American Cut is LDV Hospitality’s new American, signature steakhouse, brought to life by Iron Chef Marc Forgione. Located in the heart of Tribeca at 363 Greenwich Street, between Franklin and Harrison.

Our 180-seat restaurant combines modern design with art deco accents, culminating in a monumental space filled with fine food, spirits and culinary prowess.

  • "We were in NYC on a "Dining" vacation and this was the BEST spot we tried all week! The craft cocktail menu was very impressive and we enjoyed watching the bartender make all of the delicious libations. The Smoked Old Fashion was the group favorite! We absolutely loved dinner and could not pick a favorite item! We brought a big group back for drinks and dessert the next night because the dessert menu looked so good. It was amazing!"

  • "American Cut is a great take on a classic steakhouse in a refined setting with a great selection of meats and accompanying sauce options. The hangar steak with the chimichurri sauce was exceptional and understand that it is one of Chef Forgione's favorites. The interior is pleasant with comfortable seating mixed between booths and tables. While in the area don't forget to try Chef Forgione's name sake restaurant (Marc Forgione) and order the chili lobster and his Laos themed partner restaurant Khe-Yo."

  • "4th visit and progressively not impressing as much. The steak was a little overcooked on the edges and under cooked in the center and the portion size was well down from previous visits yet the prices seem to be getting higher. Wait staff seem focused on pushing additional food and drinks (appetizers, wine, desserts etc.). I hope the trend doesn't continue as my first two visits were very memorable."

  • "Walked up the stairs to the restaurant to be met by two patrons clearly intoxicated drinking on the terrace right in front of the door who became obnoxious and loud when we said "excuse me" to pass by to open the front door. We told the hostess who gave the appearance of concern. Five minutes later, the hostess sat those same obnoxious people two booths away from us. I discretely stood up and spoke with the hostess re. the clearly uncomfortable situation and she said "I thought that was a safe distance but you can speak to someone else about it." I had to stand up a second time to hunt down our server. I was asked to stand up during my meal so the staff could bring a chair through the dining room. The food was like airport quality at best."

  • "Simply put, a fantastic steakhouse in a city full of great steakhouses. The porterhouse was cooked perfectly and served with a bone marrow reduction (which, needless to say, you won't find at your standard steakhouse) and a homemade steak sauce, both of which were terrific. The sides were also out of this world - apple potato latkes and a glazed carrot that was unlike anything else I had ever tasted. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and explained everything in perfect detail. Kudos to everyone for a great dining experience, looking forward to returning!"

  • "Everything was wonderful. Waiter gave great wine suggestions and I ended up with something I very much enjoyed. Food was delicious, I ordered the filet mignon cooked to perfection and the dessert was a flourless chocolate cake with peanut ice cream so delicious and rich I couldn't even finish it. Perfect for any kind of business meeting, certainly a boys club but I did not feel uncomfortable in any way. If you want to spend for a special occasion I highly recommend. The staff was amazing."

  • "Very nice rest with good service. But the food does not live up to the prices charged. The $135 rib steak for 2 was the most overpriced steak I have ever eaten in nyc. Wine list is also not for the faint of heart. If you are using a company charge card or just won the lottery you should come and try it once. otherwise there are a lot better steakhouses in nyc. "

  • "None of our party of three was especially wowed by American Cut. The food was just ok as was the service. I did not care for the atmosphere - too flashy, too loud, and too cold. The ventilation system blew cold air directly on me, and when I asked a server about it, no offer was made to change our table. One of the appetizers, a crab cake, was only lukewarm. Not recommended."

  • "This was unlike any steakhouse I have ever entered. We sat in the bar area & the music was way too loud. I could barely hear our Waiter & I believe his voice was going out on him. I like the music & I like the energetic scene. Please turn the volume down a little so I can hear our waiter tell us the specials. Age range seemed to be 25-45 of most customers. Be prepared to drop some money. Opened with the Yellow Fin Tuna & Poached Lobster (not on the menu) Amazing! For dinner, we had the Tomahawk Rib-Eye for 2 with the Chili Lobster which was incredible. Sides included, Bone Marrow, Mushrooms & Polenta, Dry aged potatoes & Cauliflower. Bone marrow is like prime-rib fat on steroids. Very good & very RICH. A dish you should try at least once."

