"This was our first time at Ambria, and we will definitely go back! The wine list is great and the food was excellent. We highly recommend that you try the Diver's Scallops small plate--a real treat!"

"just have to be prepared for very small portions for their "small plates" -- really cannot be shared. duck had a lot of fat in the duck/gnocci dish. flavors were excellent. can get pricey if ordering small and large dishes."

"Go here. The wine list is great and the prices are too. They have lots of small plates to mix and match what you want. We had a delicious rabbit plate, a refreshing salmon tartare plate, and brusells sprouts with balsamic on them - outstanding. For entrees we had some of the best gnocchi I have ever had with a huge portion of duck and a very tasty cioppino. The service was also very good. Would have liked more choices for dessert although we had a delicious spiced chocolate sorbet - very different."

"There were max....6 people in the restaurant. The food had no taste and it was creepy that the manager/owner was staring us down. Not a pleasant experiences. We will not return."

"The small plate scallops were the best I have had in years -- and the brussle sprouts were tasty. My friend had the venison and found it delicious as well. Our waiter was a little too involved in the food for me, while we had other waiters swirling trying to get an order to the correct table - but overall a very pleasant experience."

"The perfect place for a lunch meeting. We were seated in a semi-private room off the front bar. All lunch entrees were very good to great. One raved about the cioppino, another about the butter lettuce salad with salmon, pistachios, oranges, beets, and unusual but delicious quinoa. I had a goat sandwich - so different and good. The burgers were large and looked great. Our server - Michael - was outstanding - not interrupting but there when we needed him."

"While we really enjoyed our time at Ambria, everyone in our group agreed that we don't expect this restaurant to last long because of the expense of the meal. We didn't feel like we ordered too much food, but the bill at the end of the night was very high. Too bad because we liked everything else about the experience."

"Ambria was recommended to me by a co-worker. As part of a party of 3, 2 different items that were ordered were returned to the kitchen and not re-ordered. One was the butternut squash soup which tasted like the cheesy roux you make for mac and cheese. The other was the roasted chicken, which in presentation alone, looked awful. Who pays $20 for two pieces of thigh swimming in some strange soupy broth, while the skin isn't even crisp? Even my striped bass was overly cooked to a brown crisp on one side. All in all, the food left something to be desired. If they continue with sub-par food, they might not be open for long."

"It was okay. It's very expensive (especially the wine). I wouldn't call it the best restaurant that I've been to but for $150 for two people it should have been outstanding."
