Diner Reviews
  • "When I go out for Italian food I pay special attention to sauces because for me that's what can make or break a course and Andiamo's marinara sauce did not disappoint--chock full of the flavor of tomatoes and herbs had just the right consistency and was delicious."

  • "After spending several days in Santa Fe was definitely looking for something other than New Mexican cuisine. Andiamo definitely fit the bill. Great food and excellent service. Nice quiet little neighborhood restaurant. Definitely seemed like more of a locals hang out than tourist -- which is great. For Santa Fe we were pretty impressed with the quality of the Italian food. Definitely recommend!"

  • "In Santa Fe where most restaurants are overpriced and very touristy, this restaurant is wonderful. I have eaten here several times. The food is always great."

  • "Santa Fe has a lot of restaurants and we have been to most. Andiamo is right there near the top at an affordable price to it's peer restaurants."

  • "This kind of small venue local place is disappearing fast. Great food, wonderful service, no rushing and friendly atmosphere. And NO ANNOYING MUSIC that intrudes at every turn. I don't live in Santa Fe , but enjoy this terrific plac every time I visit. Try it once and you will rave like I do."

  • "The location was close to our hotel and the food delicious."

  • "Our visitor to Santa Fe was looking for a delightful dining experience and Andiamo filled the bill! We used Open Table for the first time to make our reservation and it worked perfectly. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodated our vegan needs by altering a couple of the dishes listed on the menu. The meals turned out to be superb and just the way that we asked them to be prepared. The noise level was a bit loud, but, still, our experience was excellent!"

  • "Long time Santa Fe standard is always the place for a quiet and delicious meal. Also does great lunches. Good for a regular day or a special occasion."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "We had a great dinner. The speacial which was swordfish was excellent. The lasagna was fantastic. The spaghetti and meatballs is proper. The pene with spicy lamb sausage was wonderful. Everyone was throughly satisfied with their meals."
    Dined on 3/18/2014
  • "Our lunches were fabulous! I would highly recommend the warm spinach salad with shrimp. Prices were very reasonable, and since the restaurant was unusually empty the day we were there, we lingered talking for two hours and didn't feel rushed by the wait staff. I'm looking forward to my next visit!"

  • "Dinner on Sunday was great, but then again, it always is. Food is consistently delicious. Start with the polenta and Gorgonzola cheese sauce. Amazing."

  • "Great experience. Seems like a locals favorite. Simple but well done menu, good wine list, every dish being outstanding. Service was impeccable. We will be back and recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Fe."

  • "I think Andiamo had an off night this last visit - food was just fair. We have always looked to Andiamo for a great meal. Sorry it didn't work for us this time."

  • "Great food for every occasion! I've been there more than 3 times and for one reason! This restaurant will be perfect fir any occasion! The food is fantastic and I have had a special date there, and it was romantic. I took my French friends there, with a 5 year old, and everyone loved it! I've been with a group of professional women for girl's night out, and everyone loved it! The staff is very professional, yet friendly and accommodating. The food us fantastic and reasonably price. Nice wine lost, but a little pricy! The food is worth it!"

  • "This has been and continues to be a favorite of both my wife and myself for dining alone or with friends. The food is always great. The service last night was unusually slow but I'm sure there was a good reason as that is not the norm. The beet salad was great, the crispy duck leg was perfect and the desert fantastic."

  • "A busy Friday nite-with reservations, our table was ready when we walked in the door. Service was excellent, food was terrific and always very hot(temperature hot) and the wine is chilled perfectly. No surprises at this restaurant-always very good."

  • "Oh Andiamo how do I love thee, let me count the ways. 1. You gave me a restaurant week deal with some of your classics with a few new ones. 2. The prosciutto and endive salad is always exceptional then trying a new main pasta dish with the delicious dessert at the end makes this place a comfort. 3. Since it's so small I don't come as often but I was reminded with the great service and relaxing environment why you are still by far the best Italian restaurant in Santa Fe. Looking forward to a visit soon."

