  • "For a place that takes reservations I think I was just expecting a little more. The ambience is pretty weak, with random colors and styles kind of slapped together. I love a good coal-oven pizza but these were just okay, thicker than the usual crispy pizza with big bubbles and charred edges that you get from coal-oven cooking. This pizza was basically beige all over. It wasn't bad but it wasn't that good. Kind of meh. I will not be back."

We made a reservation and were to be sat at a table right next to the kitchen, something we did not want to do in an already fairly loud restaurant. Overall it was a good experience."

Both appetizers and entrees were very slow to be served, although our servers were friendly and kept apologizing. We would come back as the food was very good, but we hope the delivery time of food to table improves."

  • "We arrived with our party of 6 at our reservation time & were immediately seated. Service was exceptional throughout the entire meal--very attentive. I must say that this was the first time in a long time that EVERYTHING we had was delicious and I would order each again. Particular favorites were the Quattro Formaggio pizza, Gorgonzola Gnocchi & the Carbonara. Of note, there are a lot of selections for vegetarians which is often hard to find. The Tiramisu was one of the best I've had in a long time. As I mentioned, the place was packed as it was Saturday night but I must commend the kitchen on a fantastic job of getting food out in such a timely manner. All in all this was an excellent dining experience with superb food & service."

We spent about 65 on food and drinks and 80 with tip. It overall was a really fun date night! I would totally come back with my girlfriends too!!"

The Valpolicella we chose was perfect. Our waitress was very attentive without being excessively so. One drawback: the noise level, which made it hard to have a conversation..."

Even our pizza-loving 11 year old opted to taste the pastas at the table and LOVED the marinara. Pizza was absolutely delicious (the fresh grated parmesan was a nice touch)."

The food is great prices are so so could be a few dollars less or a larger portion. the pizzas are great sometimes can be burnt but that's just the coal fired oven or the chef not watching the pizza closely."

  • "I Arrived about 30 minutes before my reservation and you could tell that everyone was getting ready for a busy night. Within the next 20 minutes, the restaurant filled up. After an initial hiccup of not asking if I needed a drink at the bar for about 5 minutes( bar was empty at time), everything else fell in line. We especially liked the Fried Oreos!! Definitely will be back"

  • "I introduced Amici to visiting friends this past friday night. Every aspect of our dinner was just right, from the way we were greeted through dessert. The menu offers an interesting array of authentic coal fired pizzas, salads, appetizers, pasta and coal oven roasted entrees. The food, service, atmosphere and specialty cocktails portray elevated professionalism with attention to detail. If your desire is pizza you'll enjoy full flavored crispy crust with premium ingredients. The pastas equal or better those i've ordered in the finest national restaurants; the veal chop is excellent. The fried oreo dessert with caramel gelato is a great finish. I could go on!"

  • "Amici's food was really good, we ordered the shrimp/crab martini, and they had lot's of both; the chicken wings, not your run of the mill buffalo wings and they didnt come with ranch dressing, which I applaud. They are baked and lightly seasoned, very tasty. Lastly we had a pizza, the one with the three meats, yum, yum. .I think the pizza's crust could have been cooked a little more but other than that it was pretty tasty. I must worn you though, it was SO LOUD i could barly hear my hubbys voice who was sitting just across from me. I would recommend going after 9pm, it started to clear out and was much, much more quiet. Although the waiter was vey nice the service was a bit slow. We will be back :)"

  • "My husband and I went with our 3-year-old. We split a Carni Italiane pizza and Penne alla Vodka pasta w/chicken and had plenty of leftovers. It was very good and my daughter also enjoyed watching the pizzas being made, especially when they'd toss the dough in the air. Even though I don't usually do desert, I was curious about the fried oreos I'd heard so much about - they were awesome, and I love the salted caramel gelato! Our server was very good but another definitely looked upset and was mumbling under his breath. Most seemed to be doing a good job. The manager/owner(?) walked around checking on us and other diners regularly but was not intrusive. We will definitely go back!"

  • "Calamari acceptable but tough. Chopped salad seemed to have been soaking in a poorly made salad dressing for too long. Wife didn't finish it. Veal parmigiana was simply bad - veal overcooked/partially burnt, cheese on top obviously two bland mozzarella sandwich slices, pasta overcooked, sauce heavy and over-seasoned with dried spices. Same sauce on spaghetti & meatballs suffering from same seasoning issues. No fresh ingredients anywhere. Service matched the food quality. Calamari went to the wrong table, bread took 1/2 hour, canned cheese for pasta delivered half-way through meal, 3 owners doing nothing but constantly asking how the food was but not focused on quality, and younger owner making my wife uncomfortable by touching her."

  • "Not your usual Nola Italian eatery walk in and seems like everyone knows each other. Owners are visable and engaging. The coal fired pizzas are tasty and imaginative "white clams" and a "rapini and sausage". Calamari taste as if you ordered from a trattoria in Napoli. Worth the visit."
