Andora SewickleyWonderful Girl's Night OutOur group of girls had a wonderful time at Andora's. They were able to accommodate us outside in the beautiful patio area. The food and wine were wonderful. Great atmosphere.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMDessert to Die For!Attended Andora on a weeknight with friends. Got the grilled marinated trout special served with rice pilaf and asparagus--delish. Started with the wedge lettuce salad--a little different from the usual but very tasty.
The piece de'resistance was the bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream--scrumptious; the best part was 'no raisins'' and lots of pecans. I love bread pudding, notably my own but do not order it in restaurants as most chefs put raisins in it. This was wonderful but very large and definitely for sharing or taking home in a 'doggie bag'. Waitstaff was attentive but did not hover. The only issue is the noise level which makes conversation with friends difficult especially for those of us with 'senior ears'.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMComfortable Outdoor diningThe outdoor dining area is not an afterthought but an integral and comfortable area. Most restaurants in the area that even have outdoor dining put you in the parking lot or next to the highway. Oh and by the way the food is excellent, the service is attentative and wine list very acceptable. We split an appitizer of hot stuffed peppers and pasta entree and they were both great. The food and service are always high quality. The outdoor dining is such a treat. We were celebrating my nephew's graduation from Westminster. We had 9 people dining, sat outside in a very private area, all ate and drank to our complete satisfaction and were done in time to make our appointment.

Firstly, our waitress attempted to pour wine from a new bottle into a glass we had used for a different wine, and when asked about it, she said, "We are out of clean glasses." She did search over the next 5 minutes for new glasses and provided them to us at that time. Then she delivered our appetizer, and walked away leaving us with no plates to serve ourselves. Later, the same thing happened with the bread she brought. She had already taken our appetizer plates (which we got from a busboy, who wiped one of the plates with his bare hands), or we could have used them for the bread. This being said, I wished they would have added one more table rather than squeeze 4 guys onto one side of the table. It was alittle crowded.

But when I took my wife to Andora for her birthday, the experience was flawless. The food was excellent (fine dining quality), and the pacing between courses was ideal. Our wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The fact that the restaurant is casual makes it a great place to go for a spontaneous dinner.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
