Diner Reviews
  • "Great food and service. Wonderful atmosphere and interesting decor."

  • "Went on a Sunday for brunch. It was fun to try all the different things on the buffet so you know what you like. It was really busy. Good to make reservations ahead of time. I prefer to order instead of eating off a buffet and thats not an option at that time. Will skip out on brunch hours next time. Service is always great!"

  • "Thank goodness I wasn't that hungry because I wouldn't have been so disappointed. The add on drink charge was fine and I drank mojitos which were perfect. Sad though that liquor had to make up for food that wasn't that great this time. I will probably never come back. This is the 4th brunch for me so my record was great going into this time but it was just blah...the carving station meats were cold...they ran out of all of the desserts at 2pm and didn't restock them..."

  • "Americas was a dissappointment. While the service was good, friendly and attentive the food was bland. The lobster corn dogs were ok but the breading masked the taste of the seafood. The meal was bland with the fillet tasting pedestrian. The best part if the meal were some green peppers on the side. Dessert was entertaining but also not tasty."

  • "Had not been to the new location, so checked it out on Saturday night. The food was fantastic along with the ambiance. The decor is so amazing and they did a beautiful job. I would recommend Americas to everyone. Just can't say enough good things about this restaurant."

  • "Americas is a must-visit for out-of-town guests due to its unique Nicaraguan-inspired culinary offerings and creative decor. Food is consistently excellent although usually-attentive service occasionally borders on lethargic, evidenced on our last visit."

  • "It would have been nice to have dined with Harry? Otherwise, it was wonderful."

  • "The decor/design is over the top and makes for great table conversation besides the excellent food and service."

  • "The food was amazing as always! We got the empanadas, we couldn't resist to have more!!!! Yummy! All of them are very unique! Besides that, the lamb chops. Wow!!! Have to try them!"

  • "Had the ahi ceviche which was really good, the empanada combo (chorizo, chicken, beef) was also pretty good. Main dish was the pork stuffed with corn I think? The pork was cooked perfectly, with a great sauce."

  • "It was a great experience as my only complaint was that when I made my reservation online I made specific comments about it being my anniversary celebration. I also made a note about my wife being 8 months pregnant, however; no one ever wished us a happy anniversary and my wife was offered wine."

  • "Our most recent visit was an embarrassment for me as a host to several business partners and a black eye for America's. The service was abominable. We asked 3-4 times for plantain chips: they came 45 minutes later, after the appetizers. I asked for 4 different wines listed on the electronic wine list: none were in stock. It took us over 3 hours to have appetizers and a Churrasco. That is disgraceful. What is happening to this place? Is it going out of business? If it doesn't turn around, it will!!!"

  • "I love going to Americas for brunch! They have a very nice selection of things to choose from and wonderful dessert! The ambiance is wonderful and the decor is very interesting and beautiful. Nothing like I've ever seen before. If you want to wow your guests, I definitely recommend going there. Lovely for events as well."

  • "I loved the design and ambiance of this restaurant! Took my girlfriend for her birthday here recently and we were both impressed with the set up, service and of course the amazing food. Everything was on point and delicious from the fried plantain, salad and the main dish! The waiter even provided a complimentary desert for her birthday with a candle! The creative design of the high walled booths really made it feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant."

  • "America's is always good. This was the first time I did not have the Churrasco steak, instead I had salmon, absolutely delicious. One hidden treat that many people don't know about, but everyone should try for desert is the Alfajores!!! Simply delightful."

  • "Never again here....I was in this restaurant on January, last year, but this year 2014 the quality on everything is "in the ground". We have available other better places around."

  • "Huge fan of Americas and went to try the brunch for the first time. Though the spread was good, I expected more especially for the price. Certainly remains on my top list of restaurants, but will stick to dinner."

  • "I loved everything about Americas. I booked for a party of 10 and they had no problem fitting my party and I in one table. The food was amazing, great portions, and drinks were tasty and got things off to a great start. They even brought out a small cake for the birthday boy without us even asking, definitely will be back again!"