  • "For an Iron Chef- for a steakhouse that offers a Tomahawk- most disppointing-salads too salty, caesar way too heavy on dressing and cheese- Steak tartar, decent but TOO SALTY!!!!! Tomahawk for two- $155- more than 40% of steak all fat- we have had enjoyed Tomahawk steaks at other establishments that put this cut to shame- Will not return- plus a true medium rare is not blue and lukewarm- way too rare for medium rare- so much fat in the meat itself as well- Waste. Staff - too fussy- could not eat in peace- constantly moving tableware, trying to clear table- This is NOT Iron Chef quality fare. The location is great- music too loud -and atmosphere - cheesy Vegas Really bummed out- we were so excited to try. "

  • "My steak was excellent but there were too many twists to standard items. My husband and I ordered the Surf & Turf which consisted of a Tomahawk steak with lobster. I understood from the menu that the lobster was spicy but it was so spicy that I couldn't eat it. I prefer to taste the sweetness of fresh lobster and the chile overwhelmed it. I ordered a side dish of vegetables and they were so heavy with butter/oil that it was not a clean tasting complement to the steak. I have a dairy sensitivity so I ordered the sorbet for dessert but one of the sorbets was so spicy that I couldn't eat it and the other two flavors were not light and refreshing but were heavy."

  • "I took my girlfriend there for her birthday. The service was amazing and food was outstanding. Overall experience was great. The food was expensive and I ended up spending about $200 for a appetizer, 2 glasses of wine and 2 20oz steaks with spinach. Although it was pricey, it experience and the good time we had was priceless. We both had the New York City Cut with Pastrami spices, it was great! Additionally, the general manager was very welcoming and ensured you were taken care of. And to top it all off we saw Carmelo Anthony and Phil Jackson in the resturant. The future of the NY Knicks in the making!"

  • "Although three of us arrived to dinner on time, one of our guests was delayed due to closing a deal....not a problem, thanks to the cordial service. While three of us lingered over two rounds of drinks at the bar, we were promptly seated at a very nicely located table when our late guest arrived. By this time, the restaurant was buzzing. Friendly service was prompt and efficient, however we did not feel rushed. Everyone ordered delicious steaks and amazing side dishes. The restaurant was filled with mostly men (a large group seated nearby was quite boisterous). The men in our group were very comfortable in club-like chairs, so we lingered over dessert and conversation without feeling rushed to leave. "

  • "I had higher hopes. We had a 6pm reservation so the place wasn't full. We split a steak ordered two sides to split and wine (a fantastic Pinot noir which was the highlight). The food came within 15 minutes and we felt prodded constantly to order dessert of leave (can I get you anything else was the repeated slogan despite asking to slow down and that we would let them know). We has hardly had a moment after the quick meal to think about dessert and we had been there for less than 90 min and the place wasn't full. It was as though the waitress didn't hear me and came back too soon and too often to wrap us up. I would come back for the bar and go to strip house for a steak. "

  • "When compared with its more traditional competition, American Cut fails to match steak quality and service. One steak was served under-cooked (rare instead of medium rare). Plenty of points for creativity; no risk, no reward. But execution needs to be tightened up a bit for sure. The scene is a bit older and mature than one would have guessed for a hipper establishment."

  • "I ordered the Veal topped w/ his famous Chili Lobster. All I can say is "Wow, what a flavor explosion!" The veal was a t bone cut, charred beautifully on the outside & a nice medium rare (as I specified) on the inside. It was incredibly tender & juicy. No grizzle & very lean. The Chili Lobster never disappoints! Decorated in an art deco/Gatsby style, the overall mood is very romantic. I highly recommend American Cut!"
