  • "we wanted appetizers, so decided to split entrée ($7 to do that) we didn't know! Mussels were tiny and sparse although Italian sausage was good, calamari was good, salad very limp, minestrone was not good either. Filet was fine."

  • "Anniversary dinner! Food great! However, our waitress was sub par. 1st, I asked waitress about a coupon I had for a free appetizer..she looked irritated & it didn't seem she would honor it. Finally she gave us 2 choices of appetizers. At the end of the meal we received our bill and we gave the waitress our Mille Grazie card (which entitled us to $25 dollars off-July promotion - btw, if it wasn't for this promotion we would have chosen a less expensive location). Anyways, the waitress would NOT honor the $25 off saying u can only use 1 promotion at a time. We told her we would pay for the $9 appetizer and instead use the $25 off promotion but she said NO. She had already rung it up and wouldn't change it. Should have talked to manager."

  • "Had dinner with my wife and brother-in-law / sister-in-law and first thing I noticed was that the restaurant was very quiet which really makes the dinner experience much more enjoyable. The food was great and the waiter was first class. A bit on the pricey side but this should be expected for one of your better restaurants. Overall I would recommend and return to this restaurant."

  • "I was disappointed with the visit. Last time I went there, I thought the food was excellent, although a bit pricey for the quality it offered, but this time the food was just OK. I ordered a veal dish: it was just mediocre, the meat was not tender as I expected and too salty to my taste. Somehow, their food was much better a few years ago."

  • "Had dinner with 2 friends at this location, which we have enjoyed in the past. Sorry to say it's not what it was. Even with a reservation, and a less than full house, we were given a table near the kitchen & bathrooms, and were also disturbed by server accessing wine lockers. Service was amazingly slow -- over 3 hours for dinner. First contact with server took over 20 minutes; luckily we had some catching up to do. Slow service continued, though server was pleasant and knowledgeable. Food was good, but not outstanding. Crostini on mussels appetizer was burnt on one side, so they turned it over when served. We tried some of the "25 year anniversary" special dishes, but 1 of 3 was really good. Second Andiamo location disappointment."

  • "I almost never send a meal back to the kitchen, but undercooked risotto is where I have to draw the line, especially since it's one of the easiest things in the world to cook. Okay, I accept that no one is perfect and we all make mistakes, but when you make one in the restaurant business the way you handle it will determine if you get repeat business or not... in this case, not. A waiter that mutters at you and scoops up the bowl with a bothered look doesn't bring me back. A manager who ceremoniously delivers your replacement plate with an annoyed scowl and says nothing doesn't bring me back. The complete absence of an apology for serving me undercooked food then treating me like a leper when I dare to send it back doesn't either!"

  • "We visited this Andiamo for the first time. The main course, Salmon was excellent. The kitcat dessert was fabulous (especially for a chocolate fiend like me). The salad was sub par. Poor stock rotation on the lettuce. The waiter said he would talk to the kitchen. So did the manager although he never came back."

  • "My visit was un-announced to surprise my son. The folks @ Andiamo were all on board to pull this off. His best friend & Roomie Daniel Wilson called him , told him he had to work. He arrived, un-knowning that his Dad was the "Surprise" waiting for him. The waitstaff were super, and the food was great. My hats OFF to the folks @ Andiamo Livonia!! for making this one of the most memoriable Father's Day's ever! Thanks Again. ( I would like to ADD this, there was a wedding reception going on also, and the band's music added a nice flavor to the atmosphere of the resturant!! Salute!!)"

Reservations went smooth & they were very accomodating when we were running a little late. Service was exemplary, food was outstanding. The night couldn't have been better.   • "We were shuttled off to a small table at the side of the bar when we arrived. We requested a better table, and were then directed to a booth. We had to request a table again. The service was above average, and the food was rated excellent by 3 out of the 4 of us, with one "just OK." We probably will return on a special occasion, but not soon. "

  • "I was disappointed with the change of the menu. I had the veal and it was tough and way too salty. The green beans were limpy. The soup had no flavor and the pasta was gummy. The only thing that was good was the tomato sauce. It is still the best. The changes to the menu wasn't an improvement over the old one, just the reverse. We use to enjoy going to Andiamo for fine dining and darn good Italian cooking. We will have to find another one, and I am a long time member."

