We have been visiting Anatolia's
for several years now and always enjoy the experience. The food is very flavorful and always prepared perfectly. The staff and friendly and very helpful when explaining the menu to friends or family we bring along. Our toddler also loves going here. The hummus and pita are her favorites but even the steak and beef kebabs get a fair amount of attention. She also likes the staff who always treat her well and give her a balloon before we leave. All around a fun and enjoyable restaurant for an authentic Turkish meal."

The owners of Anatola have opened
up a French restaurant nearby, and I can't help from wondering if they've taken Anatola's best chefs with them? Dinner this past Sunday evening was well below par with the food having been the most mediocre I can remember in a long time. One thing I've noticed about this restaurant over the years is that the quality of food comes and goes between being absolutely spectacular to incredibly mediocre. This leads me to believe that there is a lack of consistency in chefs. When it was one of the cheaper ethnic cuisines in town, it didn't matter. Now that prices seem to continually climb with food quality continuing to decline, I'm inclined to dine elsewhere."

I love this restaurant! I've been
a fan since it opened. This is the place I choose to bring out of town friends first. The food is consistently perfectly cooked and always delicious It's never overly spiced yet never bland. The service is well timed yet still friendly but not overly so. I've never brought anyone here that did not enjoy the food and the experience. I have one friend I have a hard time taking anywhere else! You won't regret this choice."

My husband and I have eaten here
several times and have never had a bad meal. Their lamb kebabs are delicious and tender. The fish of the day is always a good choice. They have reasonably priced wines. We especially like the fact that the atmosphere is quiet, which is unusual for most restaurants. The service is also friendly and professional. Be sure to try the turkish feta. It is a less salty and creamier version than greek. You can also buy it in a can from the restaurant."

I've been wanting to try Anatolia
for a while, being the foodie I am and I was not disappointed. We started out with the appetizer sampler, which included the hummus, stuffed grape leaves, and feta fried in filo dough with a rose dipping sauce. The only thing I didn't really care for were the stuffed grape leaves--they were a bit different than I'm used to (traditional dolmades) but they were the Turkish version and I appreciated trying them. I had the eggplant stuffed with lamb, which was great. I'm not a huge lamb fan because sometimes it's a little too gamey for me, but it was excellent. My husband had the tilapia which he enjoyed. The portions were large, and I wish I had some our food wrapped up--we were too full to have dessert"

We really had a great time at
Anatolia. It was recommended by friends and we were very pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was very good and slightly formal. Food was excellent (and a great value) and we had a delightful waiter (Greg) who gave us special attention and did not try to hurry us through our meal. Ethnic food is not too common in Nashville so never know what to expect when trying a new place, but this was certainly a gem. Will definitely go back."

We ordered the special dessert
first (before our lunch) which takes 15 minutes to prepare. It arrived after 1.5 hours. It took them 45 mins. to bring some of us the salads-nothing interesting about them. The "Turkish" food did not have the spices and herbs that I have had before. I don't know what happened as in a previous visit two years ago, it was very nice. I ordered the tilapia. After 50 minutes of waiting, the server said they did not have it. So I ordered trout. Very, very bland. I also sampled the chicken stuffed with spinach. Very bland. The best parts of this meal: sometimes there was warm bread. The server did not charge us for the dessert. There is nothing at all to draw us back (group of 6)."

Whenever I want to have a quiet,
relaxed conversation with a friend I always choose Anatolia. I love every way they prepare their lamb dishes and the rice pudding is perfect little finisher. The wait staff is the best I know. The last visit was on the day after Christmas and the pack was absolutely packed but even then I could still chat with my friend and hear everything they said. Great for lunch but even better for dinner."

If you want a genuine Middle
Eastern food experience, I highly recommend this neighborhood gem. The ezme must be sampled; it's is an incredibly unique appetizer featuring crushed bell pepper, tomatoes, etc. Anatolia probably does lamb the best of all their dishes, and all of the stews have been simmered for hours; perfect for a cold winter evening. The Turkish red wine goes perfectly with most dishes and is made with four uniquely different grapes providing the wine lover with a unique wine experience. Prices have steadily increased with popularity, but portions are very ample so don't resist asking for a doggie bag."
