A word from Amici Ristorante
Amici Ristorante is locally owned and operated by Dave & Diane Carpenter and George & Patty Donato. Together they have run the current restaurant for some time as Mammoni’s Italian Restaurant with much success and thought it was time to give the establishment an appropriate name to reflect the story behind the two couples lifelong friendship.

Since its opening the restaurant has managed to gain some local notoriety, becoming known for offering authentic and innovative Italian dishes. The menu includes grilled steaks, seafood, veal and pastas and a wide selection of wines. Complimented by a full service bar, they are confident you’ll enjoy your dining experience in Amici’s comfortable and moderately upscale setting.

Diner Reviews
  • "Had a lovely dinner Saturday night, although I asked for risotto instead of the mashed potatoes and veggies and was charged separately for the risotto. I did not want a big bowl of it. I wanted a small portion. So although I paid for the mashed potatoes and veggies and didn't get them. I was charged for the risotto.. Was not happy about that and the waiter would not take if off my check. I gave them one less star this time for that."

  • "This was our first time at Amici. We shared two appetizers between three people - both well prepared and tasty, although the flatbread could have been done a little more for added crunch. All the entrees were good, but I thought mine (chicken mellanzana) was a little heavy on the salt. The rolls served were a disappointment for the quality of food served. We did not order dessert, but I ordered a cappuccino which was a total miss - no froth - just what appeared to be milk mixed in. When we entered, there were local musicians unloading into the adjoining bar, which I gathered, was owned by the same establishment. Through the nearby kitchen door, we could hear the drummer banging on his set during their setup - not very professional."

  • "Ordered the daily special veal chop. It was supposed to be medium but was overdone and tasted awful and it was meager portion. Then we got the bill it was $36. What an overpriced dinner I would recommend elsewhere for that price."

  • "This restaurant has been sold on and off again and the last time we went it was not good but this new name and new everything has saved this location. We have been looking for somewhere to have our rehearsal dinner for awhile and the second you walk in the door is is so calming and romantic. The service was unlike anything I have ever had before even in 5 star restaurants. A little pricey and you dont get a salad but it was well worth it. I highly recommend the blackened chicken and shrimp in the roasted red pepper cream sauce= AMAZING"

  • "Amici's in Morton, PA is the perfect neighborhood restaurant...a great menu, friendly service, quiet and intimate space, and a limoncello cake that is worth every calorie! I am a foodie and Amici definitely makes the list."

  • "Who would have expected such an exceptional restaurant in the heart of Morton? When we visit this area, we used to go to Media, PA which has many notable restaurants. But once we tried Amici, we have a new favorite. The anti pasta is fabulous for only $12. Every meal we have had has been outstanding, and the wine is very reasonably priced and excellent. Not a bad thing to say at all about this wonderful restaurant!"

  • "I went there early so it was a little quiet, but the staff were friendly and the food was well above expectations, I would go back again."

  • "It's in our neighborhood, we've taken many others with us often, and not one of us has ever had a bad meal. Delicious food, generous portions and always piping hot! They recently updated the menu and we all had something different. My husband's salmon over shrimp risotto was excellent. Our son's veal brandi was wonderful and my veal and scallops was to die for. The server even commented that there was not a morsel left on all 3 of our plates. The salads are also so fresh and I heard excellent comments about the minestrone soup."

  • "Found ourselves in the area and found Amici on Open Table. Place was very quiet - no reservation was needed. Resturant was nice though. We had lots of attention initially but our waitress was not so good. Salad was terrific - we ordered both the Ceasar as well as the Green and the small one was huge! We ordered the Chicken Marsala and the Create your own pasta. Both were generous servings and delicious. Rolls were cold but I asked them to heat them and they did. Definitely would recommend."

  • "This was our 1st visit to Amici's and the experience was good. The service was excellent and attentive. The food was not overwhelming. Our Caesar Salad was soaked with dressing. The chicken/penne pasta dish was smohered in so much mozarella it was almost impossible to cut, though very tasty."

  • "Have enjoyed every visit. The broccoli rabe is excellent."

  • "We had a party of 7 for our son's birthday and were seated as soon as we arrived. The service, drinks and food were wonderful, as has been the case on previous visits. Can't say enough about this place. Always a go-to when we in the area."

  • "Food was delicious including the salads. Wait staff was attentive (filled our wine glasses) and well versed in the menu. I had requested a romantic table so we could quietly celebrate our anniversary and they reserved a nice window table for us. The manager also came by to wish us well. Nice neighborhood restaurant with high dining standards!"

