  • "My fiancé and I have been labeled as "foodies" by our close friends but not sure we are true foodies because our wallet doesn't allow us to get too extravagant! We wanted to venture out of regular routine and found Amerigos while searching Trip Advisor. I'm glad we did!! We were celebrating a birthday and from the moment we arrived, we were treated like we were regulars. The hostess seated us right away and the service was impeccable. We tried 2 appetizers - the portobello mushroom and lobster ravioli. They were fantastic!! The entrees were equally impressive - very flavorful and fresh. Dessert was a perfect finish to a truly enjoyable meal and was complimentary! We will be back to try more menu options!"

  • "Went for our wedding anniversary dinner. Hostess who showed us to our table wasn't very welcoming. Our table had rose petals on it in recognition of our special occasion. It took a bit before we were greeted by our waiter, but after that he was attentive without being overbearing. Not offered a wine list. Appetizer of calamari - it could have been a bit more crispy but that is just a personal preference. Salad was barely dressed, in my opinion - could barely taste the dressing. Both my husband's and my main courses were terrific. We declined dessert. Were offered complimentary champagne for our anniversary. We have been to Amerigo's many times - it is our favorite spot for special occasions. And we will definitely return again."

  • "Our waiter was absolutely hilarious and perfectly fit for the job. He kept a us laughing, complimented us as a couple and stayed on top of all his tables. I definitely expected the food to taste better for paying as much as we did... I must say, I was a bit disappointed and walked away with a $150 tab! Unfortunately, our pallets have been impressed much more at that price elsewhere. The wine list was definitely impressive, but I stuck to glasses as many if the wine bottles exceeded $200-$300 in price! "

  • "We really enjoyed our Mother's Day Brunch at Amerigo's. The service was terrific. I had requested a table by the window on the first floor, and that is exactly where we were seated. I loved the rose petals on the table! The food was delicious, although I thought the Linguini with Lobster was very overpriced at $45.50 which is why I only gave it four stars. Also the restaurant was very noisy. We had to shout to hear each other. "

  • "This restaurant has been our go to place for birthdays and special occasions for years because of it's wonderful and inventive food, great presentation, good wines, nice ambiance, etc. However, the mother's day brunch was very disappointing. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict and sardou was bland and the seafood pasta was only average. I know it was busy, but this must have been a different chef. I guess we'll give the place another try sometime for dinner, but at their prices one can't afford to have a mediocre experience."

  • "Fine dining at its best. Our waiter, Sam, was one of the best waiters I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable about the wine list and has a great personality. The wine list itself is pretty extensive and has some very fine wines including at least 3 different "first growth" Chateaus from Bordeaux (Margaux, Haut-Brion and Lafite). All of the apps sounded spectacular but we opted for the Avocado Pancake and we were definitely not disappointed. One of the tastiest and most unique apps I have ever had. Everything we ate was fantastic from the salad to the sides to the entrees (salmon was incredible) and, of course, the dessert. It is about as expensive as you're going to see at a restaurant but well worth it. Highly recommended!"

  • "So I made a reservation and was greeted and seated promptly... We chose a bar table it was Friday night there was prom so the dining room was full of kids for prom... A few martinis started our evening... Followed by the shrimp cheesecake... HOLY YUMMO!!! Lobster bisque was good but a bit creamy and not enough lobster... Dinner Veal Nance and Filet Mignon... They were both PEREFCTLY COOKED AMD SEASONED... Asparagus and Mac and Cheese (it was ok a bit runny on the sauce and not very flavorful) Creme Brûlée for dessert was fantastic! I highly recommend here for dinner... My filet was so perfect it melted in your mouth it is pricey but well worth the money... I will be eating here regularly and telling people "

  • "I took my girlfriend to Amerigos for her birthday. Everything was wonderful until the appetizer landed on the table. We ordered the scallops and they tasted like a salt ball, I saw high blood pressure in my future and decided to send it back. The waiter was apologetic and we decided to give it another shot. The 2nd batch was cooked by the chef, better, but so not impressed at all. We also ordered the lobster bisque soup, not impressed. I've had VERY good lobster bisque soup and Amerigos' was just ok. I also ordered the expensive lobster linguini, I think they used all the salt in the scallops, lacked flavor. VERY DISAPPOINTED. My girlfriend ordered the file minion and it was AWESOME!!!! I will NEVER RETURN. I want a refund!! $$$$$$$$$"

  • "For the price range of this restaurant, I would in no way recommend it. First of all, the restaurant was very cold in temperature. I ordered a standard cocktail but after several minutes, the waiter explained that they were out of this liquor. There were specials but we only learned of them via overhearing another table's waiter explaining them. Those customers had been seated after we were seated. The restaurant did not have good ambiance so we asked if they could turn on some piped in music but after about ten minutes they explained the system was broken. The staff of the restaurant was in no way of the caliber of a restaurant purported to be one in the fine dining category."

