A word from Andiamo Ristorante
Andiamo Ristorante is a fine dining restaurant which offers authentic Italian cuisine. We are locally owned, and not affiliated with any chain restaurants. We are also the only authentic Italian restaurant in Austin, TX that has been recognized by the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Texas Inc.

We feature the freshest ingredients from local farmers' markets, and offer a seasonal menu in a traditional European-styled course, designed to pair beautifully with our extensive selection of prestigious Italian wines.

We host Monthly Wine Dinner events on every Last Tuesday - a four-course dinner with wine pairings, and different menus every month.

Diner Reviews
  • "Andiamo Ristorante is a great place for a date night. It's an old-school family owned fancy restaurant. They have successfully captured every detail of the experience. My only complaint was that the waiter was too attentive. I have eaten there two other times though and the server was always perfect. I think our guy was new. He was very good, very skilled at his craft and could recite the menu in three languages, but a little excited. I have seen people in there for business and pleasure. Every thing I've tasted was delicious. I have recommended this restaurant to many others and because they've never heard of it they're skeptical, but their website has upgraded and is worthy of recommendation."

  • "1 appetizer, 2 salads, 2 entrees with a glass of wine for $160 with tip. If you have the extra money, it's worth a try. Also the strip center location won't impress anyone."

  • "There is nothing bad I can say about Andiamo. Every time I'e gone the experience has been amazing. The daily specials I've had are always a great choice to try. I love the photography displaying the different regions of Italy. Occasionally I've been there with live music quietly playing in the background. The chef's choice menu is a great experience if you have a couple of hours to linger and savor. Always friendly and helpful wait staff. Don't be deterred by its location and plain looking exterior- it's absolutely worth the trip."

  • "My husband and I had a great dinner (our second visit, and plan to go again). There are multiple vegetarian options and they are so flavorful that so far this is one of my favorite places to go. My carnivore husband even liked my dishes. It seemed a little pricier than the last time we went, but the quality of food was worth it. The restaurant was quiet enough to be able to have a conversation without having to talk loud, and I could hear without straining, so I would recommend it for a romantic evening out."

  • "We chose the chef's 5 course dinner special. And it was truly special. It was delicious from start to finish. The wait staff was quiet and efficient. We had a very nice evening celebrating being together."

  • "Nice little place hidden away. Nice ambiance. Food was very fresh and authentic. However, authentic Italian is rather bland compared to American style. Would have liked it to be a bit more flavorful with spices. Overall very good and great place for a romantic dinner. Bit pricy so would recommend for special occasions."

  • "Good food, not crowded, not downtown. Nothing about this place is a hassle, and they don't sacrifice on quality either. I hadn't been in years and if anything it's better now than the last time I went. Appetizers are a little bit "typical Italian restaurant" but the entrees and specials are excellent. I ordered the pancetta wrapped shrimp and was very happy."

  • "Went to Andiamo for the first time and was it wonderful! Every dish we had was authentic, wonderfully presented and tasted so good. We had the scallop appetizer that melted in your mouth, homemade mushroom ravioli, and the crab stuffed shrimp that was out of this world! To top it off, the homemade bread they serve was to die for. Extensive wine list included great prices for wine. We will definitely return for another food trip to Italy."

  • "We were a party of six packed into a small table in the corner, although the restaurant itself was never even half full. Our server let us sit a long time before coming to our table, did not check on us between the time he took the order and our entrees arrived, and didn't check on us after the entrees arrived. When we asked for more bread when the entrees arrived, he brought 3 slices. After 40 minutes passed at the end, we finally flagged him down for the check and then had to flag him down again to pay. It took 2.5 hours for our entrees and dessert. The food was fine but unexceptional. The pork tenderloin was just four bite-sized pieces of meat. My husband stopped for a sandwich on the way home. Hard to judge the food due to the service."

  • "The outside of the restaurant is too much bland and plain to what extent I couldn't believe I arrived in your Italian restaurant. I think the design for the exterior of your restaurant could have been much better to signal "this is the Italian restaurant you've been looking for" in an elegant way. Please just look at your restaurant from the parking lot. Could you find the Italian restaurant?"

