I didn't do the wine pairings, but did a a "flight" of three half-bottles. All three were undistinguished. One of the waiters spilled water on my sister's scarf and the restaurant was kind enough to hang it to dry and then steam it for her. i would definately go back.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMInnovative Menu and Great ServiceI convinced my husband to give Ame a try because we needed a break from French-inspired restaurants. We loved our meal here. First, a big thumbs up for allowing one diner to order the tasting menu even if others don't want to do it. My husband loves tasting menus, but I can't eat red meat, which is on virtually every tasting menu in town. Ame doesn't have the "everybody must order the tasting menu" rule that most restaurants have, so my husband was thrilled. The spring garlic agnolotti with lobster was delicious, as was the sake-marinated black cod with shrimp dumplings. The server offered excellent wine recommendations.
