American Cut - Revel Casino
"Upper Cut" Class for American Cut!The Jersey Shore has achieved class status with Revel Resort and Revel's American Cut Restaurant. It is the premiere location for an upscale dining experience. Elegantly masculine decor lends itself well to corporate gatherings and client /executive lunches, but non business related dining and special occasions as well.
The food (we had the pan-seared scallops [awesome!] and the delicious, cheese infused twice baked potatoes) was excellent and artfully presented. We chose a very good Riesling (not too sweet) from the wine menu, which quite nicely complimented the scallops. The wait staff was attentive and accommodating. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience and we would recommend this restaurant to everyone for business or pleasure.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat SteaksWe celebrated our 24 year wedding anniversary. I put the note through the OpenTable reservation and they took notice. I had a NY strip and my wife had the filet and both were cooked to perfection. They had great options for two as well. The table side caesar salad presentation was very nice and it was one of the best caesar's I've ever had. The one down side was the sides. Typically, I like asparagus at a good steak house and they only had it for the specials. So, we settled on the mashed potatoes , but they were like a pureed dish of baby food potatoes. They were not edible. The desert was very good and the waiter added a nice personalized note regarding our anniversary, which was a nice touch. Expensive, but worth it.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSub-par tonightI have had the steak (filet mignon) several times here. This time it was just not as good. I hope that a busy Saturday night does not prevent upholding the quality.
The iceberg wedge was ok. Tuna tartare app ok. I was not a fan of the preparation, presentation or flavoring of marinade.
Twice baked potato was delicious.
$48 bottle of Cab Sav tasted like a $9 bottle. To get a great wine you'd pay $18 a glass or $65 a bottle.
Tonight, the $250 my boyfriend and I spent would have best been spent at Bobby Flay at Borgata in my opintion. Lucky enough to win enough to cover it!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMgbreviewI was very pleased with my selection of American Cut as a first time dining experience. It was our anniversary and we took a drive down from Philadelphia to have dinner. Outstanding staff, great food that was different and unique from your typical steak house. It also didn't feel like a straight forward steak house but gave some interesting alternatives that met the needs of any food palette. Great restaurant.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMdiningwe celebrated my husband's birthday. it was a wonderful dining experience. very attentive and friendly staff.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a great mealThe food and service at American Cut at Revel is outstanding. Never been disappointed. Always exceeds our expectations.
thanks for another great meal!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWould have been an outstandingWould have been an outstanding experience if not for the wait. Had reservations for 7:00PM so we could have dinner at a relaxed pace prior to 9:00PM show. Upon arrival at 6:55Pm were told that they were running a bit behind and our table would be ready in a few minutes. 15 minutes later I checked and was told that it would be just a couple of minutes. After another 15 minutes I was told we would be next. We were finally seated at 7:40PM which made for a rushed dinner with no time for appetizers or dessert. During the entire waiting time the host seemed completely indifferent to our situation.
The meal itself and the waiter service were outstanding.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMI was at Revel for a conventionI was at Revel for a convention and we went to dinner with customers. The food was delicious.
Our reservation was for 930 pm. We were having a great time and did not leave the restaurant until after midnite. We closed the place. And although the waitstaff was wrapping it up, they did not rush us out the door or ask us to leave.
When back in Atlantic City i would definitely come back here to eat.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFrom the moment we were greetedFrom the moment we were greeted at the front right through the meal, everything was 5 star. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive.Would recomend to anyone in A.C. looking for a great dining experience.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good. TheThe food was very good. The only thing that I did not like was that the tables were so close to each other that I could hear the conversation of the couple next to us and I am sure they could hear ours.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA Dining DelightI am from Italy and we just love octopus but I have never tasted any half so good as that of American Cut. So too, the barbeque baked oysters, the special bacon, chili lobster and on and on. The point is, while American Cut offers the finest in steak, chops, and veal, there is so much more and every dish is creative, presented beautifully and just delicious. I forgot my favorite, the short ribs, the very best I have ever eaten. You shall be amazed at the care and preparation of the most special ingredients, all designed to give you that perfect meal. A beautiful room , friendly wait staff and libations aplenty are a feature of every visit to American Cut.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I went to AmericanMy husband and I went to American Cut for the Sunset dinner special...what a great deal! We both had the tuna tartar appetizer and loved it because it had a different spin on it. We both had the fillet mignon and liked it, but we definately have had better. The fillet was small and not as tender as I have had elsewhere. They charged $3 extra for steak sauce also! The sides were really good though. Definately get the twice baked potatoes and the creamed spinach. We shared both and they were both delish. Dessert was amazing...I had the candybar cake?? It tasted like a Snickers bar made into a cake...awesome! Oh and the Purple Haze cocktail was fantastic! If you like some heat then this is the drink for you!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic meal. Waiter wasFantastic meal. Waiter was exceptional in helping my wife and I with our selections.
The steak was cooked to perfection, and the sides were great as well. I would definitely return.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMPastry perfections! We were there at 6 pm for the Sunset menu which
was excellent and reasonably priced.
The regular menu is expensive.