  • "went there for my girlfriend's party with friends. food was good, service was pretty slow, it took about 40min for salad/soup to come out, and one time the server showed up with a mouth-full of food. our group kept adding on people and they did accommodate us which was nice. overall, good food with ok service (not a bad service, just nothing great)."

  • "I rated the food at a 3 because my $24 piece of salmon was the smallest piece of fish I had ever been served at a restaurant. It tasted good, but I left hungry, which is unacceptable, especially for the prices at this restaurant. I don't mind paying good money for a good meal, but I felt that a 3 ounce piece of fish was more of an appetizer than a main course. I was treating my mother to dinner, and didn't want to say anything in front of her, which was why I didn't say anything then and there. "

  • "Went to Andiamos Livonia for 24th wedding anniversary. The hostess was friendly. Once seated we waited 15 minutes for water-there were only 4 other tables seated, the restaurant was mostly empty. The speaker playing modern music had a loud buzz like the sound of an old streetlamp outside or the loud hum of a mosquito in your ear. It was deafening. We told our waitress who said she would speak to the mgr. For the next 45 minutes someone attempted to fix the problem by turning the music volume up & down, on & off. The mgr never came over to apologize. The waitress never asked if we were ok or offered a solution-moving us to the bar area of the restaurant. We ate 3 bites of our food, asked for doggie bags & left. Worst anniversary dinner ever!"

  • "Our service was wonderful from the time that we arrived and throughout dinner. We were celebrating our anniversary and the waitress was kind enough to treat us with dessert. They were very helpful with their recommendations for dinner. They also recognized the special request, which they could not honor because of the large parties. But I think that it was wonderful that they did read our special request and apologized that they could not honor the request."

  • "One entree was delicious (spinach ravioli with palamino sauce) and the other entree was average (steak bits with gorgonzola cream sauce). the stead was tough. The waitress was busy and not so attentive however, there were plenty of bus staff to fill water and clear plates. We had an additional wine charged to our bill and had to ask for it to be removed."

  • "The veal saltimbocca was delicious! It had olives, tomatoes, capers in a wonderful white wine sauce, with very tender veal pieces (3). Two others had the whitefish and said it was very tasty. The fourth guest had the scallops over spinach with a sweet corn relish and she said it was wonderful (and she's a finicky eater!). The only complaint I ever have at Andiamo (any location) is that I feel the wait staff tries to "rush you through". Our most recent visit was a Saturday night, with two couples. We were just out to have a leisurely dinner and I felt like we were being rushed to order. Once we placed our order, the food comes very quickly, which in some cases is good if you want to eat quickly."

  • "White fish ordered was over cooked. We had waited such a long time to get served that my wife chose not to send it back and delay dinner. A young manager noticed how well done my wife's fish was and offered to replace it. We declined so he took her entree and her glass of wine off of our bill. Quite a class act as we hadn't complained. We have had great dinners there before and will return. Any establishment can have an off night once in a while"

  • "I have always liked Andiamo's Livonia restaurant, especially because it has a very nice outdoor patio, and a pleasant ambiance inside. I also like their wine list. But I was really disappointed with the food when I went there last Friday. I ordered veal saltimboca, which is usually a delicious dish. What I got was a greasy and tasteless concoction, with almost no prosciutto or cheese. To the extent that I could taste anything besides the grease, it was mostly black olives. I am not ready to swear off the restaurant, but I will certainly never order the Saltimboca again. In fairness, I should say that everything else was fine, but it's hard to enjoy the trimmings when the main dish is no good."
