  • "Overall my experience was pleasant. The food was very tasty. However, I thought the waitress was kind of slow. It was a thursday night and the place wasn't that crowded. Also, I ordered a beer and it was warm. Other than those two things I enjoyed Andora and would most likely come back. Probably for happy hour or lunch tho."

  • "This place was somewhat pedestrian overall. Another family style Italian restaurant and with such pretty heavy food. One of us had the eggplant parmesan and no kidding it was just a battered and fried piece of eggplant plopped on top of pile of noodles. Without any sauce, not very enticing. My veal was pretty heavy and it was so thick it was hard to find the meat. So the food was so so, but the cocktails were great with a full ration of liquor. Overall it worked for us because we were meeting some friends we had not seen in a long time. The Andora, was a nice place to visit and have some drinks before and after dinner."

  • "Love the outdoor dining here, although we ate upstairs for a quieter experience. The service was excellent, and the food was perfect! Beautifully presented, delicious and unusual. I have dined here with small and large groups so there is something for everyone. Love the private dining rooms and the atmosphere on the patio. This is a neighborhood gem!"

  • "It was originally a turn of the century Inn.We ate in the room with the fireplace. On a cold winters evening, it was delightful. The food was very good and came promptly. Our waiter was OK. Can't put a finger on it, I guess a little pompous. All and all it was a lovely evening."

  • "Overall, we used to like Andora, however it seems to have slipped lately . Location is still nice, but service was slow and kitchen was struggling despite the fact that there was almost no one in the restaurant Sunday. Took ten minutes before we were able to order drinks, ten more for them to arrive and we could finally order. Apps were good, salads also good, then waited twenty-five minutes for two entrees. Only decent pasta, and filet Oscar and mashed potatoes were cold and bland. Two items we ordered were unavailable, which would have been good to know before ordering. Fruit cobbler arrived too cold to even melt the ice cream, and was "fizzy", perhaps sitting too long. Mentioned all to manager when she asked-didn't seem to care."

  • "We had been looking forward to our evening at Andora's (Fox Chapel location) all week and were meeting good friends whom we hadn't seen for some time. What a fabulous evening of sumptuous food, attentive wait-staff and cozy surroundings. Arriving early to catch a drink by the fireside, we relaxed and 'settled in' for what was to be a wonderful time. Even to the last minute, your accommodating reputation was evident, for one of our parties had left his cell phone on the table and our waiter met us in the parking lot (it was freezing outside!) to return it to its owner. BTW, I'm hoping that the beet salad and crabcakes make their way to HEAVEN because they are BEYOND WORDS. Thank you for exceeding my/our expectations. We will be back!"

  • "We had several lunches/dinners at Andora's, all outdoor which is enjoyable. Being winter and cold, we dined inside in the main dining area, at a table that we found out 20 minutes later that did not have a server assigned. Once a server was assigned, things got better except for the cold draft every time the front door was opened. A lady at a table next to us wore her winter coat. I asked for the heat to be turned up which was. The wine, food and the service once jumpstarted was good. Andora's outdoor patio is very nicely arranged, it is cozy, relaxing and romantic. The indoor main dining room in my opinion has no atmosphere, it looks like an "old boys club" with bright lights, closely place tables and wood paneling. No intimacy at all."

  • "Andora was a very good selection. I especially love the teriyaki salmon. Although, the waiter thought we ordered the salad, he was very accommodating at returning the meal back for the correct one. He continued to fill our water glasses and brought us more bread to munch on while we waited for our meal. He was apologetic about the mistake and made sure we were satisfied throughout the meal."

  • "Andora is usually really good, this time not so much. Is there such a thing as Busboys/Busgirls anymore? No wonder the wait staff is hurried. The kitchen should not be out wondering the restaurant talking with the Hostess (can't totally blame him), and not telling the waiter that they are out of items. It took fifteen minutes for our waiter to tell us a item we had ordered for desert wasn't available. He then seemed upset when we cancelled the rest of the desert items, and the glass of wine 15 minutes overdue. I get the feeling (subjective) that they really don't dig kids, no matter how well mannered. I drink, tip well, and have very well mannered children, but I can understand a certain bias. The space is beautiful."

