changed something's bit it is even better. The food was out of this world. And all the staff was so nice. It is pricy but more than worth it. I recommend the crab and shrimp risotto and tiramisu. The risotto is not on the menu but ask for it.

We always ask for Santino because he makes us feel so welcome and he is an exceptional waiter. It is also very nice to see Chief Andrea making rounds. This is one of our go to restaurants when in New Orleans and especially for holiday meals.

Greeted & seated immediately at 11:00 a.m. in the large dining room by friendly and professional staff. Felt comfortable & at home. Bread, appetizers and entrees arrived after a wait. I took my mother to Andrea's for Mother's Day...she's 95 and this was our third Mother's Day celebration there. It's a new tradition for us. It's easy access for her (restricted mobility), the atmosphere is cordial and inviting, food is superb, service attentive and friendly but not fussy. She feels very at ease there, and we always have a "red-letter day" experience when we go to Andrea's.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Andreas. We were greeted upon arrival by the maitre'd and chef Andrea. We began with a Caesar salad which was large enough to share and served to us divided already. Fresh and tasty! Our waiter recommended the Trout, which was wonderful. It was topped with fresh crabmeat and a light sauce, roasted potatoes and fresh mixed vegetables. Delicious! My gentleman was in the mood for pasta and selected the Lasagna. He said it was very good. The atmosphere was very pleasant with soft music playing. We really enjoyed our evening at Andreas and look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I were looking forward to eating out for Easter since we cook for the family for all holidays. We arrived about 5 minutes early and were seated at a table right away but it took over 30 minutes before we were able to order. No one came to our table - no water, no bread, nothing. We had to get the attention of two waitstaff before our order was taken. We were served our appetizers and then entrees but the waiter neglected to serve us our salads! After the dessert order was taken, there was another long delay. I ordered coffee with my dessert and, of course, did not receive it. The food may have been better than what I remembered but it was marred but the overall experience. Never again!

We've gone to Andrea's several times -- even had my mother's 80th birthday party there. The food is consistently good and we almost always enjoy it. This time, though, it was not so good due to the server's inattention. We had to ask for water, spoons, knives -- something was missing with each course. It was a fixed price meal for Easter. One of us ordered an appetizer off of the menu that never arrived (luckily, it didn't appear on the bill either). The waiter brought each course before we were finished with the previous one so we felt rushed the entire time. There were empty tables, so I'm not sure why there was such a rush. All in all, it wasn't the pleasant experience we have come to expect and enjoy.

This was probably one of the biggest waste of money I have spent in New Orleans. The food I had ordered first came out wrong because the waitress did not know the menu. My wife ordered something and was not asked what type of sides she wanted. Also after ordering a bottle if wine the waitress did not know how to open it. I opened it myself. This place is te furthest thing from fine dining. If I had to do it again I would have gone to Pizza Hut for better service.
