American Cut - Revel CasinoImpressiveGreat cocktails and very good wine list. Porterhouse was pricey but worth every penny. Awesome char and great flavor.
My new spot in AC.6/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe very best of ACAmerican Cut has quickly become our AC fav. Saturday night's center table, hiramasa starter, tomahawk ribeye, rose' sparkler followed by a great brunello, amped up soundtrack and perfect service made for a memorable evening. Simply great.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMBetter than the chainsAwesome music and great crowd watching.
The apps are great. Grilled bacon, bone marrow, chili lobster...great to enjoy such quality and inventive dishes on the menu.
The wine list is AWESOME! Lots of well priced, hard to find wines you normally won't find outside the NY market. Check out the Zins and Pinots, there are many gems there. Staff was friendly and helpful.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great TreatThis is not our first time at American Cut so I would say the biggest testament to a restaurant, or any business really, is that you come back for more. My wife and I love American Cut and are big fans of Marc Forgione. We would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a place to treat themselves to a dining experience that you just don't do every day. I went with the hanger steak since Marc endorsed that cut so much and it didn't disappoint. I love the potato puree on the side and my wife loves the chicken under a brick.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingIf it were closer I would eat there every week. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh.
Sushi grade tuna. Amazing
10oz filet. Perfect
Seasoned Cottage fries yummy
2x baked potato was unique and delish
Candy bar cake dessert was out of this world.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest overall experienceMy boyfriend and I were in & out of the restaurant. The service was great. The food was very quick. We were satisfied with everything!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA bit overpriced...Although we had a lovely evening, I'm not sure I would recommend this restaurant over Old Homestead at Borgata. Our porterhouse was delicious, but small for what we paid. It was fine for the two if us because we did not want to overeat, but at other steak houses, even though the steak says its for two, you can usually feed 3-4 comfortably...and they are not as pricey. The creamed spinach, tuna tartare and carrot cake were mediocre. The twice baked potatoes looked delicious, but we did not try them. The hirimasa appetizer was a big hit...delicious and interesting.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely IncredibleDon't miss this gem. Hidden from the Casino and grandiose in both food quality and size of the restaurant, you shouldn't miss this.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBest steak I've ever had.Best steak I've ever had. It was amazing and the wait staff knew the ins and outs of the food how its made and everything6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMusic mismatchedThe music played, rock and roll, which I love did not match the restaurant atmosphere. Food was great though. Four star overall rating for the music.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing servce and foodThis is our third time going and we have been equally impressed all 3 times with both food and service. The steaks are perfectly cooked and sommelier(Xavier) has paired wines expertly for all 3 meals. We recommend the restaurant to everyone and will be back many more times in the future.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGood EatsThe place was very quiet when we arrived for our 6:30 p.m. reservations. We requested a particular waiter and he served us. We ordered from the special early-bird type menu that included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for $42. Since we knew the waiter we had a few extra appetizers and an extra side dish thrown in! The pace of the meal was very relaxed. Our water was constantly refilled. The filet was very tender, although one was a bit undercooked for "medium." Really enjoyed our meal at the Revel.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeWe had the 40 oz porterhouse for two and it was amazing. They also honored a discount that had been offered by a sister restaurant. Just great!5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExpensive! The food was amazing but no meal is worth 300. 00.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMSatisfiedGreat food, great service, great suggestions & knowledgable staff. I'd recommend American Cut for the steak lover & seafood lover. I was completely "satisfied"!5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMService was great, food excellent. The food was exceptional, the service was also beyond expectations. The only knock was the drink I ordered was not great, a old bay margirita did not good down smoothly.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner!Food, service, atmosphere were all great! Can't wit to come back!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMJust for the halibut! We came just for the halibut! We had been to the restaurant literally the day before Sandy hit AC. I have been craving the halibut since. We started with the crab cake, all meat, great sauce. Then we shared the halibut and the short ribs. The meat fell of the bone and was so tender. The halibut, need I say any more, it was the reason we went there. The potato au gratin was delicious as well. Perfect blen of cheese and extremely thin potatoes. Too full for dessert. I cannot wait to get back.