I love this place. I only go here with close friends because we just sit back, drink wine, and enjoy the whole dinner experience like we have all the time in the world. While the lunch is good as well, it's really all about the dinner menu and night time ambience. The menu changes every so often, but certain staples are always present (like the fresh baked chocolate chip macadamia cookies, and the vegetable tempura...right now it's okra). Overall I can't get enough of this place, the wait staff is very attentive and friendly and the music is always fitting. Check it out if you enjoy a twist on Asian cuisine in Cary.

We have eaten at An several times and always been pleased but this last visit was a mixed bag. A group of four, we ordered 3 appetizers to share. The fried okra was terrific as were the vietnamese sausage rolls. The pork dumplings, on the other hand, had a good flavor but were rubbery. The sea bass remains excellent. But, the new addition of chicken and waffles had nothing to recommend them. The chicken was overcooked and dry and the excellent cherry sauce sparsely applied. The waffles were interesting but added nothing to the dish. For $27, it was greatly overpriced.

Our dinner was a celebration of two birthdays for our grandchildren - ages 13 and 17. We chose five appetizers to share, which gave the kids an opportunity to try different flavors. The presentation was so impressive the kids took photos to post. The main courses were equally as wonderful and all was devoured. The deserts, too, were spectacular. An is highly recommended!

The food itself was great, but I was disappointed in the portion of it. After eating a main dish and appetizer (cost about $50), I was still not full. I've been to many Japanese restaurants in NYC with the similar price range as An Cuisine, but their food quality was amazing with the satisfying portion.

I've eaten at An several times and have always enjoyed the experience. However, while the food was excellent during my most recent visit, the over zealous wait staff -- from filling water, bringing palate cleansers and just generally hovering around us to fold our napkins if we moved -- left a sour taste in my mouth. An is not an inexpensive place, and this was a special occasion with my significant other. We felt as if we didn't have a moments peace! I'm writing this review in the hopes that it was an off night or that the restaurant will make sure their staff recognizes when people are in the throws of conversation.

My husband, my son, and I dined last night at An. We had requested the chef's tasting menu with the wine pairings. I had alerted the restaurant to my husband's allergies, and we were completely delighted at how beautifully they responded to our wishes. The dishes that had ingredients he was allergic to were replaced for him by similar and equally wonderful dishes, and each was given its own perfect wine pairing. The care that went into picking out what in many ways was a second chef's tasting menu for him were extraordinary. The restaurant also provided my son with an alternate dessert, simply because he didn't care for one of the ingredients. Absolutely fantastic food, incredible wines, and service that can't be matched.

I hosted a business dinner at An and it went well. Not being a Raleigh resident, I didn't know where to hold the dinner and relied on someone in our party to choose. I was pleased with her choice. The food was very good. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, which allowed us to talk. Also the noise level was good, so it wasn't too noisy for us to talk. One of the people in our group also mentioned that they have a great brunch here. I would definitely return to this restaurant on a future visit to Raleigh.

First, our food was delicious. The pork buns, sea bass & short ribs were the winners of the night. The wine list was impressive. However, the service was poor. Our waitress never said much, we waited awhile for our white wine. We asked for the sommelier when we ordered and we waited 20 minutes then the waitress said, "he is too busy." He never even came over to check on the wine that we ended up selecting on our own.The waitress never checked on our entrees. Then when we ordered the molten chocolate cake (allow 12 min. for) the waitress came over after 25 min. & said "it'll be a bit longer"), 40 min later our dessert arrived. Never an apology&the dessert was not good. Unfortunately, the service was so bad it left a bad taste in our mouth.

Very imaginative menu but portions were skimpy. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive but her assistant could not even hit the water glass or clean up the spill after she missed it. I was also bothered by the fact that the reception staff was all Asian, the sushi preparation staff was all Japanese, but the waitstaff was all Caucasian. The food however was quite excellent.

We had a wonderful meal at An. Each of us ordered a different appetizer to share (we learned that we could have done with just 2 appetizers). Similarly we each ordered a different entrée and again, shared with one another. Each meal had a distinct flavor, and all were very enjoyable. After such a great meal, we will too full to order dessert, but I suspect the selection and flavor would not have disappointed.

I've eaten at An twice now and it has not disappointed. The first time, I sat at the sushi bar and watched their sushi chefs create the most beautiful art from delicious food. The second time we were sat in the main dining room. Both times our service was impeccable. They offer amuse-bouche between every course. Their wine list is impressive. Food-wise, whether you go the sushi route or the traditional entree route, you will not be disappointed. The food had subtle twists you will not find in a typical Asian cuisine. Styled in a chic, modern way, the restaurant is romantic enough for date night, but open enough for a large group setting. We loved our experience and will be back again and again!

We have lived in the area since 1992 and had never gone to An. When it originally opened, someone told me that it was overpriced and not worth it. Unfortunately that opinion stuck with me over the years. I recently got a gift card to An and decided to use it for my wife's 50th birthday--we were both blown away! Everything was to perfection. Sushi, pork buns, entrees (the Sea Bass is amazing!), dessert, even espresso! Our waiter was one of the best we have ever had, informative, friendly and very knowledgeable. It was just a great experience all the way around. Next time I will try the patio, it looks fantastic!

After trying many restaurants over the past few months being new to the area, I have found one that is a definite keeper. An's food presentation, service, and ambience are top notch. Yes, it is a little pricey but so much care and thought goes into the food preparation and presentation, it is worth it, I believe. The server was outstanding and knew the ingredients of all menu items. The bus staff and management constantly made rounds to make sure every guest was attended to. We loved the décor and placement of tables and the excellent outdoor dining space. We are looking forward to our next visit to An's!
