Cross Street: 15th Street
Public Transit: Des Moines DART Downtown Shuttle Service makes frequent stops through downtown Des Moines throughout the day and into the evening.
Parking: Private Lot
Parking Details: Metered street parking is available on Grand, Locust, 15th, and 13th. There are also 10 hour meters on Walnut St. All meters are free after 6:00 pm. The lots directly east, west, and south of the restaurant are available FREE to guests after 5 pm. Additionally, there is the Allied Parking Ramp located at 12th and Mulberry, available all day, free after 8:00 pm. The Nationwide Skywalk is open until 2 am.

AMERICANA is an urban restaurant and lounge that celebrates the swagger of the cocktail culture, and gives a modern twist on the decor of cabaret & supper clubs. The restaurant features a variety of classic cocktails and a large wine list.

We serve a Modern American/Continental menu… specializing in freshly prepared small plates, signature entrees, gourmet burgers, contemporary classics and much more. The restaurant, located downtown, provides a multi-level dining experience and street side lounge with a panoramic view of the Pappajohn Sculpture Garden.

Private rooms are available for various group sizes and any occasion, as well as off-site catering. Kitchen dining at our custom built table is available by reservation or walk-ins.

Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Reservations accepted for any size group.Continued

"I was surprised that Happy Hour pricing was only good on the lounge side of the restaurant, not the entire venue. Because the restaurant design is very open, there's little to separate the lounge from the dining area. We had an early reservation and asked after we were seated and were allowed our first beverage at the Happy Hour price. Had we known that, we would have chosen to sit in the lounge area. We were not the only early diners to ask about the Happy Hour pricing and to be told that it was not honored in the restaurant, only the lounge (and given the first drink at the Happy Hour price)."

"Brunch had a wonderful selection!!! The only downfall was the loud music. I'm young, and I even thought the music was too loud for how many people were in the restaurant. It was hard to have a conversation with family at the table."

"Our food was good and the service was excellent. We did the bombshell brunch and I only have 2 complaints. The way it was set up created a "bottle neck" of people that I had to squeeze around with full plates and drinks. Also, there was alot of good food, but no desserts. The bloody mary and mimosa bar was YUMMY and the mexican eggs, biscuts and gravy and crepes are the best!"

"The crab Rangoon appetizer was delicious! The 12 oz fillet seemed closer to 16 oz and was cooked to a turn. Our waitress Coco was amazing!!!! I would highly recommend the key lime bites for dessert. This was our first trip to Americana and we are looking forward to a return trip soon for brunch."
