  • "Our server(McColm?) definitely knew what "service" means. She knew that we were going to be sharing entrees and we were originally seated in a small booth. But, before our entrees came another larger booth became available. She suggested moving us to the larger booth so we had a bit more room for the dishes that we were going to share. To cap off the great service, she asked us if we had the valet park our car, validated our parking and even made sure the valet brought up the car so we did not have to wait for it when we left the restaurant."

  • "We went for an anniversary celebration but it was too hot for a full meal. We each orders 2 small plates (... OK, so one of us had the irresistable Meyer Lemon Cake with fresh strawberry garnish, too..) and every bite made our tongues smile. Complimentary glasses of champagne and crusty bread with homemade hummus preceeded the meal. Our waitresses was helpful, approachable and efficient without being our new BFF. I don't know why we don't visit Andaluca more often; it's convenient, the food is top quality for a reasonable price and there is a choice of menu items that are "just what you're looking for" whether you are grabbing a quick bite before the theatre or want to linger over a variety of good food and drink for a couple of hours."

  • "I selected this restaurant for the location near the 5th Ave. theater. There were four of us and we elected to go the tapas route and try several things. All the dishes were tasty with a nice presentation. Our server was very nice and attentive. It was a great find and I would happily go back next time I am in Seattle."

  • "Got a group of people to attend, it was a nice atmosphere and since we were there early (6pm) it was fairly quiet (tuesday also). The food was really good, the service was great. They are known for their halibut and paella from what they stated -- the halibut looked very good, however the paella had a bit too much salt -- the portion was great but salty, salty. would probably recommend the pork or halibut."

  • "I asked for a quiet booth via Open Table since it was our first date. The message clearly was passed along to the wait-staff. We were given the best table in the house. Our server was amazingly attentive while being simultaneously non-invasive. Service was prompt. The small plates menu gave us the opportunity to share several choices together which facilitated the romantic vibe. The beet salad was tasty and presented beautifully. The risotto on the entree side was spit for us without even asking which was so nice. The wine list by the glass was diverse to allow both of us plenty of freedom to find a great glass to pair with our meal. It was the start of a wonderful evening. We'll be back!"

  • "We had dinner here with a guest who is allergic to Gluten. Generally the understanding of this food allergy, consequences and impact to a restaurant's menu choices has been a poor experience in Seattle which surprised me. This was not the case at Andaluca. The food was nothing short of amazing, our server, Chris, was sensitive and knowledgeable on Gluten free choices and we did not feel at all like we were missing out on anything as a result. I will definitely be returning and if you eat here without trying the Paella and the cheeky take on a hot dog, gourmet style, you are seriously missing out."

  • "Great food, sweet but not well informed service. Arrived somewhat frazzled after fighting Saturday traffic. Server was quick to come to the table and very pleasant but had to ask the bartender which sherry was the driest. Took a long time to finally get my drink, but from there, both food and service were superb. It was very warm out that night, so I chose soup --a wonderful mushroom with a very earthy flavor and just a garnish of cream and two small plates--beets and kale. Food was substantial and not overly filling, both fresh and savory. My companion also had the beets (neither of us was willing to share) and a small plate crab tower, which she said was fabulous. We finished by splitting a sorbetto--loved it!"

  • "Two friends and I went to Andaluca for a pre-theater dinner...and it was a very nice experience! Our server, Quin (sp?), was excellent and made some great recommendations about the menu. Each of us had an starter, a cocktail and an entree. The only thing I would ding "down" was my cocktail. I ordered a Moscow Mule, and I don't begrudge them that they didn't have a copper mug. But the cocktail itself was only so-so. I didn't order another. On the flip side, I had a great starter salad of butter lettuce, avocado and citrus. It was very good! Then I topped it off with a nice dish of Paella. It was chock full of seafood and meets - excellent flavors!"

  • "My daughter had recommended Andaluca to us without knowing we were staying at the Mayflower. We loved it so much we ate dinner there twice during our short stay in Seattle. The food and drinks were fantastic, I especially liked the soups, small plates and the Downtown Manhattan (very creative). Our fish entree's were cooked just right. The wait staff were wonderful. My only regret was that we only had enough room after dinner to share one dessert. Oh well, one more reason to go back to Seattle."

  • "Andaluca provides a high standard from which to judge others. Everything from reservations, to seating, to decor, service, presentation, and paying the bill were as one would wish. Service was attentive but not overbearing. The menu selection had a variety of choices but not exhausting. Wine list was the same with some good choices. The food was well presented and tasty, felt healthy and didn't disrupt later. The noise level in a full room was as expected but sound absorption was good, no bouncing of sound. The decor provided soothing quieting colors. As a first time experience, I would hope that it will be repeated next time."

  • "Andaluca was enjoyed by all 4 of us during Restaurant Week Spring 2014. Their complimentary valet parking was a great feature since it's in a busy downtown area, but the food & service were what really made us happy we chose them to be a part of our evening. I had a Spring Risotto, which was a lovely bright green & arrived piping hot. Everyone else ordered the salmon, and some picky salmon lovers (all excellent NW cooks so they know how to judge) were very happy with their meals. I will definitely return!"

  • "Traffic made us a little late for our reservation, so we called while sitting on I-5 South to let them know we'd be late. No problem. Once seated, we told our server that we had to get over to Benaroya within the hour. Again, no problem. We ordered about 7 small plates, all of which came out beautifully on the plates and shared them around. The brussels sprouts roasted with harissa were amazing. Actually, everything we had was delicious. My husband and I shared the pot de creme and the kids shared the lemon cake for dessert...yum! And, we were able to walk the three blocks to get to will call well before the show started."

We were ignored for awhile and when we caught the waiter's attention to ask for menus and water we were told they were out of menus and glasses???? Crazy! Once we got our meals my "panzanella" salad was just a normal salad with a couple of small croutons and my salmon was overcooked."

  • "Seattle restaurant week is a perfect way to try a new place. We went early to make a show and the staff timed it just right so we had a wonderful dinner finishing just at the right time. Everything about the meal was as good as could be; one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have had and we go out a lot. The three course meal was wonderful, but the small-plate menu looked so varied and good that we will come back soon for sure."

I ordered the paella which was a huge disappointment - the rice was not the right consistency and it was bland and lacking flavor. The server was great, though, and the appetizers were good. For the rave reviews I had read elsewhere I was just a bit underwhelmed."

Even though the restaurant was packed; our waiter was attentive, friendly and we felt very welcomed! The food was delicious. The clams and the salad appetizers were very good. We all ordered the halibut entree and were very pleased with presentation,quality and quantity….a very generous serving. The wine list had good reasonably priced options. Definitely going back!"

When looking for a dinner spot before seeing The Lion King, made choice after checking out web site and discovering that they offered Complimentary Valet for dinner and show. So glad that we went ~ Loved the atmosphere, service was exceptional and very considerate for our time frame. Food was amazing and very presentable. Valet service was a breeze through the connected Mayflower Park Hotel. We loved it and definitely recommend Andaluca! Sorry didn't make it back for Restaurant Week ~ "
