Diner Reviews
  • "This was our first visit to the Novi Andiamo. We have been to Sterling Heights and the Warren restaurants and have never been disappointed. The Novi restaurant was very good as well. The whitefish was excellent. It was nice to have live music playing and have a chance to dance. We would definitely return."

  • "My experience was good and I especially liked that I could set up my reservation 2 days before online."

  • "Have eaten here a number of times. Loved the duo signing in the bar. The food, ok. My lasagna was ok, but a little burned on the side from the pan. I would expect a little more from this place. Service was prompt and very efficient and the atmosphere is great. They just need to turn up the food a notch."

  • "We enjoyed a celebratory dinner at Andiamos in Novi. The food was excellent and the wait staff was beyond reproach. We were able to enjoy conversation across the table UNTIL the band started. Though the singer was fine, the band was so loud we had to struggle to hear each other talk. They started playing early, at 6:30 or 7. Unfortunately, that put a damper on the whole dinner, since we were not there to listen to a band."

  • "We enjoyed our dining experience. Good food, good value, nice atmosphere. The entertainment was a bonus. Our only complaint was the noise level. It was hard to carry on a conversation w/ out raising your voices. We would definelty go again."

  • "Very good food. good service. will go back again there."

  • "Went to Joe and Aldo's for my husbands birthday, Valentines Day. My husband, our 2 teenage children & myself. Having dined here when it was Andiamo, I realized that the menu was different. But, I was hoping that the quality level would be the same, It was not. Our waiter was nice, the food was no where near as good. The only thing that actually was Andiamo quality was our salads. My son had Penni/Alfredo that was not bad, I had the stuffed shells. The cheese to pasta ratio was overpowering. My daughter had bowtie pasta with Palamina sauce, same sauce as my shells. We were expecting a smooth cream tomato sauce, actually it was lumpy with big pieces of herbs. My husband ordered a salmon dish, the salmon was cold in the center. Disappointed"

  • "Service was timely , knowledgeable and easy going. Food was delicious, well prepared, nicely presented. Live music was interesting & added to a very pleasant evening."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed Valentine's dinner here. Her beef medallions were cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed the lasagna. Obviously there were many couples there, however, there were also families with kids, which was not a problem. Menu options for all. The server recommended a good red wine for my wife, which she enjoyed, and also introduced me to a couple of new craft beers. A nice evening!"

  • "We were greeted immediately by the hostess and wait staff, drink orders taken, appetizers, everything was great as far as service was concerned. The music was amazing, very talented artists, we enjoyed listening to them. The menu needs work. With todays lifestyles and eating, the menu was weak. We almost left and went to Carraba's where the menu offers more variety. The food was OK, nothing special. For the prices I would expect fantastic."

  • "Ordered a bottle of wine off the wine list and they overcharged us on our bill..be careful..very sneaky and dishonest. What else do they do that with? My husband did not think it was a big deal but I did. Would never go back and I am telling all my friends. Also has no atmosphere, felt like I was in a cafeteria."

  • "Very good food. good service. i tried their beef and mushroom bisque soup. Special- Fried Gnocchi and chicken."

  • "We loved the atmosphere and the service was outstanding. Our server recommended an excellent wine and the manager made sure to stop by to see if we needed anything. The fresh bread and salads were delicious as was my wine. I don't normally complain,if fact I never mentioned to the waiter but since I got this email and decided to reply I must tell you that my whitefish was EXTREMELY salty. I had a birthday dinner last year at Andiamos and ordered the whitefish which was spectacular. I'm sorry to say that it was not as tasty this time around. Everything else was A++"

  • "So disappointed in the atmosphere of this restaurant now. Very noisy and hard to talk over band. Had a business dinner and will remember not to do future bios news dinners here. Menu kind of limited, too. ."

  • "Chicken parmesan was very good, but I'd rather have a small side of pasta instead of green beans."

  • "The restaurant is OK, but not what I expected. It feels like a sports bar considering the TV's hung in many places in the restaurant. However, the service was good and I would recommend it to someone looking for alternative options. Their eggplant appetizer was excellent, and well worth trying."

  • "Joe & Aldo's used to be Andiamo's Novi. Liked it better when it was. They have obviously aimed at more family-friendly dining. Big-screen TV's throughout the restaurant (yuck!), and a slightly less expensive menu overall (yay!). But the dining area is not especially appealing to couples anymore. Since we don't have kids this will not be our first choice for a romantic evening, unless we sit in the bar area."

