Diner Reviews
  • "Food was high quality and with excellent presentation. Service was awesome. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting - private rooms available for special occasions or complete privacy. Definitely a place to go back to dine again."

  • "Having eaten lunch at Amerigo twice recently, I see it as a reliable business lunch option. Big tables give good room for quiet conversation. The lunch menu offers a lot of variety at fair prices. I have found the pasta dishes to be bland and lack the flavor I want so tried the salmon last visit and was pleased. My friend liked the spaghetti and meatball lunch option. The focaccia tastes fairly good when they bring it out yet it gets hard as a rock in no time. I wish they'd swap it for another bread choice. Remember to eat it quickly if you like bread with your meal! Service has been helpful and attentive each time. While I wish there were more great Italian options in town, amerigo is reliable when needed."

  • "This is my favorite place and also my son's. Took my brother and his wife there this weekend for a birthday dinner and they loved it too! The food and atmosphere is outstanding! I had the scallops and they were wonderful."

  • "Amerigo has a varied and thoughtful menu for brunch, lunch, or dinner. I particularly appreciate the gluten free options.... In a pasta restaraunt of all places! I had brunch with my "paleo diet" friend, and she was able to find options as well. Of course, none of the options would matter if the execution were poor, but that is not the case. Excellent shrimp bisque and flame grilled salmon. I don't usually find this quality in chain restaraunts."

  • "My fiancé and I have a date night without the children about every 3 to 4 months. We decided on Amerigo's because we had missed out on a chance to go last summer. It was so worth the wait. The food was awesome. Everything from the drinks at the bar to our dessert was great! We DEFINITELY will be back!"

  • "The ambiance, low noise level and the quality of the food and service will bring us back to this location again."

  • "Despite making a reservation the only tables available upon arrival were in the bar. Normally I would not care, but as I had my daughter with me I did not want to be surrounded by a crowd of adults downing beer, cocktails, and wine while NASCAR blasts out of the bar TV. There were several tables available in the main restaurant but apparently there must be a special class of reservation for Amerigo or perhaps OpenTable reservations are simply not a priority. After about 20 minutes we were finally seated with little apology. The food here is decent, but I will not be back as the hospitality (particularly the hostess) was horrible."

  • "Amerigo's in Brentwood, TN is a special place. The staff are very attentive and work as a team. You can feel a positive atmosphere when you first walk in and it continues through the meal. We eat there often and find the food to be fresh and updated as well as of the highest quality. You can't go wrong with Amerigo's in Brentwood (Cool Springs)."

  • "Hostesses were too busy socializing to get us a table and when they did we had to stand there for 5 minutes whle they debated where to seat us and then whipe off the table because it was sti dirty.food was so overcooked mine was comped and my husband's veal was way overcooked but by then we just wanted to leave.. spent the entire dinner sitting next to the bus station listening to waiters bad talk customers, coworkers and talk about high school and sex.awful."

  • "I took my mom for Mothers Day and it was nothing but delightful!!! Usually going out to eat on Mothers Day is a nightmare due to the long wait for tables and the crowds. We walked in, gave the hostess my name and we were seated within 5 mins. My mom LUVS LUVS LUVS italian food and this was the best we have had since moving here from NY. I have found a new favorite place to eat."

  • "It was a busy Mother's Day, but we were 30 minutes late being seated, even after other 12:45 reservations who arrived after us. The choices of food we made were fair at best...Bruchetta bread was too large and the olives did not enhance the flavor. Prefer smaller, crispy bread with tomatoes and milder spices. Entrees were not very good...spaghetti and meatball was generic, chicken and artichoke was bland and the arugula with chicken and apples, walnuts, etc. smelled and tasted burned. The other guests also noticed the smell. Had it not been so busy we would have sent at least two of the dishes back. Have eaten here before with better outcome, but with all the choices out there; doubt we will visit Amerigo's again soon."

  • "This was our third trip to Amerigo and I doubt I'll go back. The Veal In the Marsala was over-cooked and tough as nails. The chicken in the Chicken Acuto was also over-cooked, dry and tough. The only Malbec offered was young, tart and over-priced for the quality offered. Perhaps busy Friday evenings are not the best time to dine at Amerigo. There are better options in this category in our area, based on our latest experience. "

  • "Googled Italian restaurants and Amerigo came up. Saw a waiter taking care of 6 little girls celebrating a birthday...he was awesome! Food very, very good. Definitely recommend...and I'm Italian."

  • "We hadn't dined here in years; no particular reason, just don't travel that stretch of road very often and had forgotten about it. We've now been back twice in two weeks and won't let it drop off our radar again. Nice atmosphere, quieter than many Franklin area restaurants, delicious food, great service, and they take reservations. Love it!"

  • "I loved the environment of Amerigos but I was disappointed that they did nothing for birthdays. The food was ok and came in large portions. Our server was great but we weren't checked on after our food was delivered. All of our drinks were soon empty and remained that way for the rest of our dinner. Despite those few things I enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to a friend."

  • "Went for lunch with friends. Two of us ordered the chicken wrap…it was ok, but Wendy's is better. The wrap was too thick and bready. Had to stop eating the wrap and just ate the filling. The shrimp bisque and manhattan chowder were both delicious. The bread pudding with ice cream was a great way to end a lunch with friends."

  • "I have been going to Amerigo since it opened and it has always been consistent in every way. The food is great, the wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable and it is always a great experience. I will take the time to mention Will. He was our server and for my money the best I have ever had there. Great guy, willing to go the extra mile to make a meal extra special. We always sit in the bar area if we can ( about 7-8 booths as well as bar seating) because it is quieter and there are no children. Not that I don't like them, but it is nice to sit in an area where there are no distractions and the noise level is considerably quieter. All in all, it was an enjoyable evening!"

  • "We went to Amerigo's for lunch Saturday with some friends who had been there before. My husband and I had never heard of it. We both really enjoyed it and will definitely be back. Also, our server (maybe it was Chris???) was excellent and was right on top of things the whole time."

  • "I took my wife here to celebrate Valentines Day. We had dinner resevations for 7pm and were promptly escorted to our table right at 7. The waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He helped us to select the perfect food for our dinner. Our needs were met and never had to wait for anything. The waiter also made sure to bring everything out in the appropriate timing. Our appetizer came out well before our entrè so we had adequate time to enjoy everything."

  • "We enjoyed the most wonderful meal for our Valentine evening! Even after a long day of work and driving in the rain, Amerigo DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We were seated immediately, the food and service were perfect - even after a long day for everyone! Will be Back!!!"

  • "For the first time since it's been our place since 2006, we both ordered a steak. It was cooked medium but it was not a good piece of meat. There was way too much fat and grisle and we both ended up spitting some out. I couldn't even eat it all. It was that bad. Thus is the first time we have ever been displeased with the food. The tiramisu made up for the steak to some degree and nothing could ever keep us away. The service is always spectacular! Unfortunately there were several noisy and not exactly well behaved children there on Valentines Day so it wasn't as romantic as usual but we know that's not the restaurants fault."

  • "Needed a lunch spot in Franklin with comfortable tables for a business discussion ans Amerigo did the trick. The menu offers more than straight Italian which is nice for a group. I was interested in the veggie pasta and asked if it was possible to get red sauce in place of the cream sauce. I didn't expect to hear yes and I did! The server said I could and offered to jazz it up with cheese. It was a nice surprise and the only thing it needed was some spice to the red sauce. I would get that again. My friend's chicken marsala was fair as was the bread they bring to the table. All in all it's a safe bet for lunch. it offers a wide menu with hearty portions and solid service."