  • "This quiet, elegant restaurant is hidden in a non-assuming strip mall off Rutland near Braker Ln. You think "ho hum" when you see the place from outside, but walk in and you realize this is a restaurant run by serious people with great taste. Every detail is carefully thought through. Wait staff are courteous, thoughtful, and attentive. One of them is constantly on duty observing the toon, making sure the diners have water, bread, whatever they need. Yet there is no "hovering" or intrusion. The wine list, though on the short side, is superb. I had a very reasonably priced 1999 Amarone with my perfectly prepared beef tenderloin fillet."

  • "Really great experience. Amazing food. Salads fantastic. Bread was the best I've ever eaten. Quiet, but not dead. The restaurant also supports a great charity. No better Italian place in Austin, and I think I've eaten at most!"

  • "Food was poor. vegetables overcooked, potatoes tasted like they were from a box and the shrimp were not fresh, (most likely frozen)"

  • "We had great recommendations for this restaurant but were disappointed in the food choices, the amount of food and the high prices. The wine prices were extremely high. The salad portions were skimpy and priced high. We would not recommend this restaurent. There are many more Italian restaurents that give a person a much better value."

  • "This was our 1st visit to Andiamo, on Valentines Day, and the whole experience was great! We were promptly seated and attended to by the waitstaff. The service was excellent and was matched by the food! The appetizer, entrees, and desserts were well prepared and served at exactly the right pace for a relaxing, romantic lunch. The waitstaff was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable on the entire menu. Overall, I would rate our experience as excellent. We are looking forward to returning soon."

  • "I found this place on Urbanspoon a while back and took my family there when they were visiting Austin. It's now one of our go-to places when we're all together. The pasta is always extremely fresh and delicious. The bread they serve is one of the best things imaginable. Seriously. If you go, try the bread, and aren't craving it all the time, there's something wrong with you."

  • "Like every other review says, it's a hidden gem. Some of the best Italian food I've had in a long time. Totally worth the money and will be returning as soon as possible. Service was excellence as well."

  • "We went to celebrate our 31st anniversary. There were gluten-free choices and special effort and attention was made to accommodate my husband's dietary needs. The food was fabulous from the scallop appetizer to the entree. Highly recommended."

  • "For the money, the food was not good. The food was okay, so $20 an entre is too high."

  • "Two people, $100.00 dinner including tip. We ordered the specials off the menu and each had a drink + we shared a salad. Service was good, and my dinner was very good. The only reason I wouldn't recommend it is the price. If I'm going to spend that kind of money I expect the setting/atmosphere to be much better. To be honest, the restaurant is as nice as it can possibly be for its location. It's in a small shopping mall in a not-so-nice part of town. For the price, we could have eaten downtown at south congress cafe or one of the other nice restaurants. I'd say our bill should not have been more than $60.00 including the tip. We won't be returning because of the price."

  • "The most assuming location, filled with one of the best Italian dinners I've had in Austin. The scallops, the bread, the salads, the ravioli and veal Osso buco were all just spot on. Solid wine list. A dinner to remember."

  • "Andiamo is still good, but I'm not sure it's worth the prices anymore. In excess of $20 for a not-out-of-the ordinary lasagna is too expensive. I'd pay happily if the dish were special, but it's not. The pastas used to be priced in the teens, but now all of them are over $20. Also, one of my companions complained that his pork dish was overcooked. I've always loved the place and could rely on the food and service being great and worth the expense, but I'd have to think twice now."

  • "Andiamo's has always been such a great experience and our return visit for my husband's birthday was no exception. We both ordered signature pasta dishes from the menu and were not disappointed. The Lucy Johnson pasta remains on the menu for a reason. It is simple, and yet the flavors and the perfectly prepared pasta are so satisfying. My ravioli with mushrooms in a brown butter sauce is just the right blend of flavors, subtle and yet really flavorful and the pasta, again, was prepared just right. The special warm bread they bring is heaven and we always need a second basket. The changes to the decor just make this place even more elegant and the experience more enjoyable. The wait staff is always terrific, and we feel at home!"

  • "Service was warm and friendly. Food was delicious. The ambiance was a little low key. Could use some nice nice low volume italian music in the background. And personally, I like restaurant a little darker. Would recommend this to anyone for any occasion. Was there for dinner only."
