Diner Reviews
  • "We love this place. We always come here for the special occasions, it feels like we are back in Andalucia, Spain, where we fell in love 23 years ago. Great food, perfect ambiance, & the music & dancing are fabulous."

  • "I have been here twice in the last month. Fridays and Saturdays they offer live Flamenco music; guitarist, percussion and dancer. Two 45 minute shows between 8pm and 10:30pm. The best free show in town. The food is spicey but you can request more or less spice to fit your taste. The food arrives fresh and hot and the waite staff are are attentive. This no rush to leave, no lingering is okay. One caution: if you are looking for a quiet romantic place this is not it - people come here to laugh, listen to music and enjoy themselves."

  • "The food is average and unfortunately not really Spanish. Good Flamenco show and really good guitar player."

  • "The flamenco show was fantastic. And I ct like I was listened to when I request a great table when I made my reservation online-- we were up front. Our server was good, but a bit overshadowed since she also was serving a party of 50. The food was authentic!"

  • "Muy buen sitio, acojedor, como estar en familia; con la calidad en servicio y comidas de un restaurant de 5 tenedores."

  • "Went here for a birthday celebration on a Friday night. This was quite the experience the service, food, and dancers were amazing. Definitely a place to check out. Love the live entertainment."

  • "The place is a real energetic place with live music and dance. The food was good too, the tapas plates are filling. The only problem was I took my pregnant wife there and it was too noisy for her and we couldn't have a proper conversation."

  • "Great experience, place noisy but flamenco show is nice"

  • "I had been here before with friends and wanted to come back. The best dish I had was the Potatas Brava. The shrimp in garlic was good also. But the crab cakes needed more sauce. They were dry. The real disappointment was the lamb skewers. The meat was tough and the rice was cold. Not just cold from sitting out but cold right out of the fridge."

  • "Had a great time and the dancing was awesome as usual!!"

  • "Good selection of tapas and larger dishes. Sangria is nice and can order by the pitcher. A little noisy, but not too bad. Good location for event downtown, convenient for meal prior to Toyota Center and House of Blues events. We are able to get and out (with reservation) in less than a hour."

  • "Service was slow and unnatentive. Some food had to be sent back as it was undercooked and some served cold. Haven't written it off yet as the ambience was good - maybe just an off night. "

  • "Tapas were good. We had all seafood since it was the last day of lent garlic shrimp were definitely the best thing we ordered. Tres leches was a little disappointing, could of been sweeter. Entertainment was pretty blah. Both of the dancers looked like they were just there like they had been every night. There was no draw to the crowd and the first set did not make us want to stay for the second. We still enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Would we go back? Yes, but more likely to try a different tapas restaurant with a better vibe. "

  • "Andalucia Tapas restaurant & Bar in Houston, TX. was an AMAZING experience, the waitress Lia was great and the Flamenco performers were fantastic. It was our first time there so we had some questions that our waitress Lia took care of. I even had a special request for my entree and it was met without a flinch. When the tapas began to arrive the aroma was unbelievable but the not as unbelievable as the amazing flavor of these foods. The show was so engaging we forgot for a moment we were Not in Seville, Spain. We had an unforgettable evening! Will I do it again? In a heartbeat! Olé! "

  • "My wife and I ate there this last Friday night for Valentines day. This was our second time there and my wife really enjoys the music show and the food. I grew up in Spain and moved here in 1982, so I am well aware of what Spanish food should look like and taste like. My mother was also a flamenco instructor and I took lessons as a child so I know what a flamenco show should look like. So that being said, I would have to say that this place is as close to being in Spain as you can get! Good food and great atmosphere!"

  • "We chose to eat at Andalucía before seeing a show at the House of Blues. It was amazing! My husband and I had 5 different tapas and each one was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "I lived in El Puerto De Santa Maria, Andalucia, for 3 years and loved every moment, so much that I still travel to Spain every summer. This restaurant was authentic in its spirit and food. It is a piece of Southern Spain in the heart of Houston, TX."

  • "We picked up out-of-town family late at the airport and needed to find something spunky for late-night eats. Andalucia Tapas Bar came up with good prior reviews on Open Table so we figured we 'd try it out. A large party was underway, but we were seated an appropriate distance away and still enjoyed the music and show. The guitarist and accompanying percussionist were out of control! So lively and good! It was a hit with our group...and then the food! A long list of small plates well prepared and swiftly served. Everything was delicious! The one compaint: lighting was too bright and cafeteria-like. With all the amenities in pace, the ambience was just a click away."

  • "If you like great food and entertainment... This place will meet that criteria. Had dinner with friends, food was great and the sangria was marvelous.. Best of all was the flamenco dancing, what a rich tradition. Will go back very soon ..."

  • "The food at Andalucía was actually pretty good, but I found the ambiance was overwhelming. The restaurant was featuring live performers on the night of our reservation, and the music level was so loud that it was difficult to hold a conversation with others at my table, or even to convey our order to the waitstaff. I think in a larger group setting, this might have been more fun, but for a small or intimate dinner, it was kind of terrible."

  • "Great Tapas, & Service! They have a Flamenco Group that performs twice a week. The Classical Guitarist is second to NONE. Brilliant performance."

  • "As a mostly vegetarian it was nice to have several options, when it got busy service was a little slow, but nothing to really complain about. I would go back for sure.I did think food was a overpriced, but quality was excellent."

  • "We really enjoyed the food. The tapas format allowed us to enjoy a wide variety of dishes, all of which were fantastic. We also shared some of the paella which was fantastic as well. My wife is a vegan and she was able to find a couple of dishes that she enjoyed very much as well. We went on a Thursday night and there were a couple of really good musicians playing Spanish music."

  • "This was such a wonderful event. I was introduced to Don Julio tequila a few years and love the smoothness of this drink. So I was over the moon with excitement about Andalucia hosting this event. The food was excellent and the drinks were paired perfectly with each course. The facilitator for the event was very knowledgable and engaging, making every feel comfortable with questions about Don Julio. The waitstaff was very attentive and efficient. I definitely plan to visit Andalucia's again."

  • "Don't get into downtown Houston often but will definitely be going back to Andalucia. The staff was friendly, helpful and charming. They gave us great recommendations for creating a Tapas platter. The food was delightful and the sangria: WOW! We got there early in order to get to the symphony on time so it had not filled up and we missed the flamenco entertainment. Look forward to seeing that on our next visit."

  • "My friend and I ordered 3 tapas dishes. Crabcakes were ok- kind of bland. The shrimp with garlic was basically garlic with a side of shrimp. The chicken wings were cooked well but had no seasoning whatsoever. The wings also came out 20 minutes after the other stuff despite the fact that we told the server we were in a slight rush to make a show. She then told us the wings took so long because we switched tables after we ordered and it confused the kitchen. The reality was that she was the confused one and not paying attention. It wasnt even busy. Furthermore, if switching tables really was the issue then why did we get our other items on time? This place was a major disappointment. Bad service, bland food."

  • "Used link on site to go to apple maps for directions. Took us to an industrial area under 59 instead of downtown. After a couple of turn arounds and using a different map app, we found it. I had been there before on a previous trip to Houston. This time I was taking colleagues and was disappointed that it took an extra 30 mins to find the place. But they quickly forgave me when we had our food. It was fun sharing all the wonderful hot tapas dishes and pizza."