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was absolutely delicious,The food was absolutely delicious, did not have one mediocre dish5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMLove itThis is now my go to steak house in Atlantic City. Love the ceasar salad made table side. The steaks are amazing and the twice baked potato can't be beat.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly recommendAmerican cut is everything it's cracked up to be. A great dining experience.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGood for a 60th Birthday CelebratioMy wife and I have been there twice on the occassion of each of our 60th birthday. Therefore we will always have a special remembrance for this restaurant. We found our experince enjoybale and the food was good.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Night OutAfter a long day of dealing with contractors in getting our shore house rebuilt after Sandy, we wanted a good meal - American Cut didn't disappoint. We had the Porterhouse for two - done a perfect Medium Well, wasn't charbroiled like other places when you request it that way. The creamed spinach was very good (although it didn't need cheese on top) and the collard greens w bacon was divine. We shouldn't have... but we had the popcorn ice cream sundae at the end - just wonderful. Our server was very nice and personable. American Cut is not cheap, but who wants a cheap steak? We'll be back.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AM"Upper Cut" Class for American Cut!The Jersey Shore has achieved class status with Revel Resort and Revel's American Cut Restaurant. It is the premiere location for an upscale dining experience. Elegantly masculine decor lends itself well to corporate gatherings and client /executive lunches, but non business related dining and special occasions as well.
The food (we had the pan-seared scallops [awesome!] and the delicious, cheese infused twice baked potatoes) was excellent and artfully presented. We chose a very good Riesling (not too sweet) from the wine menu, which quite nicely complimented the scallops. The wait staff was attentive and accommodating. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience and we would recommend this restaurant to everyone for business or pleasure.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat SteaksWe celebrated our 24 year wedding anniversary. I put the note through the OpenTable reservation and they took notice. I had a NY strip and my wife had the filet and both were cooked to perfection. They had great options for two as well. The table side caesar salad presentation was very nice and it was one of the best caesar's I've ever had. The one down side was the sides. Typically, I like asparagus at a good steak house and they only had it for the specials. So, we settled on the mashed potatoes , but they were like a pureed dish of baby food potatoes. They were not edible. The desert was very good and the waiter added a nice personalized note regarding our anniversary, which was a nice touch. Expensive, but worth it.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMgbreviewI was very pleased with my selection of American Cut as a first time dining experience. It was our anniversary and we took a drive down from Philadelphia to have dinner. Outstanding staff, great food that was different and unique from your typical steak house. It also didn't feel like a straight forward steak house but gave some interesting alternatives that met the needs of any food palette. Great restaurant.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMdiningwe celebrated my husband's birthday. it was a wonderful dining experience. very attentive and friendly staff.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a great mealThe food and service at American Cut at Revel is outstanding. Never been disappointed. Always exceeds our expectations.
thanks for another great meal!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWHY BOTHER WITH A RESERVATIONRESERVATION WAS FOR 7:00PM AND DIDN'T GET SEATED UNTIL 7:45PM. DELAY IN GETTING OUR TABLE MADE US LATE FOR OUR CONCERT THAT NIGHT. THEY NEED TO LEARN THE CONCEPT OF WHY PEOPLE MAKE A RESERVATIONS IN THE FIRST PLACE.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Restaurant was good, serviceThe Restaurant was good, service was OK but should have been outstanding (SLOW) -- They did not WOW my wife and I at all -- This was not the best Steak Restaurant at all ! The wild mushrooms were VERY salty, the Steak FF were OK and the Steaks were very good! We probably would not return. We ordered Dessert and it never arrived --- forget about it.
I not going to complain to MGT. because they will not care....5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWould have been an outstandingWould have been an outstanding experience if not for the wait. Had reservations for 7:00PM so we could have dinner at a relaxed pace prior to 9:00PM show. Upon arrival at 6:55Pm were told that they were running a bit behind and our table would be ready in a few minutes. 15 minutes later I checked and was told that it would be just a couple of minutes. After another 15 minutes I was told we would be next. We were finally seated at 7:40PM which made for a rushed dinner with no time for appetizers or dessert. During the entire waiting time the host seemed completely indifferent to our situation.