  • "Though not surrounded by fancy architecture, or upscale shopping, this place is an exceptional dining experience. This is the nicest restaurants wife and I have ever been to, granted having three children doesn't afford us the option to dine lavishly very often. The food was innovative, delicious, and well presented. Our waiter, Sam, was also very friendly, and though he was a newer employee, he displayed a solid knowledge of the restaurant's offerings. I strongly recommend the snapper Amerigo's and the veal with figs (don't remember the exact name)."

  • "Not a pleasant dining experience.. sat us on 2nd level at first which has no atmosphere at all; however they were nice to move us to lower level upon request. We ordered a drink and it took 40 minutes. The waiter came over apologizing 4 times for delay at the bar… Saturday night after Valentine's and only 1 bartender..We received our drinks (2 martini's..not complicated) after we ate our appetizer and only a few short minutes before we got our food. Tables that sat after us received their drinks prior to us.. The manager never stepped into the bar to help nor did he come to our table to apologize for horrible service. Food is just ok.. Overpriced for quality.. Go to Via Emilia or La Trattoria better service and food."

  • "The food service started with a strange tasting(sweet&sour) dipping sauce and a few slices of store bought quality bread. I’m guessing that my wife’s salad, a caesar salad, probably started off the evening as a house salad. It was watery, with only a hint of dressing and came without parmesan cheese or croutons. Nothing is offered or prepared tableside. Our entrees, sea bass for the wife and a filet for me, arrived barely warm to the touch and lacked the zest and aroma of freshly cook food. Had the food been sitting too long? Is this reheated food? If the food was freshly prepared then something happened in transit from kitchen to upstairs tables? Some items had been sitting so long that their ingredients had started to separate."

  • ", I made reservations two weeks ahead of time and we are in an overflow area. For the meal, my wife ordered the Chilean Seabass with a mandarin orange sauce. Must tell you, the fish was cooked beautifully, the taste was bad. My wife had two bites. I had the lobster linguini. It was bland to say the least and the truffle Mac and cheese seemed to be a vegamelle sauce without cheese or truffle. The waiter, who was really pretty good apologised for the amount of time it took for the dinners to also arrive, and offered a dessert on the house. We ordered a cheesecake. This took 25 minutes to arrive TO GO! Not like we wee in a hurry, but this was bad. Even if the food was worth going back too, we would not."

  • "some of our food was great but some was not so great. Trout Pignoli was underseasoned but cooked perfectly. The sauce should have been drizzled or put to the side because it was clumped in the middle of the lightly breaded fish and made it soggy. The lobster bisque was good but the lobster was very rubbery, tasted like previous days batch reheated. A real no no for the prices you pay. My husbands veal was underwhelming but the avacado pancake was great. The desserts were weirdly matched with these citrusy sweet sauces that ruined them all (we tried 3) and the apple tart pastry was hard and tasted microwaved. So for half the price this place would have been great its just clear that the kitchen cuts corners. The service was excellent."

  • "(2-7-14) Have dined at Amerigo's a number of times in the past and would assign high marks to those experiences. This past weeks visit was lack luster from the start with a table in a noisey isleway, main course that was so-so (except the price) and desserts that were akin to "Kroger" in quality. Overall,you failed to earn the "WOW" of previous visits. At a price of over $100 per head, i will not be back."

  • "Me and Fiancé were not pleased by this restaurant at all. Not only did the waiter give us wrong info on our food choice, he failed to stay connected with us through out our meal. Poor service for such an expensive "high-class" place. We were also surprised to arrive and see people in shorts and t-shirts sitting in there when we were specifically told to "dress as nice as possible". The Lobster was all claw meat and was "rubbery'' and had no flavor and was definitely not worth the $40 we had to pay. Even the chair I sat in felt like it was going to collapse at any time, was very unstable. We left the restaurant and went through a drive-through before going back to our hotel. We considered it a complete waste of money."

  • "We were visiting from Dallas and chose this gem from the TripAdvisor review. We had a wonderfully romantic evening and can't say enough positive things. Our waiter was excellent, not pushy, and let us work through the various meal courses at our leisure. The menu had many choices, the meal was expertly prepared and was presented as well as any we've had in cities known for their cuisine, such as Paris. I would recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone."
