Amadeus ManorKristine/ Owner & Server/Kristine/ Owner & Server/ Hostess is worth the experience. She is such a character & homemade food is lovely.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMIn addition to the great foodIn addition to the great food we really like the ambience of the old house. The noise level is low enough that you can have a conversation without shouting. In so many downtown restaurants the noise level can be high enough that it is hard to think let alone talk.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMSince is was Easter BrunchSince is was Easter Brunch it was busy and it took just as long to get our check as it was to enjoy our meal.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our self . HadWe enjoyed our self . Had a nice romantic evening.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was a first time visitThis was a first time visit for my wife and I, the waiter was awesome, the food was perfect, it was not crowded and was simply one of the better meals I have had from a high end style of eatery...not that it was too expensive. Also the owner was very funny and was checking to make sure every one was doing well and enjoying their food. Definitely recommended.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden gem on the edge of PortlandWhen I stumbled across this restaurant, I really had no idea what to expect. Portlanders certainly do not think of the Milwaukie area when considering a night of fine dining. They are missing out if they overlook Amadeus Manor. The food is wonderful and the service is terrific. The pace is VERY relaxed, so you actually are able to enjoy an exceptional appetizer before your meal arrives. The view of the Willamette as the sun sets is not to be missed.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMElegant and GorgeousIt was a beautiful start to the evening with friends. Great food, wonderful hostess and great view. The house itself is gorgeous and was an elegant and delightful experience.2/23/2013 12:00:00 AMPlace was a madhouse for ValentinesPlace was a madhouse for Valentines day, but the staff and food more than made up for the wait, with copious amounts of complimentary champagne and wine. If you are in a rush, it's not the place for you. But if you are patient and can appreciate the ambiance, it's a wonderful dining experience.2/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely Stunning and ScrumptiousWhat an awesome experience. We went for Valentine's Day to create a memory of our first V Day married. Amadeus Manor didn't disappoint. We had never been before and were impressed by the gorgeous architecture of the building, the immaculate, antique furnishings. Even though the restaurant was deluged with other reservations, our server made sure to give us personal service and kept us laughing with her quirky jokes. Even though the restaurant was full, we didn't feel crowded and had our own, private niche of the room. The food was also amazing. It was served at a good pace, with each course arriving just a bit after we finished the previous one and each course full of amazing flavors beautifully presented. We will definitely be coming back.2/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing on any other dayIt was a beautiful place! The staff was friendly, and it was very romantic.
However... I do not recommend going on a holiday. Especially valentines day. We had reservations at 6:00.. And by 8:00 we didn't have our dinner yet, so we ended up just leaving. They were very overwhelmed, but gracious at the same time. For the salad, bread and drinks we received, the food was delicious. I highly recommend going on any regular day!2/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