  • "The restaurant has a great deal of charm IF you are lucky enough to be seated on the first floor .. We were only two of about six people in the whole restaurant but were seated in an upstairs room that had about six tables. There was no music or ambient lighting that made it feel romantic and they sat us in the far corner to boot!! It was odd and actually felt awkward. It was also cold upstairs. The food was a little pricey but was very good. We both had the filet which was excellent and the mashed potatoes were very good. The bread pudding for dessert was generous enough to be shared and was delicious. Our bill was about $120.00 with two dinners, drinks, desserts ..."

  • "I ordered flowers for wife to be delivered to the restaurant. Earlier in the day Carly called to say the flowers had arrived, and Carly asked if I wanted a private room. I told her that would be nice. We we arrived the flowers were on the table of our private room--my wife felt very special. The food and service was fantastic as well as the wine."

  • "The service was fair. I ordered sesame crusted tuna with no wasabi aioli. The waiter said that was definitely alright and it would not be a problem to make it without. My tuna was served with the wasabi aioli. I brought it to the server's attention and the server's response was, "Well, how bad is it?" Are you kidding me? It is bad because it was served exactly the way I didn't want it served. I politely asked if another plate could be made and I received the tuna without the wasabi aioli. The server was not as attentive after that. How disappointing."

  • "Beautiful old house provides intimate venue for small parties or romantic dinners and was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Well stocked bar, good wine list and good food. Service was attentive but not overbearing - perfect for our small group wanting to catch up and celebrate together! Would like to return in the spring or summer and dine outside on the back patio - looks like it would be lovely."

  • "The food and the service is top notch. The menu offers a variety, not the typical chicken, fish, pasta dishes that are served in many restaurants. We went for the sea food this time and the fish of the day and the horseradish crusted cod was very good along with the rice, roasted peppers and artichokes and blanched asparagus that were served with it. Be sure to save room for dessert - the berry crumble, turtle brownie, and To-die-for chocolate cake were enjoyed by all.. The staff is excellent and very helpful if you have any question regarding the menu. The atmosphere is relaxing to make for a enjoyable meal."

  • "We arrived a little early and sat at the bar - dark woods, great atmosphere, friendly bartender. Were then seated without wait. The food was excellent, the shrimp bisque the best we'd had in ages. The salmon was generously portioned and perfectly prepared. The only problem was that there was a large private party going on in nearby upstairs room which caused our waitress to be tardy at times, but we were in no hurry and had no complaint. We were in an upstairs room ourselves (anniversary) and enjoyed the privacy. It was a bit cold (the building is historic) so we closed the blinds which helped. Overall though, we had a great time & dinner! We can't wait for warm weather to return because the outdoor patio area in back looked very inviting!"

  • "The food was very good. Was going to have the Cod, but could not get it the way I wanted. It had things on it that I'm allergic to. Lots of the dishes were not for me, since I can not eat spicy foods, or tomatoes. Just wish they would offer more choices for there toppings on there main courses. I ended up having a great steak. Just don't want a steak, every time I go.."

  • "I requested a romantic table for a special occasion and was thrilled when we were taken upstairs and seated in a private room! It was like being at home -- no distractions or noise from other diners -- only better. The wine list was very good and the food was prepared and presented to perfection. The service seemed a bit slow at times but not to any extreme and was better than constantly being interrupted by a server. I highly recommend Andora and am looking forward to returning."

  • "This was my family's first time at Andora and it was fantastic. Their zucchini ribbon appetizer is a must have. All of our dinners and desserts were perfect and the service was delightful. We opted for a private room upstairs for my mom's birthday (at no extra charge) and it was a quaint private room that was just what we were looking for. Excellent!"