  • "Great food and service....but best part was guessing what was going on in the minds of the interior design team when they put this place together.... :-)"

  • "I went to Americas for a retirement dinner and absolutely fell in love with the ambience and the FOOD!! Return just a month later to celebrate my mother's 59th birthday celebration and everyone (9 people) enjoyed their food. The churrosco steak is excited, the sea bass is great, crab fingers and lobster corn dogs are a must have. I plan to go back soon to experience happy hour."

  • "With the exception of the Tres Leche dessert, the food was palatable but not noteworthy. My wife and I shared Arroz Cazador and the meat was overcooked and bland. Our ceviche appetizer was fresh, but not noteworthy. The service was perfunctory and uneven. Our waiter was generally inattentive. The decor is interesting but uneven. The menu and salt/pepper shakers on the table were diner quality. We had been to Americas in their previous location and were anticipating stylish upscale dining. We left confused about what they are trying to be. We aren't planning to return to find out. The tres leche was complimentary for our anniversary (nice), but we had to ask the waiter for coffee after it arrived."

  • "Service was very pleasant but a little slow at times. Food was awesome as always. We went for a birthday and got a flaming tres leches as a birthday dessert. The presentation was stunning. We miss the old restaurant that had all the glass in their décor. The décor in this Americas is lacking in my opinion. It is too somber and the furniture is not comfortable."

  • "Excellent signature steak but expensive, $45 for a 10oz marinated piece of meat is pricy but nevertheless, really good"

  • "Ordered the flight of 4 ceviches, skate, and paella with pork, lamb, bacon-wrapped quail, and crabmeat. Food was great! Really enjoyed the ceviche--was even better than most of the ones I had in Ecuador. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. Water glasses were always more than half full. Ambiance is unique! Highly recommend."

  • "We had Father's Day brunch at The Americas. We loved it. It was pretty expensive but the food and service were both wonderful. The wait staff was right on top of everything from refilling our drinks, keeping our dirty plates cleared, getting clean silverware and clean napkins, etc. They were great. Just because you pay a lot at a restaurant doesn't mean you will get great service but it was wonderful at The Americas!"
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "I felt very unspecial eating there for Father's Day. Lots of just "ok" food choices... minimal salads that we thought looked right out of the bag.... lots I mean lots, of fried foods. Veggies were really hard to find. Huge pieces of meat being cut off the bone in the carving stations - probably were very impressive at 11AM, but by 12:30 they looked like leftovers. The homemade crepes with nutella and strawberries were really really good. The bill for 4 people for a buffet lunch without liquor was $225 and we felt like they upcharged over the standard because it was Father's Day. Felt pressured to buy the bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary's for $12++ per person but I'm glad we passed. Overall, it fell short of expectations."

  • "Enjoyed a wonderful brunch for Father's Day! Everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere."

  • "Service was excellent, food good but not on the WOW scale. What was really annoying was a private party had little kids, that decided to use the handicap ramp as their runway for at least 1/2 hr. Since we were sitting near this ramp the tromping of little feet was less than an enjoyable adult evening dinner, can you say Chucky Cheese. We did mention it to the waitress, that eventually the running ceased. Off the restaurant list..."

  • "I had brunch here with my son and his girlfriend. We did it very early and everything was great. Food was fresh, crepes were outstanding and overall the service was top notch. Highly recommended."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "The interior decoration is two steps above any restaurant in a similar price range. The aesthetic is unique and interesting. Food was also top notch. I had the Churrasco, she had Cerdo Relleno. I would recommend both. The servers seemed a little bit scatterbrained that evening. Our appetizer seemed to get lost in transition from the bar to our table, and we must not have been the only ones. Waiters came to our table a couple times with food that wasn't ours. Normally I wouldn't nit pick over such a thing, but we had come early to make a ballet later. We were one of two tables in the room. I blame the world cup. Other than losing our appetizer, service was prompt and friendly. We'll definitely go again."
