Plus, Andora is easy to get to from our home in Carnegie, PA. Our friends, who had not been to Andora, said they would also return. For what one is getting, the prices are fair.   • "We weren't blown away by the food, but it was pretty good. The patio is really pretty with lights and candles, and the service was great. Prices were really reasonable for this type of restaurant - we spent $125 (plus tip) on three drinks, two appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts. I'd go again, at least for drinks and apps. Recommended!"

  • "Ate at Andora on a Monday evening after our impromptu decision to go out someplace local. Got the calamari appetizer and the crab cakes which are consistently excellent. My husband got the mahi-mahi dinner special and was very pleased with his choice. Portions are on the large side so we each had "take away" for lunch or dinner later. Waiter was knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive (Coby). My only criticism is that tables are close together and noise level in several of the rooms is " energetic" and impairs conversation for those who are hearing- impaired. However, food quality is excellent and we will return."

  • "Our group ordered two filets, which were very good and two pasta dishes. The one pasta dish, simple capellini with mozz. and tomatoes, contained way too much garlic and not enough other spices (simply salt and pepper would have helped!). The dish was not enjoyable because of this. The other pasta dish was also very heavy on garlic but the garlic seemed to be cooked longer and was not nearly as pungent and strong/spicy as the other dish. Overall good food, but not the best first experience for us."

The food was good that night but not up to the par that they have set with me in the past. I had mixed grill (fish) and it was overdone. It has a nice bar and the servers are very pleasant and attentive. I've been there on days when outdoor seating was a must. This is a nice feature."

  • "We started with the stuffed banana peppers that had just the right kick. The sausage stuffing was tender and flavorful. The fried eggplant is in the top five. It is thinly sliced so that it is tender and not bitter. The pomodora sauce is the pefect accompaniement. The cod was tender and flakey and fresh. All in all a very good meal."

  • "We went here to celebrate our anniversary on a weeknight. It was packed. We had to squeeze past people to get to our table. There were several large groups and it was very noisy. It felt like we were packed in like sardines in a room with tin ceilings. Not very romantic at all. The menu looked great and the food looked amazing, but the ambiance was not there."

However as tables were cleared around us the glass top of each was cleaned with a spray that is really bothersome. Here we are enjoying our meal and we can smell Windex. This happened 3 times! A little thing that can definitely be improved upon."

  • "I've dined at Andora numerous times, but this last visit was disappointing. It was so loud, that I found it difficult to carry on a conversation during dinner. Our waitress, Susie, seemed over stretched and provided us with minimal service. I have always been impressed with Andora's service, but on this evening, I felt like we weren't important to our server. The food was decent, but not worth the surprising cost of the bill at the conclusion of the meal. Either entree and my salad didn't 'knock my socks off.' If this were my first trip, I'd be inclined not to return. Fortunately I've been there before and know it's a neighborhood gem. I'll go back eventually, hopefully it'll be a more familiar experience next time."

  • "All of the food courses were very, very good, and the crab cakes were excellent. Bartender could use a little brushing up; the bitters in my Manhatten overpowered the drink. Suspect our waitress was fairly new; she was unable to answer questions about items from the bar or menu (which reflects on the management training). We were seated in the small front room; very nice decor, but the "hard" walls reflected a high noise level, so loud it was difficult to talk throughout our dinner. We came in from Houston to celebrate our sister's 65th birthday, and noted this in our reservation comments, but there was no recognition of any kind by Andora's. Overall, an enjoyable evening, and we would return to this restaurant."

  • "We recently moved into the area and thought we would give Andora a try for a birthday dinner. The service was very quick (almost too quick) and the waitress was pleasant. We started with the calamari which was above average. Our entrees, however, were subpar, especially for the price. I had the chicken with crab and the whole dish had one note and was under seasoned (the chicken was cooked well though). My wife had the veal and the dish was overpowered by the tomatoes in the under seasoned sauce. We are not planning to return."

  • "We went to Andora because we had heard such great reviews of the food. They were right, I had the filet, my fiance had the pan seared scallops, both were excellent. The bad part is the noise level! It was so loud we almost had to yell at each other across the tiny table they stuck us in. Regretfully the painfully loud experience will keep me from going back. In addition because of the noise I could over hear the waitress asking the party of 3 women at the next table to "go to the bar" if they were done because they had people waiting for that table.... That in my opinion is unacceptable! I understand the reasoning , but do not ever ask a guest to leave. If I had enjoyed my dinner, this would have been enough for me to never return."

  • "Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my entree. The filet (medium rare) was very tough and 'chewy' and the garlic seasoning overpowered the filet. For the price, it was not even close to the quality I expected. I was really looking forward to a delicious filet -- but it didn't happen. : ("
