American Tap RoomNice ambiance!The food was great, but not amazing. We had crab cakes, a burger, and a bavarian pretzel. The crab cake was good, but it wasn't the best I'd ever had. It was more crab than cake though, which was good! The pickles on the burger were amazing! The bavarian soft pretzel was fantastic! However, the horseradish sauce that came with the pretzel was a bit too strong, even for me--a horseradish lover! We did love the cheddar ale sauce though--top notch! The ambiance of the restaurant was the best part and is why I would definitely come back to this restaurant. We were seated right next to a very modern looking fireplace, which was just beautiful. The inside has a very nice (almost like an executive type feel to it) with the tall backed chairs in the bar area. The lunch menu is a great deal. It seemed like we were given preferential treatment for seating because we had made a reservation, which I appreciated, and our table was secluded from the others, which made conversation easier. The brunch buffet was delicious! Great selection: salads, made-to-order omelets, french toast, chicken & waffles, prime rib, etc. There were small portions set out so the food was constantly refreshed, which doesn't always happen at a buffet. My dad wasn't feeling well and the waiter offered for him to check out the buffet and did not charge him for the couple of pieces of bread and bits of fruit that he ate off of the buffet. My husband selected this restaurant as the location to celebrate our special day. Not knowing any of the local establishments he chose this restaurant. had to wait 30 minutes for a table even with a reservation.service was very good ,the food was great as well although both our steaks were a bit UNDER COOKED. We declined dessert as the entrees and appetizer were filling for us, noise level was the chief downfall for us. We had the specials (Irish theme since it was the day before St. Patrick's day) and the corned beef was the best I've ever had. But, start with the mussels for a true treat. They were fantastic.
