  • An Authentic Experience Hidden Away

The restaurant itself is by far the most hidden restaurant of its class I have ever seen. The restaurant's outside is unassuming but the inside is perfect for a quiet dinner. The food was fantastic. I have to call out the service as utterly fantastic. I have never personally been to a Four or Five Star restaurant but their service is what I would expect from one. The waiter was extremely helpful and personable. We were there on a quiet evening but I honestly felt I could wear anything from business casual to a tux and feel right at home. Its definitely a special occasion destination and I highly recommend it.

I want to bring my friends and family here and come back with my wife as often as possible. We like really good food restaurants where you can bring your own wine and this is one of the best in Austin. We love authentic Italian food and Andiamo is very authentic.

We had not been to Andiamo in years and wanted to stay away from downtown on this busy ACL weekend. From the fresh bread to the outstanding muchroom salad with nuts/seeds and garlic to the sea scallops in a light cream sauce - all the food was outstanding. They even brought us a complimentary dessert when we told them we were celebrating our anniversary. I highly recommend this little gem located in a strip mall!

At a glance the menu is a little pricey compared to most places, but it is most definitely worth every penny. It's a Northwest Austin gem, plenty of parking! The employees are extremely nice. We had Joe and he was amazing, explained the menu and answered any questions that we had. He has great suggestions. The soup is so delicious. The bread is beyond amazing and my favorite thing here. We ordered the spaghetti and gnocchi and chicken. Everything truly was cooked to perfection! The gelato was spot on and the profiteroles were melt in your mouth delicious.

Very friendly staff, accommodating (allowed me to bring in a special wine for a corkage fee). Mid week was not crowded, perhaps due to weather. Normally shy away from strip mall restaurants, but big exception here. Privately owned. Will go again.

  • Saturday nite
    OpenTable Diner Since 2013
    Dined on 9/13/2014
Our dinner for 4 last Saturday was a special occasion, we had multiple courses, several wines, and I came away really disappointed in the meal overall. The signature salad was really off, tiny and boring. the eggplant ho-hum, sausage ok, gnocchi really poor and the stuffed trout was ok just not seasoned or anything special. My guests were from the dining trade and foodies and I could tell let down. Andiamo does not have the greatest of locations or buildlings..thats fine, its not expensive but certainly not cheap. This means to me the food has to totally perform and I was really let down. I've had very good to fantastic lunches at this restaurant in the past. Because of this Ill try again but it will need to hit next time.

My wife and I went there for her birthday, and we had a great time. It is a quiet place, the ambiance is very good without being too fancy, and the food, wine and service were excellent. The server made sure we were happy and having a good time, even though we did not mention to him that it was a special occasion. So I would recommend this place for a quiet, romantic dinner. The background music was classical music, which I like very much.

  • Amazing Food - Too many babies!
    OpenTable Diner Since 2014
    Dined on 8/30/2014
We tried Andiamo's for the first time this weekend for our anniversary. We had been looking for a great Italian restaurant in Austin for years with no luck...until now! The food was amazing, the staff was friendly and attentive without being pushy. They allowed us to take our time and enjoy each course. Our only issue was that on a Saturday night (our reservation was for 7:30pm) we encountered 3 tables with screaming babies. It is an intimate space, so the screams carry and really took away from our romantic evening. But, let me reiterate, the food was AMAZING!

As you drive by this strip shopping center, you would never guess the hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Great service, pleasant ambience, lovely food presentation, delightful menu! The bread is to die for... The Calamari Fritti is a nice starter. Two of my favorites are the Linguine Luci Johnson (Shrimp, cherry tomatoes, mix mushrooms, arugula and crushed red pepper flakes in a garlic olive oil sauce) and Trota Ripiena (Grilled rainbow trout filled with spring vegetables and crab meat in light white wine sauce, served with potatoes and spinach).

Love this place. Always great food and amiable, knowledgeable wait staff. Last night I dined alone, here, for the first time (my wife and I have been here a few dozen times over the years) and I had the absolutely best meal… vitello de rosmarino. It was sublimely tasty and accompanied by a delicate mashed potato along with a lightly sautéed green, red and yellow peppers. Truly one of the very best meals I have had in years. And, Joseph, my waiter was attuned to my need to savor the meal and available when I just wanted to chat… his service skills made a great dish even better. And their Italian wines by the glass are excellent, as is their cappuccino and dolce. Highly recommend this wonderful gem of a restaurant in Northwest Austin.

Andiamo is some of the best Italian food outside of Italy. Every time we go, we're impressed, and it is probably the only restaurant we've been to that seems to get it right every single time, every single detail. Plus, they have a vegetarian tasting menu, can make certain dishes vegan or gluten free, and have an excellent Italian wine list.

Do not judge this restaurant from the out side; it is in a shopping center and does not look like much, from the parking lot. The food is very good, I would consider it gourmet, the portions are small however, so not great for big appetites. It is costly though, the bill came to over $200.00 for four people! We will go back on special occasions only because of the cost.

Andiamo sustains its ability to satisfy. The menu has something for everyone. The food is fresh, imaginative and delicious. The Andiamo bread is worth mentioning - notable (house made/special recipe and memorable). The atmosphere is lovely, the prices are moderately set, and the servers are friendly and helpful. Andiamo is consistent and usually full, or nearly full. Enjoy!

Andiamo's has been a place for special occasions for my husband and I. We returned for our anniversary and were as pleased as always. Both our pastas are standards on the menu and we get them often because they are always good. Our waiter's knowledge of the wines helped us choose a good one, and we enjoyed the terrific service and the restaurant staff's friendliness and hospitality. It was a perfect romantic and satisfying Italian meal!

We dined here for our 18th wedding anniversary. We were offered our choice of seating in the main area or a room off to the back. We chose the latter. It was very quiet for our occasion and service was prompt. Our waiter seemed a little distracted, but the manager took time to talk to us and was very attentive. The fileto choice with the deglazed cherries was outstanding and the recommended wine paring was on point. My wife had the veal ravioli which was also delicious. After dinner the manager presented us with two flutes of prosecco which was delightful. Overall the experience was great and the food was excellent. Our only disappointment was the tiramisu which was a little too soggy which took away from the flavor of the dessert.

This is a great place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. Once you get past that you are in a strip shopping center, the dining room is very nice and they have improved the ambiance over the years. But hey, why were we there? For the food of course and it did not disappoint. This is some of the most authentic Italian fine food in the city. The wine list is very good. If consistency is what you are looking for in a dining experience and that being consistently good is important, then Andiamo is to not be missed.
