Diner Reviews
  • "If you want to enjoy an excellent varied menu, but don't care about being able to have a conversation with your table mates, this is the place for you. Portions are ample and prices are fair, including wide-ranging wine choices. Interior brick walls look nice but amplify already-too-high noise levels. Would probably go again, but only on a weekday night when crowds are likely to be smaller and quieter."

  • "The outrageous level of noise drowns out the quality of the food. We have been here during the week and it is much more enjoyable than Saturday night."

  • "I made reservations at Andrea's, after my boss recommended it. My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice resturant to celebrate our 7 year anniversary. I have to say the resturant was close to home and had a great ambience! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. We had Reservations for 9:00pm and we showed up at 8:55 and were seated around 9:10. While we waited we had drinks at the bar. The bartender, I believe her name was Jess (I hope) She was awesome! She recommend a great drink for my boyfriend and her positive attitude and great personality made the time fly by while we waited for our table. Once we were sat, we greeted right away from our server and he was great all night! I have never experienced such great service!"

  • "Food and service was very good! Felt great with the greeting when we arrived...made you feel very welcome! However, it was so loud that we could not enjoy our tables conversation. For this reason we will not return on a weekend...way too noisy!"

  • "Too loud. I went out with a group of 6 women. The bartender was fantastic - friendly, made some great suggestions and made even better drinks! Once we sat down the atmosphere was energetic and inviting. We thought that the music was a little loud, but tolerable. The waiter was attentive, polite and knowledge - great experience. The food was incredible, but as the night went on the music got louder and the lights lower - almost like they were turning it into a club and it was only 8 p.m. We are young(ish) ladies in our mid-30s that partied in our day, but wanted to catch-up and chat and it got difficult to do that. With all that being said, I would DEFINITELY go back and I would definitely recommend it to a friend."

  • "This restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. The food is delicious. Everything is made to order, the portions are huge and everything is fresh. We have been back several times and each time have had an unbelievable meal. The owners are warm and friendly, along with that wait staff. I would highly recommend Andrea's North 25."

  • "everything was fantastic from the minute we walked in ... from the ambience to the food and the courtesy waiters ...you don't see much of this around and I'm glad their still some restaurants out there like Andrea 25 north"

  • "The food was very good and the staff was very nice. We had a reservation and were seated 45 minutes late. The appetizers came in a timely manner , but the entrees followed an hour later after some complaints from us. It was very noisey so hard to hear with a large crowd, but overall a fun place."

  • "If you come to this restaurant and have a bad experience it's either a fluke or your just a weird person! They changed their plates so the food looks better then ever. Their drinks are REAL and ridiculously generous from the wine pours to their cocktails. Service is always attentive and thorough (except on Saturdays..lol). My fifth time here and will continue to come and review. By your second trip there the manger and even the OWNER will most likely know your name and what you drink.! So glad there here... Ps over heard talk of an outdoor dining area in the spring.!!"

  • "Great new Italian restaurant. We have plenty of Italian restaurants in Westchester but this one has a different refreshing menu. Cant wait to go back. The special appetizer I had with shrimp, onions and cherry pepers over crostini is one of the best appetizers I've ever had. That should be added to the everday menu"

  • "Management and wait staff very friendly. We were seated in the bar area and enjoyed watching the Olympics on the big screen TV. Since it was a weekday night the restaurant was realitively quiet therefore cannot comment on noise level during a busy weekend. Loved their chopped salad and pasta with shrimp which was a special for the day. My husband ordered eggplant rolatini which he enjoyed. He did order the sausage egg rolls as an appetizer but was disappointed and would not recommend. Overall experience positive and would recommend. One strong negative is parking which is limited however they do offer valet parking which we used."

  • "When a restaurant is this noisy it must mean something, and it does! They're busy and the food is absolutely delicious. The only other restaurants we have around with this quality of food are stuffy and pretentious, this place is a great change!!!"

  • "This was our second visit to Andrea's 25 North. The first time we sat on the upper level (where we'd heard it was quieter) and it was extremely loud, with a couple big group tables and a bar scene. We were rushed through our meal, barely finished our appetizers when entrees arrived. My entree was terrible and the others were mediocre. We then ordered coffee and were basically asked to leave because another big party was arriving. Our last visit on Valentine's Day was better. We were on the main dining floor, no big l groups, but a very loud bad soundtrack of music. The food was better this visit and we weren't rushed, but the people at the table next to us were complaining the whole time about how slow their service was."

  • "The food was very good! Nice selection. Our waiter was great! My only complaint is that, even with a reservation, we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. They did buy us a drink while we were waiting which was a good thing, but the wait time was really too long. Then, it took forever to get our appetizer ( a very good beet salad). We didn't eat until 10:00 ((8:15 reservation). We all enjoyed our food...no complaints there. I would probably go back, but would take into account the wait time and plan accordingly."

  • "The meals were fresh and delicious. Looking forward to going back for the pork palliard and the chianti."

