A word from Amarelle
Overlooking a scenic duck pond in Wading River on the threshold of North Fork wine country, Amarelle serves up contemporary country cuisine at the skillful hand of Co-Owner and Executive Chef Lia Fallon. A centerpiece stone fireplace warms the airy and casually elegant dining room in fall and winter and tall French doors open to airy north shore breezes in the summer. An extensive wine list features many Long Island wines to go with the French-inspired dishes that utilize local fruits, cheese, produce and duck. A sophisticated “north shore culinary gem” for relaxing after a day of wine tasting. Live music for the weekend sets the perfect backdrop. Experience Amarelle’s deep appreciation for great food, great wine and great music.

  • Christmas Eve gift!

My parents and I had a wonderful dinner on Christmas Eve. There was a terrific variety on the menu, as well as choice of large or small portions. Our server, Kelly, was a gem!!! The ambiance was beautiful, the place decorated tastefully for the holidays. The ONLY problem, a minor one, is that the acoustics are sometimes difficult. There are no rugs nor drapes to absorb sound. My mom wears hearing aids and found it difficult to hear the background holiday music that was playing. If there is anything that could be done to absorb sound, this would truly be a perfect place to eat. The food was artfully presented and tasted exquisite!

  • Reservations were from Christmas

Reservations were from Christmas eve dinner. My wife;nine year old daughter and mys elf were seated by a friendly hostess and the servive commenced promptly and friendly. Our menu was well rounded and price fied for certain selections. We decided to select ala carte'appetizers and entrees. Wine by the glass was ordered and the selections were excellent. As it turns out we thoroughly enjoyed the Special Seafood bisque and continued to our appetizers of fried calamari and baked clams. Entrees were served; Lobster Risotto;Striped Bass along with a half portion of mussels. The lobster risotto was delicious; however the stock used to make the risotto was eerily familiar ans tasted exactly like the Bisque we enjoyed 30 minutes prior. Too similar!

Went for a birthday gathering with 5 people. Menu has good variety. I has the bison hanger steak, which was quite good. It would be nice to see some dedicated appetizers on the menu.having to choose from half portions as appetizers does not leave much of an options. The only issue we had was that the waiter obviously had a cold and was wiping his nose with his hand. Not fun to watch...

I have been here many times before, it just happened to be restaurant week when we went, what a great menu at a great price. I had the salad amarelle and duck and both were prepared perfectly, my wife ordered the beets and the salmon and were very pleased with the portion sizes and how well everything tasted, the staff did a great job in the very busy dinning room, they didn't miss a step. I'm actually planning on brining my family back on Christmas Eve

This was our first visit, and it was the end of restaurant week, so I'm going to assume that they were very busy. I had s reservation, and when we arrived, we were immediately seated. However, we were not asked for our oder for 20 minutes. During the 20 minute wait for a server, we did receive water. No bread, no "Someone will be with you shortly" nothing. The food was good, but not great. It was displayed nicely. I'm sorry to say that my first visit did not provide me with any substatial desire to come back to experience their full menu.

Amarelle is a beautiful restaurant, however, I felt it was a bit pricey and you really didn't get much bang for the buck! When I made the reservation, I mentioned we were celebrating a 'special birthday'. Never mentioned that!! The half / full order is a little confusing, but the food was good, for the amount you got. I will say that we had to continously ask for bread, and a few of us left hungry!!! Would be great if they scale it down a bit. This is Wading River, not Manhattan.

This was our second time there. Love the concept of the small and large plates, also love the seasonal changes. The service was spot on. They have a really nice wine list, the only thing I could critique is that I wish they had a sommelier to help us. It was a very busy night and we didn't want to put our waiter out, although he was very accomidating. Every course was just delicious.

I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful time we had at Amarelle's. I'm still talking about it to my friends. The food was outstanding. I haven't enjoyed a meal of this quality in a long, long time. The pacing of when each course came out was perfect. I truly enjoyed the little extras. The amuse bouche was an unexpected delight. I also want to compliment the service of our waiter. As a former waitress in West Hampton, I truly appreciate the professionalism that he exhibited. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Hopefully it will be soon! Thank you for making this birthday celebration for my best friend such a fabulous experience.

Go to Amarelle for the food. The baked clams were terrific. Striped Bass was great. Duck, steak, and rack of lamb all very good. Don't miss the warm, stuffed cookies for dessert. If you're in a hurry don't go to Amarelle as the service can be a little slow. For example, after being seated, it took almost 10 minutes for our server to get to us. During that time we sat with our menus, no water, and finally had to flag down a busboy to get our drink order in. Once the server did arrive things did go a bit more smoothly, however food did take some time to arrive.

The difference between a merely good restaurant and a possibly great one is that they keep trying to get better. Amarelle fits the bill. Don't miss the fall warm mushroom salad and the juicy brisket with baby leeks, mash potatoes and sour cream. Yummy. And since they offer half potions on all items you wil not break the bank when you eat here. A great deal for us seniors who just can't eat large portions any longer and often leave half behind.