  • "The food was fantastic! We took my older in-laws and 11 and 9 year old children. We were all happy and had a wonderful time. Their sauces are out of this world! "

  • "The menu is a bit overworked with all types of extravagent entries that don't quite fill the bill. Would be better as a local pasta house with the basic Italian dishes. My veal dish had a very sugary (?) flavor to it and the veal was overcooked. Have eaten here twice now - servers are always very nice and attentive but the food is a bit disappointing."

  • "Very friendly staff. Service was great. Always nice to be greeted by the chef and the owners. Joe, our waiter was awesome! He made good recommendations off the menu. He was very friendly and on top of things. Was there at the table in a timely manner when we needed or wanted something. Even some of the other staff help wait on us. The Tap Room next door is always a fun place to hang out and unwind after dinner or any other night. Serving staff is always awesome there as well. "

  • "We booked through Open Table. I definitely will not look at the menus they supply because we went to Amici looking forward to All u can eat crabs and found out that they hanged their menu moths ago and told Open Table but they never took the old one off the web."

  • ""…but it doesn't pour." I think Dorothy Parker said that, and that sums up how I feel about Amici. The food is really good. The service has been good, has been slow and inaccurate (everybody has an off night now and then), but always friendly. It's the ambience. Crowded and noisy."

  • "The service was awesome!! Our waitress was knowledgeable of the food explained everything with great detail. Our drinks were made perfectly and came quickly. The food on the other hand was poor. I got the catch of the day which was a sea bass on top of a salad, my date got the salmon. The portions were extremely small and bland. I have ate all over Springfield and Morton area and was not impressed at all."

  • "Had a very good meal here as a first timer and on a Saturday night at 7:30. Four of us sampled broadly on the menu and none was disappointed. A basic element in any Italian restaurant has to be the tomato or marinara sauce. These were delicious. Very tasty but not overly thick or salty. Blackend salmon was prepared perfectly, with a just right amount of blackening while retaining a moist core of the fish. Even the oil provided with the bread was one of the best I've experienced. Only complaint was the live music, which made it very difficult to talk or hear. Seems like a very loud sound system for a relatively small place."

  • "Went of a Sunday night. 3 chose the "pasta table". Very good idea. Allowed us to create our own combinations and small plates."

  • "Hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our time and dinner here. Nice menu options for varied pallets. The mushroom bisque was incredible. The catch of the day was done beautifully. Hubby had Gnocchi with Alfredo. The sauce was spot on. My Italian husband who is a meatball snob, actually liked theirs! That says a lot!!! Definitely will be going again."

  • "I had raviollis and meatballs and I thought it was good but the sause was a little too thick for my personal taste. I expectred the meatballs to be better given this was an Italian restaurant. My son had Chicken Parm thought the portion size was really large and the food was good. It was served over Penne and he asked if he could change it to angel hair but that was an extra $2 - we didn't get that. The salads were good and also a large size and the bread was fresh and warm. We would go back again."

  • "This place is like a diamond in the ruff. The service was fantastic, food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. This was the first time we went here for dinner and we loved it. We were searching for our new Italian place since the other restaurant closed down. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!!"

  • "We went for Valentine's the food selections were great. Our server kept the dishes coming without feeling rushed. Would go again."

  • "This restaurant fairs well on a normal night. The food is top notch and reasonably priced. Unfortuantely this Valentine's event was poorly planned. We were put upatairs at older tables and chairs. It was a constant problem with table wobbling. The food was okay not up to par for what it usually serves. Some of the food seemed to be frozen not fresh also they couldn't get the steak temperature correct. Later on you heard loud noises from the next door bar and just poor ambience overall. Once the check came I couldn't believe the price for the four course average evening. I have gone to old city restraunts for valentines day and had a much better all around and paid less than this. This might be our last visit to amici's."

  • "Amici is an amazing little local Italian spot that offers great food, service and ambience. Great place for couples or a place to get together with friends. The attached tavern, The Tap Room, makes it a great night out spot- eat, then head next door for drinks and entertainment."

  • "I travel a great deal and prefer an Italian restaurant that offers very good and unique food. It's hard to find. Amici Ristorante is one of those exceptions. It is easy to miss when you are looking for it in a congested area, but it is well worth finding. Their tomato sauce is very good. They are very accommodating and make sure that you have everything you need. I would highly recommend it."

  • "This is a true gem neighborhood resturant. The food was served nice and hot in a timely manner, the only complaint I have is the two of us were stuck in the middle table which is not comfortable, they should not even have this table. Our waiter Jim made up for it though, ask for him he is really nice."
