The food was decent but nothing to rave about. The service was probably the worst I have ever had. We waited ten minutes to be greeted by our waitress and get water. It took another 25 minutes to get our salads. Our entrees were good but it took another 25 minutes to get our meal.

Ambrosia is a nice elegant restaurant with moderate pricing. All of our entrees were delicious. The bread that they bring to the table before the meal was also delicious. Service was good.

Good food, good portions,, great location. I am a long time customer. A strange waiter, he disappeared for long periods, such as getting the wine, when the restaurant was not at all busy...also the current trend of referring to the table as "you guys" is really lame, particularly when one guest is an 88 year old woman. I do not expect wait staff to kiss by behind and would not want them to....I have worked as a waiter and bartender, but the lack of training and/or supervision is telling...not just here, but also at other newer cutting edge places too.

We love Ambrosia! We've had birthday parties in the private room, dinners to celebrate family occasions and just cozy romantic nights-out and are always treated with excellent service, great food and wonderful atmosphere. Its the gem of Broad Ripple and for any visitor to Indy a great dining experience in a fun location.

The restaurant was understaffed during our visit and the wait staff took 20 minutes between picking up our dessert plates and returning with the bill. The flank steak and the penne on the CDM menu were both mediocre. I'd recommend the cheesecake though. Probably won't return. The visit didn't provide quality in relation to the expense.

Food was delicious and had good presentation. We had flat iron steak and salmon. Both were perfectly prepared and accompanying sauces were delicious. Taking part in Chow Down Midtown afforded us the opportunity to have a four course dinner for a great price. I tried the grilled artichoke appetizer. Wonderful! We left completely satisfied with our choice of restaurants. Maybe next time we will dine outside. We would definitely recommend to a friend.

We are in our 60's and dine at Ambrosia, a LOT because we love the atmosphere, food and they mix a mean Martini (although the gin my husband likes was not in stock for the first time in all our dining.) On this occasion, we took the kids and grandkids for an early Father's Day and had an absolutely wonderful dinner and excellent service. We'll continue to come and rue the move scheduled for July as we love the location as well.

In town for the weekend only Ambrosia was at top of my must try again restaurant list. It didn't fail to meet my expectations. I had the Chicken Parmesean which was fabulous. The Caprese Salad was very tasty too. My niece had the Mare and she was in heaven. My nephew had the Veal Piccata which, he says, is his favorite dish.

My fellow diners enjoyed their food (lasagna and a salmon dish), but the mushroom gnocchi was disappointing. It was described as a "wild mushroom ragout" but it actually was tomato sauce with mushrooms in it. I usually get the linguine alla vongole and I will know better the next time.

This is one of my favorite places in Broad Ripple to eat! The food is always great, the bartenders our always great, but the service could use some love. This particle night we had reservations at 7:00, but still had to wait on a table? At 7:35 PM we settled for a table in the bar area in lieu of the dining side. Unfortunately our server was unattentive. Our food wasn't served until about 8:30 PM and I had to go to the bartender to get drink refills for our table. The food ended up being great as expected, but the service really kills the total experience.

Thought we would dine here once more before their planned move to smaller quarters not far from the current location. We always expect a pleasant experience and were not disappointed. The excellent server mentioned that he had worked there for many years, and would likely move to the new spot. The menu is not lengthy but has many good choices. One thing we especially like is that half-servings are available on several items. We hope the new location will be as reliable as this one.

We arrived for a reservation for 4 at 5:15pm, telling the host that we were attending a concert at 7:30. Our service was superb, and the foor was delicious. We ordered a double order of calamari as an appetiser, followed by our entrees of various pasta dishes. We ended our meal with splitting a dish of tiramisu, which was also superb. I highly recommend Ambrosia!

Great restaurant. We went there for Valentine's Day. Our waitress wasn't very attentive to our table. She took our appetizer order and then came back ten minutes later to take it again. And then she forgot to take our dinner order. I've been there before. Maybe it was just an off night for her with it being Valentine's Day. What a pleasure to dine at a restaurant that wasn't as big as a barn and didn't have the noise level of one! The music was appropriate and added to the ambience. The selections were ample without being overwhelming. And I loved how authentically the food was served--not a ton of pasta heaped on a plate. The wait staff were perfect. Never hovering; always there when needed. Very well trained. I had asked for a table with some privacy (it was our anniversary), and that's exactly what we got. Plus the owner came and talked to us as we were ordering our desserts, which turned out to be on the house. We'll be back!