  • "Birthday Lunch My friends took me out to lunch for my birthday at Joe and Aldos. We had a very pleasant lunch. Food was excellent and our waiter was very helpful. We would go there again."

  • "My parents are Asian, and my husband is Caucasian with 1/4 Italian in the family. So finding a place we can all eat on a special occasion can be tough. My parents want fresh seafood (like my Mom at the grocery makes the fish stand guy go to the back to get fish because nothing is fresh enough), and my husbands parents are more traditional (his Dad is the true Italian, have to have a good sauce for him to like it). Amazingly, everyone is happy here. We've been there twice now, and my parents love the salads and fish entrees. The kids actually eat (they say the pasta is extra good there). It's a bit pricey for everyday eating for us, but I'm sure we'll be there several times a year for birthdays or special dinners."

  • "Booked online at open table but, wanted NYE CELEBRATION. They were fast to phone me to make the correction and reserve a table in the banquet hall. We had a great time with great food drinks and band."

  • "The menu was very limited, figured it would have more of the Italian flair type items like Chicken Marsala or Chicken Piccata and they did not, our water glasses were almost empty before the waiter decided to come by to refill the glasses, my food was not hot when I received it and had to send it back, and the flavor was very blah. The salmon was suppose to be char broiled and it didn't even look like it was even on the grill at all. When I asked the waiter if I could have the salmon without the "stuff" on top of it he said that because it was New Years Eve that they couldn't accomodate my request. I will never return to this restaurant. Not a very good New Years Eve dinner."

  • "This place was great at accommodating 14 people for a family holiday dinner and our waitress was the best. However, after getting past delicious appetizers (calamari and fried artichokes) soup (Italian wedding) and salads, the entrees were disappointing, coming from the kitchen less than hot, overcooked pork medallion special, and not as flavorful as they could have been. Seemed like they ran out of garlic and Italian spices in the kitchen."

  • "Only issues was we were put in bar area due to large parties."
    Dined on 12/7/2013
  • "Food was poorly prepared and we do not plan on returning."

  • "I ordered the hamburger for an Italian restaurant and was pleasantly surprised how great it was. Cooked as I asked for, nice portion. Fries were very good! I have been there 2 times and have had good burgers each time. Service was very good."
    Dined on 12/1/2013
  • "Soup and Chicken Aldo were very good. Side of pasta was very small and cold. Service was fair. We are still debating wheteher we would go back or not. Looks like a place you would hoast a large party at"
    Dined on 11/30/2013
  • "My wife had the beef tenderloins which were very good but she ordered it medium and they ended up being almost well done. I ordered the chicken parmesan. I expected it to be a better quality dish for the price, but it ended up being pretty close to what I could do in my own kitchen."
    Dined on 11/16/2013
  • "Very disappointed. Appetizers were good but entrees were not. Service was also poor."
    Dined on 11/15/2013
  • "We ordered 1 appetiser and 2 entrees. We waited for over 30min for entrees and the pasta was way over cooked."
    Dined on 11/13/2013
  • "Food and service were very good. A very pleasant experience."
    Dined on 11/11/2013
  • "The food is a bit pricey for what you get. Exp. The flank steak was served as a very small portion. They should offer a few more specials instead of just TWO. The drinks also were pricey for the laid back atmosphere. I had an excellent server that waited on our table. I also would recommend that you offer mussels on the menu or something less bready or less fattening."

  • "This restaurant used to be Andiamo's of Novi. Now known as Joe and Aldo's, I'm not so sure it hasn't lost a little of it's appeal. We called to reserve a table for a family group of 8, because we had dined there previously, and we had hoped to experience the same level of service and food preparation we had on our first visit. We found the menu included many of the same items and we were told that the chef was still the same. Our group ordered 3 different appetizers, 7 different entree's, and desserts for all. I can say that everyone thought their meal was very good. The service philosophy seems to have changed along with the name. We felt as if we were being rushed through our dinner, and our waiter seemed to hover around our table."
    Dined on 11/2/2013
  • "Poor comparison to most Andiamo establishments. Waiters knew very little about the new rewards program. This restaurant was so attractive, and now is so plain."
