Amber CaféVery nice restaurant and ambience.
Very nice restaurant and ambience.
Would definitely consider it upscale dining.
Very appropriate for a birthday / Father's Day event the dining experience was scheduled for.
Service was top notch and the courses were properly paced.
Unfortunately I do not drink wine and cannot comment on the selections, but it seemed well-appointed.
Also I did not get out back to the outdoor area. I wish I would have seen this part of the establishment.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLocal hidden gemGal pals went out to dinner to catch up and we had a wonderful time, meal and service were great. We weren't rushed by the waiter and he was very friendly and helpful.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst TimerI am new to the area, so I wanted to try some of the local dining. Amber Cafe was a real find. Our meal was outstanding. I had the rack of lamb and my girlfriend had the meatloaf. Our server fabian was outstanding. We had a very enjoyable time. we will be back for sure to try the outdoor area.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchThis was a delightful Mother's Day brunch spot with a nice variety of cold appetizers, salads, and warm entrees. It is a small location but they did a good job maximizing space and flow. I would definitely return and sample their regular menu as the brunch was very good.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDowntown Meal in Your NeighborhoodHonored the reservation at a prime time on Saturday night. Seated us immediately. Wonderful server, attentive, knowledgable, made great suggestions without being pushy. Food was outstanding - party of four had halibut special, beef short rib, gnocchi, and special risotto. Crab cake appetizer was delicious. Prices were more than reasonable. Wine was excellent, but a little bit pricey. Room was loud and made conversations challenging. They did not rush us in any way. We were there almost 2 1/2 hours and never once felt like they wanted us to leave. On the contrary, made us feel most welcome and paced our meal nicely. Would go back in an instant.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAmber is a 17!While we don't visit Amber nearly enough I can say that when we do make time to dine at Bronko's fine restaurant we are never disappointed. It was a wet and cold Tuesday evening for this particular visit & consequently the level of activity at the restaurant was very light. This translated into impeccable service (which is always the case even when packed to the gills)and the food was, as always, fantastic. I had carpaccio to start followed by the braised short rib risotto along with a couple of glasses of a fine Meritage. My lovely bride had the beet & goat cheese salad with a substitute of spinach over arugula followed by veal tenderloin along with a couple of pomegranate martini's. On a scale of 1-10 Amber is a 17!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous food! We just discoveredFabulous food! We just discovered this gem last weekend. It was so good, we came back again a week later with guests!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was imaginative and wellFood was imaginative and well prepared, and the service was solicitous but not intrusive. We will return to this restaurant.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect date nightWe have been to Amber twice and both experiences have been outstanding. The wait staff is knowledgable and attentive. The food is always well prepared with fresh ingredients. They have a well appointed wine list. It is the perfect date night, neighborhood find.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first trip toThis was our first trip to Amber Cafe. The restaurant is located in downtown Westmont. It is a cozy, warm room that is welcoming. This restaurant is managed by the same group that manages Topaz in Burr Ridge. The menu is different but the three kinds of fresh bread that comes with the meal is similar to the bread at Topaz. The food was good as was the service. We liked Amber Cafe but didn't find anything remarkable about it as we did with Topaz.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