The meal itself and the waiter service were outstanding.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMI was at Revel for a conventionI was at Revel for a convention and we went to dinner with customers. The food was delicious.
Our reservation was for 930 pm. We were having a great time and did not leave the restaurant until after midnite. We closed the place. And although the waitstaff was wrapping it up, they did not rush us out the door or ask us to leave.
When back in Atlantic City i would definitely come back here to eat.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFrom the moment we were greetedFrom the moment we were greeted at the front right through the meal, everything was 5 star. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive.Would recomend to anyone in A.C. looking for a great dining experience.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good. TheThe food was very good. The only thing that I did not like was that the tables were so close to each other that I could hear the conversation of the couple next to us and I am sure they could hear ours.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was good, service wasFood was good, service was a bit lax, we had to look for our waiter several times.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA Dining DelightI am from Italy and we just love octopus but I have never tasted any half so good as that of American Cut. So too, the barbeque baked oysters, the special bacon, chili lobster and on and on. The point is, while American Cut offers the finest in steak, chops, and veal, there is so much more and every dish is creative, presented beautifully and just delicious. I forgot my favorite, the short ribs, the very best I have ever eaten. You shall be amazed at the care and preparation of the most special ingredients, all designed to give you that perfect meal. A beautiful room , friendly wait staff and libations aplenty are a feature of every visit to American Cut.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I went to AmericanMy husband and I went to American Cut for the Sunset dinner special...what a great deal! We both had the tuna tartar appetizer and loved it because it had a different spin on it. We both had the fillet mignon and liked it, but we definately have had better. The fillet was small and not as tender as I have had elsewhere. They charged $3 extra for steak sauce also! The sides were really good though. Definately get the twice baked potatoes and the creamed spinach. We shared both and they were both delish. Dessert was amazing...I had the candybar cake?? It tasted like a Snickers bar made into a cake...awesome! Oh and the Purple Haze cocktail was fantastic! If you like some heat then this is the drink for you!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic meal. Waiter wasFantastic meal. Waiter was exceptional in helping my wife and I with our selections.
The steak was cooked to perfection, and the sides were great as well. I would definitely return.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMPastry perfections! We were there at 6 pm for the Sunset menu which
was excellent and reasonably priced.
The regular menu is expensive.
The pastry chef's creations were a hit! A definite
return for the desserts!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe ordered from the SunsetWe ordered from the Sunset Menu. All food fabulous but the bacon appetizer was superb! Tuna Tartarre, filet mignon, Hen O tthe Woods Mushrooms and Twic Baked Potatoes. Very delicious food. Steaks cooks perfectly. Service fantastic. Dessert-candy bar cake and tangerine sorbet-both yummy but the peanut butter ice cream that came with the cake was the best! Only downfall was the wine list-too expensive! and even wines by the glass overpriced. Ambiance was modern and chic.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it! Had my birthdayLoved it! Had my birthday dinner there for 8 people and had a wonderful time and the food was phenomenal!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe server was outstandingThe server was outstanding & the food was delicious!!!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMSome of the best restaurantSome of the best restaurant service out there! I plan on coming back with my friends. My husband and I were very impressed with this restaurant. We give it 5 stars.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was very good. Our waiterFood was very good. Our waiter was not really on top of things - we had to ask for specials, didn't get water and bread or drinks right away - though he seemed to make up for it by checking in with us later in the meal. Other than that, we enjoyed the meal.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe celebrated my husband'sWe celebrated my husband's birthday, Friday, 3/29/2013. We ordered the surf and turf for two, so delicious!! So much food left over we ate it for lunch on Saturday and again for breakfast on Sunday!! The 42 ounce Rib eye was cooked to perfection and whatever that sauce was on the Lobster was AWESOME. Blood orange cosomopolitan is a must do too. Everyone is super friendly and atmosphere was very cozy, perfect for us, not too loud.
Would definately eat here again and I have told a dozen people at work so far how great it is there.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMLOVED LOVED LOVED THE RESTAURANTLOVED LOVED LOVED THE RESTAURANT AND FOOD!!!