The pastry chef's creations were a hit! A definite
return for the desserts!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe ordered from the SunsetWe ordered from the Sunset Menu. All food fabulous but the bacon appetizer was superb! Tuna Tartarre, filet mignon, Hen O tthe Woods Mushrooms and Twic Baked Potatoes. Very delicious food. Steaks cooks perfectly. Service fantastic. Dessert-candy bar cake and tangerine sorbet-both yummy but the peanut butter ice cream that came with the cake was the best! Only downfall was the wine list-too expensive! and even wines by the glass overpriced. Ambiance was modern and chic.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it! Had my birthdayLoved it! Had my birthday dinner there for 8 people and had a wonderful time and the food was phenomenal!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe server was outstandingThe server was outstanding & the food was delicious!!!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMSome of the best restaurantSome of the best restaurant service out there! I plan on coming back with my friends. My husband and I were very impressed with this restaurant. We give it 5 stars.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was very good. Our waiterFood was very good. Our waiter was not really on top of things - we had to ask for specials, didn't get water and bread or drinks right away - though he seemed to make up for it by checking in with us later in the meal. Other than that, we enjoyed the meal.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe celebrated my husband'sWe celebrated my husband's birthday, Friday, 3/29/2013. We ordered the surf and turf for two, so delicious!! So much food left over we ate it for lunch on Saturday and again for breakfast on Sunday!! The 42 ounce Rib eye was cooked to perfection and whatever that sauce was on the Lobster was AWESOME. Blood orange cosomopolitan is a must do too. Everyone is super friendly and atmosphere was very cozy, perfect for us, not too loud.
Would definately eat here again and I have told a dozen people at work so far how great it is there.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMLOVED LOVED LOVED THE RESTAURANTLOVED LOVED LOVED THE RESTAURANT AND FOOD!!! The Palm...the American Cut is far superior..WHY ? Well, I has at very tender, flavorful Filet,...cooked medium rare... the best Caesar Salad ever, and great mushrooms, and twice baked potato...the wine list is only average, but the food is simply outstanding....will goback soon !!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMUnbelievable service, food,Unbelievable service, food, and ambiance. Great spot!3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMDeeelish!Great food and great service. This is our second time there and it was better than the first, which I thought was fantastic. Great wine list. Great service. Fun but not too crazy atmosphere. Try the twice baked potato. Not something I would usually order but they were to die for.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Palce to eatHad a great dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered off sunset menu which was an amazing deal. The Filet Mignon was excellent, you must bet the Jack Daniels onions on top of it. The Crab Cake and Onion Rings were delicious. A little pricey but worth every penny. Great service and great atmosphere.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA Cut Above The RestIf you have ever experienced the world famous Steakhouse at the Disneyland Hotel, you have some idea of how wonderful American Cut is, time after time. A beautiful, warm room, friendly and knowledgeable servers, floor managers who shall make you feel most welcome, and the food, just magnificent. Large portions of creative, delicious dishes, prepared perfectly, and at a surprisingly competitive price. All together, a great dining experience, and, a terrific value. This is an exciting place, located in the beautiful Revel Hotel Casino, with spectacular ocean views. Try American Cut once and you shall become a regular, and you shall forget Palm and the Capital Grille forever.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBest steak ever!! ComplimentsBest steak ever!! Compliments to the Chef, who we had the pleasure of meeting the last time we were there. Porterhouse for two was good for us three ladies that night, but it was cooked to perfection! The perfect medium rare.We came back to AC specifically for the steak and were not dissapointed! Thank you Marc Forgione!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAWESOME!Very awesome decor!..the food was amazing best steak i have ever had!..and the service was wonderful!..3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was one of the best steakThis was one of the best steak places we've eaten at, and we've tried quite a few. The last few guys trips we went to Vegas and our steak night had dissapointed with Carnevino being abysmal. Fortunately for us we came to AC this time and gave American Cut a try, and we were impressed. We had a few different cuts of meat (Strip, Ribeye and the Ribeye special which had a Pastrami crust) and all three were delicious. The sides were just as good with the favorite either being the brussel sprouts with bacon or their version of potato skins (frech fries with cheese and two thick pieces of pork roll). The only dissapointing item was the shrimp cocktail which was a bit overcooked but all in all this was a great experience and worth a try.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMDecor and service were exceptionalDecor and service were exceptional however the food was not the best. I was disappointed mainly with the side items. I ordered the filet it was cooked well but the rest of my dinner I could have done with out....3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful diningAmazing cuts of prime meets. Lovely variety on menu offered. Not one wasted bite!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMOnce again we had a wonderfulOnce again we had a wonderful meal. the best steak house in AC3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAmerican Cut is pretty goodThis is a solid restaurant--good food, but not outstanding. Had the chili lobster app, and the ribeye, my friend had the crabcake and the filet. We both had the cheesecake--all were great picks. Service was extremely polite and friendly, although the food took just a little too long to come out. They did remember it was my birthday as well as of my friend's, so that was nice. The restaurant is also beautiful, but a bit dark, and trying to find it almost needed a GPS. (It's by the UltraLounge, but you have to take the stairs or elevator a floor below.) I'd definitely go again. Too bad the REvel is having probs--such a nice casino and all the restaurants, but I guess there aren't enough non-smoking gamblers to sustain it.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA GEM!Tried this restaurant during Atlantic City's restaurant week. Had an excellent experience and would dine here again very soon.3/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was fantastic andThe food was fantastic and the restaurant décor is great. There was a minor issue with service but the manager(s) were very responsive.3/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways ExcitingWas away for awhile and it was very exciting being back. The beautiful room, the wonderful service, and the food: the best steakhouse you shall ever visit but so much more. The starters were varied, presented beautifully, and all delicious. Our group of three chose lamb, pork and theshort ribs and all were just superb. Easy to see why the American Cut sells out, it is just an incredible experience.3/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Steak And Much MoreWe are regulars so we obviously enjoy the place. It is a great steak house, on a par with Chris Scarduzio's in AC, set in a beautiful casino hotel. If you like great food , prepared with a creative flair, you must try American Cut. You shall not be disappointed.12/22/2012 12:00:00 AMExcellentExcellent in every manner but waiter suggested mushrooms were made in soy sauce and were very salty. He was correct. We show of listened to his suggestion.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
