  • "The menu is a nice variety of salads, pastas, fish, chicken and steak. Cooked traditionally and very flavorful. Bar area is very nice with table and bar seating. Service was great - I think our waiter has been there for a long time. Huge wine cellar and nice ipad based wine list for easy ordering."

  • "Amerigo's is a great place to have a business discussion over dinner. The service was not intrusive, the restaurant was not noisy and no one was seated uncomfortably next to us. They space tables until the place starts filling up. We both thoroughly enjoyed our respected snapper and veal entrees and the marble cheesecake was divine."

  • "We had quite a few dishes and really enjoyed our experience. The digital wine menu was good, and the stand-out dish was the Linguini Pescatore with shrimp, crab meat, clams, mussels and scallops. The decor was traditional and very warm. I will be back."

  • "I am impressed with the Ipad wine list. It made ordering our wine fun and easy. I had the entire description of any wine on their list in my hand so I was able to select a bottle that really fit with my meal. Best steak I've had in a long time paired with an awesome merlot = satisfaction."

  • "Sat down to warm, fresh baked bread basket and a lovely oil and herb mix to dip it in. I had the Bruno Salad which was very crispy and tasty. The Snapper Amerigo's is cooked just right and very delicious. Service was good, as the restaurant was not full. I will visit again."

  • "From the greeting by the hostess, to the ambiance of the restaurant, to the beautiful view of the property through spacious windows, to the service to the food - all was outstanding and one of the best dining experiences we have had in Houston. I do not know what the problem is with those giving negative reviews. We were immediately shown to our seat, immediately the drink waiter was on hand with water and to take our drink order, the waiter was prompt friendly and knowledgeable. Our food arrived promptly, hot and it was DELICIOUS!! Make this your next stop, it is well worth the drive."

  • "We sat in the dining room on the raised side on the right when you walk in. I had the romano crust chicken with pasta and it was so good. Order that if you go. My guest had the house salad which she liked a lot bc the bleu cheese dressing was fresh and better than most other places. She ordered the lobster linguini, which I tasted, and it was rich and very flavorful."

  • "Amerigo's has long been one of The Woodlands' best restaurants, and it continues not to disappoint. It has an interesting and varied menu, excellent wine list and a wonderfully calm and quiet ambience. A dependable bet for a nice meal and experience."

  • "I had a great evening last night and wanted to share with you all. The restaurant is beautiful. I got a chance to tour the upstairs private dining space, since my wife is scouting a rehearsal dinner spot for our son. I was impressed with the space. They have about 5 different room options. Our dining experience was spot on. Kyle was great and my Romano Crusted Chicken was delicious! My wife had a very nice experience so we are heavily considering Amerigo's for the wedding rehearsal dinner."

  • "My wife and went to Amerigo's Grill for our 20th Wedding Anniv dinner and could not have been happier with our choice. the ambience was great with the live piano bar, the food was excellent (pricey but OK for a special occasion). They offered us free champagne for our Anniversary but we are not big drinkers... so instead (and without us asking) they brought us a desert wonderfully decorated with 'Happy Anniversary' written on it. The service was great (Louis was very helpful with the menu and suggestions and service). it was an evening we won't soon forget."

  • "The food was so delicious. I was surprised it wasn't busier. The service was great too. We went with one other couple and all of us left full and super satisfied. My husband and I bragged on them for days."

  • "A great dining experience. Split order of regular menu item looked like two full orders when served. The food was beautiful and delicious. Our server was efficient and attentive and his pleasant attitude made our experience relaxing. The two course Lunch Special was a winner which included wine at five dollar a glass."

  • "I took my partner here to celebrate a career milestone. I called in advance to let the restaurant know. When dessert came, they gave us a supplemental dessert with "Congratulations!" written on it. Everything was delicious – the wild boar and cioppino stood out -- and the service is impeccable. One of the woodlands best restaurants."

  • "from the moment we walked in the front door we were met with wonderful, welcoming people - the meal was outstanding - arguably one of the best we have ever eaten - combined with a beautiful setting and fantastic staff who added to the experience. There was nothing that needed improvement - it was a perfect evening. thank you to everyone at Amerigo's!"

  • "For the price range of this restaurant, I would in no way recommend it. First of all, the restaurant was very cold in temperature. I ordered a standard cocktail but after several minutes, the waiter explained that they were out of this liquor. There were specials but we only learned of them via overhearing another table's waiter explaining them. Those customers had been seated after we were seated. The restaurant did not have good ambiance so we asked if they could turn on some piped in music but after about ten minutes they explained the system was broken. The staff of the restaurant was in no way of the caliber of a restaurant purported to be one in the fine dining category."

  • "The food was very good, but not out-of-this-world. The service was great, but not excellent. I don't know, it's a good restaurant but I can't give it the highest marks. I was expecting a little more."

  • "Great place to dine as a group or for more romantic, intimate dinners. The food is outstanding and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. Amerigo's is tucked away and off the main commercial area of The Woodlands, which enhances it's charm. Wine selection is also excellent."

  • "I've been eating at Amerigo's for the last 15 years and experienced ups and downs in food quality. Unfortunately, based on my three most recent experiences (in the last four months) quality has/is on the downturn. That's not to say the food wasn't good, it was. It just wasn't of the quality it has been in the last several years."

  • "Though not surrounded by fancy architecture, or upscale shopping, this place is an exceptional dining experience. This is the nicest restaurants wife and I have ever been to, granted having three children doesn't afford us the option to dine lavishly very often. The food was innovative, delicious, and well presented. Our waiter, Sam, was also very friendly, and though he was a newer employee, he displayed a solid knowledge of the restaurant's offerings. I strongly recommend the snapper Amerigo's and the veal with figs (don't remember the exact name)."

  • "My husband had the Sea Bass from the menu and it was perfect, really: nicely crispy outside and cooked not a second past being hot throughout, this presentation displayed the essence of this noble fish. I had Papardelle & Scollops that were delicate and tasty, the pasta tasted fresh and delicious."
