Not inexpensive, but well worth it. The duck legs are always phenomenal, and they come with wonderful greens! Of course, everybody has their favorites, but all I ever order is the duck. And the crispy polenta with rosemary and gorgonzola. When we realized that we had happened upon a special event we worried a bit about the service and when we arrived the place was loaded! But the service did not suffer one bit...as a matter of fact it was even better! The wine list is quite extensive and not as pricey as some places in Santa Fe. We enjoyed our meals: polenta, prosciutto salad, lasagna bolonese, and a calamari pizza. Good wine too.
There were two negatives: this was dinner, but our friend requested a small or lunch-sized caesar salad. The kitchen refused to make one. Come on guys, how hard is it to plop down three romaine leaves instead of 6 and make up a price? My wife finally said bring us a dinner salad and we'll split it; but again they wouldn't split it in the kitchen. How hard would that have been?
Secondly, our new friend is a bit hard of hearing, so the noise level made it difficult for him to hear our conversation. All the dishes we ordered were excellent as well as the house bread. We are looking forward to our next lunch at this wonderful neighborhood tratorria.
