College Station isn't exactly the dining capital of the world but Amico Nave provides you with a dining experience comparable to what you might find in the upscale part of a big city. Everything I tasted was simply heavenly. I highly recommend the Norwegian Salmon and the Bacon Shrimp Diablo, as well as the cheesecake. They also have gluten-free pasta available which is a nice touch! Their bar service was excellent as well, and some of their drinks come in very generous serving sizes! This locally owned and operated restaurant will serve the area well with an upscale air but with affordable fare, authentic Italian dishes and a wine list that ranges from comfortable favorites to classic vintages! The owner and manager both were in attendance and were very interested in our visit, warm and friendly with a genuine intrest in our opinions. Very nice separate bar area. Good ambiance and decor with some photos of the owner's Italian ancestors. Good moderately priced wine list. Wide variety typical Italian menu featuring family recipes.
