This was our second visit to Reserve. When my wife had some questions about the gluten free options on the menu, the waiter sent the chef out to talk to us and offer his personal suggestions. The food was great Its a great place to eat before the theater.

I have enjoyed the Reserve at the Ambassador Hotel for lunch many times, but had not been there for dinner. I selected my first dinner visit to celebrate my adult daughter's birthday. I reserved on OpenTable and included a note to Shaun, the head Chef, that I was bringing my family for a birthday celebration. When we arrived, they were ready for us. Shaun came out to greet us, welcome my family and wish my daughter a happy birthday. Shaun and our server, Brittany, ensured that we had the best family dining experience ever. The kids pronounced this our new place to go for all family dinners. And said it would be a great place to take a date. Shaun, Brittany, thank you for an unforgettable experience! The food is amazing. We will be back!

We spent a very enjoyable evening at Reserve. Everything was high quality: atmosphere, cuisine, service. The staff goes out of their way to make sure everyone is not just satisfied but treated royally. The chef's visit to the table added another special touch--delightful in everyway.

My husband & I recently dined on a Thursday evening at Reserve prior to an event at the nearby Sprint Center. As it was fairly early hour to allow time before the event started, the restaurant was not crowded. The service was very good and it was nice to have the chef stop by our table and chat about our entrees. The price point was competitive with other fine dining establishments. A nice stop and we'll plan on a return trip sometime.

This was our first time here. We went before a concert. The room is beautiful and very comfortable. The menu is not extensive, but the food was good. I had spaghetti and meatballs which was flavorful --the portion WAY TOO BIG. Beet salad is very good. Short ribs, is one rib only, but plenty of food and tasty. The side dishes were served as a separate dish, which made the plate not as pretty as it could have been. We will be back to try other items. Service slightly slow as they were not busy.

Having lived in Chicago, I can say that the Ambassador Hotel's Reserve restaurant lounge reminded me of the little places in downtown Chicago that only the townies know about. The decor is a lush modern feel (a few too many pillows) but very comfortable to meet for lunch. The chanterelle mushroom soup was very flavorful and the Cobb Salad was to be expected. I would definitely recommend the Ambassador's Reserve again to people I know.

We enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was above average. However our server wasn't knowledgeable of the menu. We weren't informed of the specials, given bread and she also didn't get our order correct. Overall we did enjoy the Reserve, but there is definite room for improvement as far as service.

A group of us (4) visited for Easter Brunch and were delighted with the decor and the atmosphere. The restaurant is chic and the decor very well done. Our waitress who is a little quirky made it clear that she was there to serve and make us happy - even going to the trouble of making a lemonade from scratch...and then it all went down hill. Iced tea was served - but it was apple juice - an easy enough mistake. Butter wasn't butter - it was mayonnaise. Hmmm. And then we waited, and waited, and waited for food. An hour and a half later...yes....an hour and a half later, we were served our food. How busy was it? Another table of 6 only! Our apology from the manager - lousy. He clearly blamed the waitress. I thought he'd pick up the check!

A lovely restaurant in Downtown with a menu that mirrors other's throughout the city. Unimaginative flat bread, Korean style tacos like so many others. However, the short rib was delicious and the strip was also good. All in all, it was a nice place but doesn't set itself apart.

When we arrived, we were made to feel special because the waiter stated that he had prepared a special table for us. It was as if they knew it was our anniversary because of the romantic seating, even though I had not mentioned this. We became a little concerned about the service after we sat down because we were abandoned at our table for about 5 or 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. It appeared as though they were short staffed temporarily and there seemed to be a sense of panic with the few staff members that were available. Finally, a waitress appeared and took our order and everything seemed to go smooth from that point on. Loved the decor and atmosphere of this place!

FANTASTIC!!! Every item we have tried in 3 visits now (brunch + 2 dinners) has been excellent - as has service! Coq a vin and the walnut/basil pesto pasta were both outstanding. Goat cheese salad was great too. Can't wait to try the Baileys Bread Pudding (from the head Irish Chef) sometime when I'm not so full from cleaning my plate!!! And the ambiance of this lovely boutique hotel, with restaurant tucked in the back, past the lobby of a pristinely and chicly restored old bank building, is beautiful and elegantly comfortable as well. I plan to be a regular here since we live downtown. And for those who don't - it's well worth the drive!

The Reserve had good to excellent food. My Arugula salad was as expected, but fairly routine. The Coq au Vin was excellent and very true to the original version, except for a somewhat lighter, but still wonderfully flavored sauce. The chicken appeared to have been roasted separately so it stood out from the sauce and had it's own flavor. Wine list is very limited, but there are some decent selections. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic - would be good for an anniversary or birthday dinner for 2 The service was okay but the waiter was late taking our order, checking back and bringing the bill. I would try it again if in the area for dinner. 2 salads, entrees, 2 glasses of wine and tip - $91.00.
