A word from American Cut - Revel Casino
American Cut is Iron Chef Marc Forgione’s take on the modern American Steakhouse. The dark wood and leather banquettes of the main dining room lend to the space's edgy vibe amplified by sexy and soulful rock and roll, and large windows allow for stunning ocean views. Energy exudes from the open kitchen where guests might catch a glimpse of Chef Forgione preparing some of his signature fare including his take on the ultimate surf and turf, succulent Tomahawk Rib Eye Chop and Chili Lobster.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "While Revel may be struggling , American Cut continues to draw large crowds and it is easy to see why. The room is magnificent, every server treats you as if you were a regular, and the food is nothing short of magnificent. This is fine dining at its best, with surprisingly reasonable prices. We are fortunate to dine here frequently and we have never been disappointed. On this occasion, oysters bar b q style and grilled octopus as starters and roasted chicken and salmon for the entrees . Each dish was superb, the quality of presentation, the taste, everything was prepared with great care and was perfect. Too it off with their fabulous cocktails, a glass of fine wine and the now famous popcorn sundae and you have another perfect experience."

  • "I'm not sure how to describe this considering everything leading into this gem was beginning to feel as though the casino has given up. Walking through finger-print-ridden glass doors to an escalator to a sun-bleached carpet with a color I can't imagine lies a restaurant that belongs in a better place. The Hiramasa (yellowfin tuna) was delicious and overwhelmed the rest of the meal. The bone-in filet was cooked to perfection. The 2# lobster was a bit too spicy for the couple who ordered it at the table and had to go back for a fliet replacement. Kudos to the wait staff who handled this quickly and exactly as expected. Iron Chef Marc Forgione did a fine job with an outstanding restaurant and service. Too bad it's stuck in Revel."

  • "We love this restaurant and make a point to eat here every time we stay at Revel. The twice baked potatoes are phenom and the meat is always delicious. And such fab desserts! Gave only 3 stars for service however; we sat in the lounge and the bartender was our server. It isn't the bartender's fault he couldn't take care of us properly- after all, he is only one guy and with a busy bar and doing double duty on the service bar, he can't possibly come out and give good service. But we still love the food and will recommend it to friends and continue to go ourselves."

  • "First time at American Cut. Wine list had a nice price mix but you did have to search for the sub triple digit selections. They could probably back off on the wine prices a bit. Service was top notch, steaks were perfect. A winner in my book."

  • "My wife and I had dinner here on a sat night and we couldn't be anymore disappointed at the management and service. We ordered a couple appetizers and steaks for entrées. The wait was so long I was falling asleep at the table. We waited for nearly 2 hours for entrées to come out. The waitress was very slow, took like 20 min for her to bring menus. Food wasn't bad but overpriced. Overall not a good experience, plan to wait a long one for your food."

  • "The bone in ribeye did not have any flavor. It didn't taste like it was seasoned at all. Although it was cooked to medium rare, it was completely flavorless. I had to add steaksauce to it just to be able to eat it. When I asked the waiter about the lack of flavor, he didn't know what to say. This is definitely not a top chef quality steak."

  • "Still awesome, but the menu has been changed and greatly reduced. They stopped offering black pig bacon, which is hard to come by and couldn't be found at any other restaurant in the area. The ribeye on the bone is still top notch, but now it has an "Atlantic city" rub applied which, while not bad, is certainly not a welcome addition. I would have preferred it without, simply prepared as it used to be; a great dry aged cut which needs no additives."

  • "Filet Mignon was a bit salty but cooked as ordered. Food presentation was poor. I would stick to Old Homestead."

  • "Our dinner was perfect! And our server was exceptional! My husband's only issue was the music was a bit too loud for him. He found it difficult to hear conversation."

  • "Wanting to try something new we decided to venture off from the usual old homestead and try out american cut. We should have stayed at old homestead. Service was mediocre from the start. Food was even more mediocre. Undercooked two of the steaks. Overcooked my lamb and everything was just too seasoned and too spicy. Prob won't eat here again."

  • "Not a good experience and it was my birthday. They make a big deal of having aged meat for 21 days my sirloin strip must have been aged for 21 seconds. It was not a good cut of meat and having dined in many steak restaurants over the years this was not up to par at all. I don't know how they can get away with saying it is aged. Any critic could see it right away. My son is a chef and we cook at our house all the time and this was not even up to par of the Whole Foods steaks, no kidding. The manager is smart he comes around when your eating your appetizers and asks if everything was ok and at the time it was until the steak came out, couldn't find him later to complain. Last time at that place"

  • "Our dinner would have been much more enjoyable if we did not feel like we were in a meat locker. The temperature had to be about 50 degrees. When the men at the table are cold you know it is cold. Otherwise, service was great and food was OK. Menu seemed different and more limited than the last time we were there. Don't really like the appetizer selection."

