Excellent place, food, desert, & appetizers The chefs (students of pro) did creative presentation. 2 thumbs up for the chefs Great variation to try out different world cuisines (so far South American, will try others) Well recommended for a nice dine out with significant others Price is fair for this arrangement. Kids may not enjoy, unless they are willing to loose chicken finger, hot dogs, or french fries

These culinary students make innovative dishes and desserts which are visually beautiful and delectable. We happened upon South American buffet night and were delighted with all the many choices of salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts that were works of art. Even the music was in keeping with the theme. I highly recommend dining here whenever possible. Our group of six was very pleased with the food and service. Our waitstaff was personable and helpful; however the food should be served at the same time. Two of our party ordered soup and salad which was served together long before the rest of our party was served. Even though the temperature that day was a very chilly 45 degrees, the air conditioning was not only on but blowing directly on our table and I asked twice (to no avail) to have it adjusted in order that we could eat without our winter coats on. We observed other diners wearing coats also. This made our dining experience very uncomfortable and as a result our food was almost cold before we had time to finish. For this reason alone I would not return.

The students and their Master and Executive Chef instructors are second to none. The food is expertly prepared, beautifully plated, and amazingly delicious. Chef Loving's Bourbon Bread Pudding is a delight! For all the restaurants on "Restaurant Row" on Haggerty Road, this one outshines them all.

Excellent food Staff pleasant and very helpful. Noise LOUD. I brought my 90+ mother here for lunch. Sadly, I do not think I will bring her back. She could not hear a word uttered by anyone at our 4 person table. Music was a big distraction and conversations bounced walls and wood floors. It was challenging for me to hear my lunch mates, and I was not the one with the hearing aids. I am surprised that the architect who designed this fairly new building did not include noise-reduction features, which would have made this a truly outstanding meeting place. There are more hear-impaired patrons than most people realize.

I, along with my fellow co-workers, enjoyed a pleasant dining experience that was cherished by all. Food was spectacular, a large variety of Asian foods, foods that I wasn't even familiar with, wish I could eat like I did when I was 20. The only disappointment was the desert bar that didn't have the wonderful Crème Brulee that we have all come to look forward to. A pleasant evening indeed. Those at work that couldn't make it will be envious come Monday morning.

I ordered the goulash soup! I did not like it! I asked the waitress what was in it and she said lamb then she said it was veal ! I don't like lamb! The salad I ordered was underdressed and had the wrong dressing! I ordered the flank steak it was good but not hot the sides were awesome! Dessert was the Carmel chocolate upside down apple pie. I felt it would have been much better if it was warm !! Overall I would like to try the buffet.. I feel that I would be able to try some different things if there was something I didn't like! I understand this is a school and the student are learning, but for 27.00 with tip I was disappointed

We went to the European theme dinner, there were many favorites, seafood bisque, lamb chops, sliced duck breast, coco van , over 12 types of salads , this was a buffet dinner, one of the salad items was a leaf of endive with marinated beets, 15 types of deserts, crème Brule, torts on and on. At$ 26.95 this is a great deal. Schoolcraft College has a hidden gem here! Wine and Beer are available. Service was excellent.

It's a treat to have a lovely dinner a American Harvest Restaurant. We went to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. We enjoy hearing the students discuss with pride the food they have made. It makes it taste better. Sometimes service is a little slow and even awkward. This restaurant is for people to learn their craft, so it is not bothersome.

My mom and I both had the perch for lunch, and at around $11 each per entree, it was truly a wonderful value and absolutely delicious. They were perfectly presented and generously portioned. We really enjoyed perusing the dessert options, and it was very difficult to choose one since there were MANY options available, and perfectly presented along the bar area as you walk in. My only complaint was that the leafy greens (spinach maybe?) and the green beans on our entree were a bit undercooked, and I do like my veggies a little crunchy. Other than that they did a fantastic job with the quality of the food, the presentation, and also the hospitality of the hostess, making us feel VERY welcome and eager to come back.
