A word from Andaluca
Andaluca, located in downtown Seattle, is a nationally recognized culinary oasis. Resonating with the romance of the Mediterranean, its food and design have been a winning combination since 1996. Throughout the handsome space, mahogany mill work, hand painted murals and plush, deep-toned fabrics work together to conjure up a sun-baked Mediterranean grotto.
Begin your meal at Andaluca with a selection from an array of tapas-inspired sharable plates and pintxos.
One of the hottest restaurants in downtown Seattle, Andaluca features fresh seasonal Northwest foods influenced by the flavors of the Mediterranean. Chef Sarah Lorenzen combines strong and aromatic tastes that complement, rather than overpower.

Andaluca is a good Spanish restaurant but the interior design needs a bit of an update. Food was great, especially the lamb pasta. Wine list is decent as are the cocktails. An evening very well spent.

It's a bit difficult to get to at 6:00PM on a busy Seattle workday, but it is worth the difficulty. Valet service allows no fuss once you get there. The service was excellent without being imposing. The Restaurant Week menu was varied enough for both of us and the food rose up to the impressions we formed reading the menu. The Chocolate Volcano Cake was amazing. A wonderful evening.

My wife and I have been coming to Andaluca for a number of years. We live in Tacoma and when we travel to Seattle for theater, opera, shopping (especially at Christmas) or a special occasion (perfect for anniversary) this is our place. We have tried most of the top-end restaurants in Seattle over the years but now it's exclusively dinner at Andaluca (sometimes brunch when we are staying at the Mayflower Park Hotel). Andaluca has a marvelous chef and staff and the meals are an experience to be savored. It is the perfect place to entertain small groups and you can have a quiet intimate conversation with that special person. No cost valet parking is an added bonus especially if you are attending an event before or after dinner.

It's been several years since I visited Seattle, and Andaluca was on my list of restaurants I wanted to revisit. The menu is great, many small plates in addition to entrees. Ate here twice during our stay and one night we shared an assortment of small plates, the other night we split the paella. The food and service are exceptional.

Almost ever dish we had was shiny from oil or butter, and the dishes were not very distinct. Portions were small, and nothing was notable or exceptional. We were among the first for dinner, but we had to wait a long time for our meal. Apparently our order didn't go through the computer the first time. Once our waiter noticed, they did provide us two free dishes while we waited. As for the food, not sure what the rave is about. We will say that the staff and ambiance made up for a great deal of mediocre food, nevertheless, with so many restaurants in Seattle, we won't go back to this one.

This is definitely a pricey restaurant! Everything we ate was delicious...including the bread. The wait staff were friendly, helpful, attentive, and accommodating. Our allergies were taken seriously and dishes were adjusted accordingly. We had several small plates, and I shared an entree. Having just small plates may make the cost more affordable, but the lamb we had was not to be missed!

Andaluca was a lovely way to start our "mom's night out" and we so appreciated the service we received. The food was excellent, the wine delicious and if only we had time for dessert! We also appreciated the complimentary parking that included time for the show at the 5th Avenue- a true plus for eating at this charming downtown restaurant. This was the first time eating here for all of us but definitely not the last!

Food and service are unbelievable. I have tried several things here and they are all exquisite. I cannot recommend one over the other. The service is fantastic as well. And the ambiance makes it a romantic place to come if you need romantic. But if you don't need romantic, you can sit by some tables at the windows. Do not let the fact that it's a hotel restaurant fool you. It's one of the best restaurants in downtown Seattle.

We had a lovely dinner for two at Andaluca. I enjoyed the beet and goat cheese salad and had the grilled halibut. I asked for extra sauce after my fish arrived because the dish was dry without the sauce. With the sauce it was fantastic! My husband had the chicken and the skin was crispy while the chicken was tender and juicy. We both had dessert - we enjoyed ourselves and will be going back!

and ordered the same dishes! I liked the paella and my fiance liked the grilled halibut so much that we returned for a second round of each. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Seattle in our opinion. Better than Aqua, Palisade, and even Daniel's Broiler, in our opinions. Seattle has some outstanding dining, so there is much competition and these guys won our vote for best restaurant in the city of Seattle.

The calamari was light, very fresh and tender - delish! The paella was better than the dish I had in Barcelona! Fresh seafood, beautiful presentation and tasty rice dish! The corn risotto was delicious and full of vegetables. We had the sauteed kale and it was fresh and delicious with golden raisins and pine nuts. This restaurant was very convenient walk from Grand Hyatt and surrounding hotels. Great ambiance!

This is one of our favorite places for dinner in Seattle. It's quiet, cozy, and has a versatile menu including small plates and full entrees. The wine list is interesting and appealing. The service is friendly and unobtrusive. I've been there twice this week. The first time, my husband and I took our 11 year-old grandson. The waiter was very kind and helpful in suggesting something that appealed to the grandson, and we all had a very pleasant time. The second time, a co-worker and I had a great visit. She had the salmon, and I had the halibut. It was perfect. If you are looking for a hot spot with a vibrant bar scene, this is not the place. If you want good food in a friendly, intimate setting don't miss Andaluca.

Excellent service and food. Food presentation was excellent. Pricey especially with the addition of the high Washington sales tax. Had indicated on my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday but was not acknowledged by the staff. Also had breakfast as was a guest in the hotel - food was okay, not outstanding, scone was dense and too sweet for my taste. No description on the menu for the scone. I would not return when in Seattle again.

My wife and I went to Andaluca for our wedding anniversary. It was a very nice experience. At our 6:00 PM reservation time we were the second table occupied out of just a handful of available. It may be bigger than I think, but if I had to guess, I'd say there are about 20 tables and a small bar. Part way through the dinner the place filled out without me even realizing it. The atmosphere was calm and classy. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The professional service was no less than you would expect from the finest restaurants. The difference was the chef came to our table to discuss options for allergies. That put the service over the top. The server was awesome as well. Food was great. Def eating here again.

Our server(McColm?) definitely knew what "service" means. She knew that we were going to be sharing entrees and we were originally seated in a small booth. But, before our entrees came another larger booth became available. She suggested moving us to the larger booth so we had a bit more room for the dishes that we were going to share. To cap off the great service, she asked us if we had the valet park our car, validated our parking and even made sure the valet brought up the car so we did not have to wait for it when we left the restaurant.

We went for an anniversary celebration but it was too hot for a full meal. We each orders 2 small plates (... OK, so one of us had the irresistable Meyer Lemon Cake with fresh strawberry garnish, too..) and every bite made our tongues smile. Complimentary glasses of champagne and crusty bread with homemade hummus preceeded the meal. Our waitresses was helpful, approachable and efficient without being our new BFF. I don't know why we don't visit Andaluca more often; it's convenient, the food is top quality for a reasonable price and there is a choice of menu items that are "just what you're looking for" whether you are grabbing a quick bite before the theatre or want to linger over a variety of good food and drink for a couple of hours.