  • "Decent steakhouse though service could use help. But if you are staying at revel it's not a bad choice."

  • "American Cut is now our number one choice of steakhouses. Before it was Morton's. The foods are excellent !! The service is outstanding. The waiter assigned to our table is awesome. WE found ourselves very welcome even if we brought our two grandchildren. It is the best place to hold specail occasions like the birthday of your loved ones. We loved all the foods served to us including the coffee which I found different from the coffee from other Corso coffee shops (according to our waiter, it must be how they brewed the coffee there. I can strongly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and colleagues."

  • "We had a party of 6. We all ordered apps and all but one salad came out. The waiter said he was bringing it but our food came out so we didn't get it. Our entrees were placed at the wrong seats so after adding sauces and cutting into the steaks, several of us had to switch plates. One person ordered a filet oscar-style and somehow the crab was dry. Another ordered the hanger steak and it was incredibly tough and dry. One of the side dishes never came. The waiter brought desserts to apologize for the mistakes. When the bill came, we were not only charges for the salad that never came, there was an extra filet entree on it. We were overcharged by $60! No manager came out despite the many mistakes. "

  • "My husband took me there for our 14th anniversary. We wanted the side specials the server told us they RAN OUT. My Kansas City Steak was RAW. Not rare RAW. The server apologized & came with another one RAW. Yes RAW. My husband is done with his meal & I still have gotten a cooked steak. Third times a charm b/c this time is was cooked. HOW CAN A STEAK HOUSE SERVE RAW STEAK TWICE. The manager was gracious enough to remove my steak from the bill. HOW BIG OF THEM. BUT, left the cold sides & sauce I ordered on the bill even though they didn't replace them. Thanks for making my 14th Anniversary a memorable one. "

  • "Great food! Great atmosphere! Love this place. It is a must-visit when you go to Atlantic City. Great wine list, delicious food. Get the glazed carrot and the twice-baked potato. Servers are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. "

  • "American Cut is a high end Steak restaurant within the Revel hotel/casino. The service was excellent and the food was as well. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the side dishes were ala carte, but were enough to share among two people. We had an excellent meal, but as you would expect it was pricey and you really do get what you pay for. Just to give you an idea, a 10 oz Filet Mignon was $42.....which really is not that bad all things considered. Anyway, if you are looking for a place to have an exceptional meal, try American Cut."

  • "Dining at American Cut is always a special occasion for us. The room is beautiful, the staff especially friendly and customer oriented, and the floor managers work tirelessly to make your evening perfect. We just love it here and cannot wait to return. The food, of course, is perfect, always prepared exactly and quite delicious. On this night, incredible oysters over specialty cocktails started our evening. There followed a suberp new entree, two pound lobster tails, stuffed with crab meat, and, accompanied by some amazing sides. A glass of notable wine and a sumptuous dessert completed our dining extravaganza. All this at quite reasonable prices so you can dine here on a regular basis. Try American Cut, wonderful!"

  • "Simply put, if I ever had to have a last meal, I would hope it would be from American Cut. From the appetizer to the steak coupled with the Maybe wine! The dessert by Kristen Moorer was the best cake I've ever had. It was a pound cake with a mango buttercream frosting. Every bite had a different flavor. Deliciously amazing from start to finish and highly recommended! !"

  • "The food and service were top notch at American Cut. The atmosphere was very nice, but there are no water views. This is an upscale steakhouse and it fills that role well. There are offerings for those who do not eat meat including some interesting appetizers. Our server was very professional and personable. He was able to make food suggestions and referred us to the sommelier for help choosing wine. There were many large parties dining and there is an upbeat vibe to the place. The bar was very nice as was the bartender although there was not much of a bar crowd. If you want a steakhouse while in AC, you will be very pleased at American Cut. We are tough food critics and this place delivered. "

  • "This is the second time we have been to American Cut and although not 'inexpensive' by any means, the steaks are amazing. We also got the twice baked potatoes (enough for 2 1/2 servings) and they were heaven. I would highly recommend this establishment. From the waiter to the bus boy, these employees are refined and do their jobs very well. I would highly recommend it for special occasion as well. The ambience is very chic."