  • "Seated promptly for our reservation but waited an exceptionally long time for our food which was mediocre at best. It was difficult to have a conversation because the noise level was off the chart. The Dining room was dark as well. Would not go back."

  • "The restaurant is very noisy - almost to the point of not hearing the dinner conversation. Also - the last few times I had to wait 30 minutes beyond the reservation time. BUT - this time, we were seated immediately, great table by the window, and the food and service was great and we will be back!"

  • "a last minute change to the reservation resulted in a long wait for a table. everyone was trying their best to accommodate us. once we were seated things went well. food is traditional italian. when one dinner was served with way too much hot pepper it was replaced by the team."

  • "Have been to Andrea25 3 times now. Love the food. The atmosphere feels like a NYC upscale tavern. The noise level is overwhelming during prime times so go early if you want a relaxing dinner where you can hear everyone at your table. Dishes are delicious and plentiful, service is very attentive and friendly. My only complaint is the bar - be careful if you order a specific brand liquor, they apparently substitute lesser brands and don't tell you - I drink two high-end vodkas and know exactly what they taste like - the one's they brought me on two different occasions were cheap substitutes - if they don't have the brand they should tell you and not charge the top-shelf price. Otherwise, we love the place and will come back again."

  • "We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely the place was -- there were many other restaurants in that spot that never seemed to last. We went there because my daughter was appearing in a show at the theatre across the street so we were a little pressed for time but would love to go back again when we have more time and enjoy a leisurely meal. One suggestion would be to give the prices when announcing the dinner specials since they were considerably higher than the prices on the menu."

  • "For any transported Long Islander, who remembers Pippos, Mateo, and Don Peppe, this is the place for you. Great ambiance, terrific food and those baked clams!!! The guys running the place are warm, friendly and we can't wait to go back with our friends."

  • "We wanted to have a great Italian meal on Christmas Eve - Andrea's 25 North exceeded our expectations. The staff goes above and beyond to take care of you. We started with a glass of wine at the bar. Once we were seated upstairs, in front of the huge windows, we were consistently greeted by different members of the staff, ensuring we were content. The food selection was lengthy with additional specials. Our apps were great, so flavorful (tuna tartare & pasta fagoili) and perfectly prepared. Our entrees (fish & chicken specials) were exceptional. The portions sizes are HUGE. We took home most of our entrees, as were were full from our apps. We will definitely be back, as this may be the best restaurant we have been to in the area."

  • "Love-Love-Love Andrea's 25 in Mamaroneck; the atmosphere is pleasant, there is something for every taste, never a bad meal and the place just makes us genuinely happy! Owner/Manager is pleasant, visits with all tables, waiters are knowledgable and caring. What a great new place, I think we've found our new favorite restaurant! Surprised to find a children's menu as 2 of our kids are young and picky, reasonable for a children's pasta. What a nice surprise! Thank you Andrea's 25!"

  • "Waiter was attentive. We loved that they didn't rush us through our meal. We were with a group and wanted to talk and hang out at the table. The specials were fantastic. The waiter described the specials to point that has us all salivating at the chices . Portions sizes were perfect ."

  • "Three of us went for dinner. Salmon dish was delicious as were all of the salad starters. The other two meals (chicken and steak dishes) not good. The restaurant is VERY dark and loud. Lots of stairs. Too bad."

  • "We thought there wasn't enough light in the restaurant. I had to break out the iPhone flashlight to read the menu comfortably (I'm 37, perfect eyesight). The owner (or who I believed was the owner) was very jovial and wanted to make sure everyone was happy and being taken care of.. The welcoming and goodbye handshakes add a nice touch of hospitality. Everything we had to eat was good. I was surprised at how flavorful the dishes were without being outright salty. The flavors were intense in almost every dish. Usually you have a meal and one of the dishes might be considered 'rich'. Evey dish walked that line, it seemed - Which for our mood at the time was a good thing. But you just need to be aware."

  • "We made an early reservation (6:00pm) since we knew the restaurant if often very crowded. Good thing - by 7:30 it was packed! This is a very lovely restaurant although a little dark (need a cell phone light to read the menu). We had a fabulous dinner. Two of our party ordered off the menu and one had a special. The food was so good, we really enjoyed it (one of a very few restaurants where I had a great risotto) The portions were large. If you wanted something added, deleted, etc. from the dish it was not a problem. This is a very accommodating kitchen. The gracious owner was kind enough to offer us desserts which was so appreciated and totally unexpected. We've already made another reservation and can't wait!"

  • "I heard about Andrea's North from a friend, we live locally and I am always looking for a good place to eat. Our three children , ranging from 24-19 were home for Thanksgiving weekend and I was looking for a place for the five of us to eat. When we entered the restaurant we were immediately greeted so welcoming from the maître. We were sat at a table on the second level which was very nice. The waiter could not have been nicer. We shared appetizers which were very food and our entrees were very good as well. I will definitely be back because we thought this place was a winner. The only thing I would like changed is the lighting, I wish the lights were a little bit brighter, it was hard to read the menus."