  • "We save this restaurant for special occasions and it never disappoints! The staff is veggie knowledgeable and the chef is good about altering menu items for vegetarians."
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "The food is always good. The service is way to slow. If you have the time - fine, spend at least 90 minutes, even when it is NOT packed. Like many places in Santa Fe, is it small. The tables are really close, so not much privacy for conversations."
    Dined on 2/26/2014
  • "The restaurant was very full because of "restaurant week." That said, we were seated promptly and the service proceeded without a hitch."

  • "We went to Andiamo! for Restaurant Week - which in Santa Fe is a time that local restaurants make up a menu and you have choices all for one set price. We went and were AMAZED at the quality and quantity of food for this special week. Great bread before your dinner, wonderful salads, the pasta is homemade and 2 die 4, and the desserts were killer. We can't wait to go back! If you want great pasta and a wonderful dining experience, go to Andiamo!"

  • "This restaurant always performs at peak level. It was a busy weekend night, people were waiting for tables but we were seated right away-not waiting because we had reservations. The entrée always comes out hot. We like the nightly menu that gives more depth to the regular menu. Servers are knowledgeable about the wines and never over sell . We have never been disappointed at Andiamos."

  • "Have not been there is awhile and found it as good as ever."

  • "Had I known it was restaurant week, we probably would have postponed our visit to Andiamo! - it is a place better savored than rushed. The usually romantic dining room was vibrant (and loud) with energy and conversation. Still the food was excellent - the baked risotto was magical, as was the roasted beet salad. My husband's lasagne Bolognese was, he said very good though not exquisite. But the bottle of Brunello ($47) was quite fabulous. I understand that Restaurant Week is intended to get people into the restaurants and I am glad that others have the opportunity to try new places and food ... I just wish we had waited."

  • "Great food but was way over booked. Took over 1 hour to get food ! Wait staff good but not very friendly due to over crowed,"

  • "Our party of 4 had reservations for 7 o'clock and it was during Restaurant Week. We waited about 15 min but that was our fault since we decided against the first table they offered. The food was delicious, particularly the prosciutto endive salad. The entrees were also really good, but I overheard one waiter to say to another "we're out of shrimp!" which was the mainstay of many of the dishes. By dessert three of the four choices on the menu were likewise gone! They did their best to offer alternatives, I must say. I think this showed a lack of foresight on the part of the management doing the food ordering, and the wait staff was left to deal with it. Aside from that it was a good meal and we will be back."

  • "We always enjoy the food and wine at Andiamo -- we have for years."

  • "I've never thought of Andiamo as a kid-friendly restaurant, but was completely impressed by their child-sized portions and wonderful service for our 5 child diners ages 4-15. Their pizza, which I had never tried in over 15 years of dining there, is amazing. The best crust that I've ever tasted. Andiamo has always been a favorite of mine for their consistently good food and sweet ambiance -- now I love it even more!"

  • "Although there were several tables available throughout the restaurant and we had advanced reservations, we were seated right next to the kitchen door. After my husband narrowly escaped decapitation for the third time by a member of the wait staff as they flew in and out of the kitchen, we asked to be moved. We then proceeded to enjoy a lovely, albeit a bit overpriced and rather unremarkable, dinner...and watched as they continued to seat, and move, people at the table near the kitchen door. But, assuming this goes on every night, why not MOVE THE TABLE or PUT UP A SCREEN? The answer lies in the fact that the restaurant is too small to do this level of service!!"

  • "if you are from a big city that has access to fine Italian food, this place will be a disappointment to you I have had better prepared Italian food at good pizza places (with full menus) in New York. This place tries hard but does not live up to the blogger accolades and very stale "best of" awards that it uses to promote its establishment. Respectfully, move on."

  • "Made a reservation at 6:10 pm for 6:45. Got to the restaurant a little early and they actually had our reservation. Never used Open Table for a reservation before and was truly amazed that it worked. Restaurant quiet, great food, good wine and beer, good service. Would definitely recommend and go there again."

  • "Although the food was good, there wasn't nearly enough garlic in the aglio olio. and they forgot the red chili flakes. I had asked for a special b'day treat for my girlfriend, and , even though the wished her happy birthday, there was no writing in chocolate on the plate and we were charged for it. WE hadn't been in years and although it is very pretty and we were freezing in the "alcove". I think we'd try another place for a bday celebration next year. Willow was great though. Also, not much of a happy hour!"
